Kinda pricey for baby/kids shoes. BUT, apparently a lot cheaper than if you were to go to the actual Stride Rite store. The gal that helped my mom and I out picking out a shoe for Baby C, was very informative. He’s had his shoes now for over 2 weeks and is starting to stand on his own and has taken a few unassisted steps! I believe the shoes have had a role to play in that. Will probably make the trek back up to Anthem when he needs a bigger pair. :)

My 1 year old out-grows her shoes every 3 months. I only want to put her in the best shoes and my family and friends tell me to stick with Stride Rite shoes. First time my husband and I took my daughter to be fitted for her first pair of sneakers at 10 months when she started walking, we purchased two pairs of shoes for $ 72 — and that was during a buy one get one ½ off sale inside PV Mall. The mall prices are ridiculous! 3 months later, they no longer fit and it was time to purchase shoes again. So we checked out the Stride Rite Outlet in Anthem and bought one pair of sneakers for only $ 9.99 and another pair of mary janes for $ 12.99. I couldn’t beleive how much less they are at the outlets than at the mall. And they have more of a selection of styles to choose from. They are the last years or last seasons styles, but who cares?! Now I can keep my child in really good shoes for her growing feet and not spend a fortune on it. The girls at the outlets also suggested that I should be putting my child in a Wide size and her shoes fit so much better and she doesn’t put up a fuss anymore when we put shoes on her. When I had her foot fitted at the mall location the lady said I didn’t need a wide for my daughter even though I told her I felt that a wide shoe would be best. Well, we trusted the opinion of the stride rite employee and did not buy the wide and my daughter had the worst fits whenever she had to have her shoes put on. Now that we have her in a wide, I can tell she is much more comfortable in them. I feel like the employees at the outlets had more knowledge regarding the fit than the PV mall employee from my first shopping visit at Stride Rite. If you have kids and like to put them in Stride Rites, check out the outlets and you will save so much money!
