A great hole in the wall. My fiancée stop there once or a week to see Maggie(who is only the best bartender in the world) she is pretty sexy funny and really a great person. She has become one of our good friends. Other than Maggie it’s a mixed crowd, everybody is pleasant. You meet some interesting people there. One of my greatest stories comes from being at Eddie’s with my fiancée on a Saturday night at around midnight. We see one of the regulars we know a black guy from Detroit who also became a good friend. His name was Charles, whom I called him Sir Charles. He was always dressed very nice and was clearly from the hood, which he would love to tell us stories about. Well on this particular night Charles was telling us about his sports jersey business. He claimed he could get any replica NBA jersey of any basketball player from any era for $ 50.00. Well I had to call bullshit on that one. He asked what do you want. I told him there was no way he could fulfill my request. He said in a true«Detroit street hustler style» bring it on bitch. I laughed and said ok fucko I’ll pay you double If you get me a 1969 New York Knick #10 Walt Frazier home jersey size xxxL He smirked and said what will you give me if I had it here in 15 minutes. Knowing He could not possibly deliver I told him I’d double it again $ 200. As fast as the words came out of my mouth he was on his way out the door telling me it was 12:18am and he would be back in 12 min. My fiancée and I laughed, and went back to finishing our cocktails. No lie in 11 min he was back at Eddies with a size xxxl walt frazier #10 New York Knick home jersey, asking me what time is it, and what time did I leave. He continued You have the nerve to doubt Sir charles(all in a jesting manner). After a moment of utter shock I smiled, and said I never did but that was magic. I pulled out my cash and peeled off 200 large and put it in his hand and we gave each other a big hug. He bought drinks the rest of the night. Since then we had seen him at Eddies a few times and then lost touch with each other. We moved and had not been to Eddies for several months. I asked Maggie had she seen Charles, she looked at me with sadness and said, yo didn’t hear. To which I said hear what? Pretty much knowing it was bad. Maggie told us a few weeks ago Charles was killed in a car accident. My jaw dropped and sadness overwhelmed me and tears filled my eyes. My fiancée also was overcome with sadness. Well, Sir Charles Thank you for the great story, and the times we shared. You are fondly remembered and loved by your friends Bill & Margie, and Maggie. As well as many others I’m sure. If you have never been to Eddies stop there and ask Maggie to tell you story about Sir Charles buy a shot and toast to Sir Charles. Im sure he is selling jerseys in heaven. Much love to our dear friend.

Eddie’s bar, who knew. What a fun amazing hole in the wall! Maggie is AMAZING! She will never forget a face. She’s fun and vibrant. Exactly what I want after a long day at work! Thank you Maggie, and Eddie’s for making the end of my day all better.

Maggie is the best. She treats you like a long lost friend every time you walk in the door and gets your drink before you can even order it. She’s got a great memory and handles the sometimes rowdy regulars with ease. Great neighborhood dive bar, miss living closer to it.

Best little hidden gem of a bar with the most welcoming beautiful spirited smiling bartender, Maggie, that makes you feel like you’ve been friends forever… even though it’s the first time you met. Cheers Maggie!

The greatest dive bar of all time. Pool table and a bar… That’s it. The bar staff is interesting to say the least. My wife and I love this place.

Maggie is the bomb-dizzle. Was driving down the road with no particular place to go. As I drove saw the faint neon signs of eddies tavern… And thought to myself I must stop in for a beer. One turned to two, which turned into a local guy Dan buying me a beer. Great places are defined by the patrons, and the bad ass bartender who could probably beat the sh! t out of me, or at least when I get out of line.

Eddie’s has become one my favorite dive bars in town without really being a «dive» bar. The crowd is some if the trust professional drunks I’ve ever seen but always a lot of fun and great prices to boot.. no panzy asss wwak drinks either!

This is unfortunate because, ask me three days ago & I would’ve given this place 5 stars! Maggie is our favorite bartender around. We live right down the street, frequent the bar often, bring friends, and spend money. However, on the few times we’ve been in when Jaxx was working, we’ve noticed that she often seems intoxicated and has never been overtly nice to us… fine…it’s a dive bar. But being that we all either ARE or WERE bartenders, we know how customers should be treated and we know how to take care of our bartenders. On one particular occasion, a group of us ordered 6 beers and 6 shots and were charged a whopping $ 110! A rip-off even by Snottsdale standards! After confronting Jaxx about the bill, an altercation ensued which moved OUTSIDE of the bar and resulted in Jaxx hitting one of our female friends in the face! It’s such a drag because we live in the hood and LOVE this bar. Maggie works Wed-Sat nights… I recommend avoiding this place like the plague any other time.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Maggie is like a mom to me. When I go to Eddie’s, I mostly go to see her. Nick is pretty awesome, too. It is a small bar, but everyone knows eachother. I just love the friendliness of everyone, especially the staff. They are always so happy to see me. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a bar to attend regularly. Say hi to Maggie and Nick for me!

For the most part Eddie’s is a great bar, Maggie and Jeannie are the best and they’re why I’ve been going there for years. Last nights events however will cause me to think twice about when or if I return. A different bartender stayed after her shift, got drunk then verbally assaulted a patron who wasn’t bothering anyone. A sad performance and unfair to Maggie, the poor assaulted patron and all the other(obviously uncomfortable) people there. I’d avoid Eddie’s if Maggie or Jeannie aren’t bartending.

I like this place and Maggie is the bomb. Good happy hour prices and it’s on the way home. This is really a place for locals as I see the same people there all the time, which is fine by me…

This is a 100% authentic old-school neighborhood dive bar. Well worth a visit if you’re ever in the area. Beer and a shot please!
