Was hoping for the Southern Charm that I’ve felt at all the other restaurants we experienced however our waitstaff Cathy did not live up to what I personally experienced so far… She was extremely friendly with other tables but not so much with us. ! Cracker Barrel in Kingman, AZ and St. George waitstaff always made me feel welcome. So sad Pigeon Forge! My eggs were supposed to be County scrambled and when they came warm not hot just plain scrambled. The food never disappoints but the waitstaff was not to the standard I was accustomed to.

Southern grilled chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was grilled and seasoned excellent! However, there was not enough Caesar dressing as it was dry for the most part. It was fine though-just could’ve been a great salad instead of good. The waitress was also in a bit of a hurry and forgot a couple things without bringing them to us(lemons for our drinks and ketchup for our kids shrimp-they hate cocktail sauce) — but it was a busy night with the first of two car shows coming to the Pigeon Forge area forth the weekend. Overall, they moved us in and out quickly and without much care… typical for these cookie cutter chain restaurants-just expected more southern hospitality being in Tennessee and all.

Good service and good food. It’s pretty much what you would expect at any Cracker Barrel. They had a fire going which was really nice!

«Delicious food! You find great food here!» Great Smokies food. You obviously get what you pay for. I’ve been here a ton of times, as I don’t live in Tennessee, I live in Illinois, I go here only when I go on vacation, but I always go at least twice. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, you name it, it’s served here. I got fried chicken tenders and fries. I was born in Tennessee and I know southern food, but after college, I moved to Illinois. The Chicken was amazing! Perfectly cooked. I loved the fries. It took 45 mins, but the food was when we got it, it was perfect! I can’t wait to come back!

Went for dinner tonight with the family. Good food and great service. The waiter was very cordial and took good care of each one of the group.

This restaurant is a Cracker Barrel. It’s a national chain, so I think it’s pointless to review the food, etc., if you don’t like Cracker Barrel food you will not like this place, so just stop reading. This restaurant was wonderfully managed and staffed. Every single employee we encountered, from the kind lady who sat us, to our WONDERFUL waitress, to the manager who told us to have a blessed day on our way out the door. It was clean, service was quick but not rushed, our food was cooked perfectly. If you need a great breakfast in Pigeon Forge before heading to DollyWood or to any other attractions, this is a wonderful spot to go.

Barbara and the crew handled our party of 30 like pros. 4 servers took orders, the food was prepared quicky, and having the checks by seat number made this the best experience ever.

Must have hit at a good time. We were sat right away, got drink right way and food was out before I was able to come back from the bathroom! The Waitress was a sweet women took our order and had it out in no time, we finished everything so fast we even had time to walk around the gift shop. Everything seemed clean and well organized, and everyone had a smile on like it was part of their uniform. One of the best cracker barrels I’ve visited in a long time.

Since there is not a Cracker Barrel near my house I make it a point to visit one every time we are on vacation. This location by far gave the BEST service we have ever had at a Cracker Barrel! The food was great! The staff was super attentive, but not in a way that seemed like you were being constantly bothered. Every employee we came across greeted us with a smile and even some friendly chit chat.

We ordered 5 meals to go. Everyone liked theirs. Hamburger steak was good, but it need steak sauce. Green were wonderful. Country fried steak & gravy was fabulous. Chicken & dumplings, loved it. Loved the rolls & cornbread. $ 7.69 a meal is a great deal!

Let me start off by saying, I’m from California. If you’ve read my other Unilocal reviews, you might consider my version of «comfort food» different from what you’d find on the Cracker Barrel menu. BUT, I also love to try new restaurants. When I took a mini-vaca to visit the BF’s cousin in Tennessee, I was ready to stuff my face with all the food the South could offer. I was not disappointed at the Cracker Barrel, it seemed a little touristy and I was under the impression that it would be like an IHOP with a souvenir shop. I was wrong. The biscuits and corn bread won me over after the first bite. I gobbled them up so fast; I was already full before the real meal was served. We first went there for dinner and I had chicken and dumplings with fried okra and apples. It was yummy; it had a good balance of dumplings and tender chunks of chicken. I like okra and all its squishy texture, but the fried okra had a surprisely firm texture but still had flavor and a slight crunch from the batter. It might have been because I was too full, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the fried apples. I think they would have gone better with pancakes. For lunch, the BF ordered the chicken fried chicken and I forced him to share it with me because it was crispy, yet tender and flavorful. The mac N’ cheese and grits also had to be shared. :) We all split the Coca-Cola cake, which I couldn’t stop eating(do you see a pattern here?). The second time we went to a Cracker Barrel, we had pancakes, fried chicken, and pork chops. I’m more of a waffle person but the PANCAKESAREAMAZING! The syrup they served warm in those cute little bottles made the pancakes even better. I couldn’t resist and bought pancake mix and syrup afterwards. The servers were friendly and attentive despite a bustling restaurant. The food came out warm and in a timely manner. It’s great that they offer breakfast all day long too. I wish we had a Cracker Barrel in SD! It beats The Broken Yolk and the brunch spots I’ve tried.

Seriously? I’m not sure what all the hype is about but I was seriously let down. All I hear from my mother-in-law is «Cracker Barrel» this and«Cracker Barrel» that so on my visit to Tennessee I just HAD to go. Wow, what a horrible let down. The food was cold, the mashed potatoes were hard and«old», not creamy and warm, the gravy was so thick and sticky it was inedible and the portions were very small. Out of nine people in our party, not one person was happy with their meal. The only reason I’m giving a two instead of a one is because the prices were reasonable and the service was friendly. There are too many restaurants to try to ever return to a Cracker Barrel!

Look, as far as food, this CB is about like any other. What blew my mind about this place was the politeness of the staff. IFYOUGOGETMICHELLE as a server! She is an all star. I am a pretty big guy and cups in restaurants are usually shot glasses to me. On her own accord when she brought the drinks, she brought me two and said«I bet u can get thirsty sir». My wife laughed out loud. Michelle never missed a beat and even recommended a super nature spot to take the girls. You can’t get better service anywhere… and I am a super stickler on service.

Very slow service even with Restuarant almost empty. Food was below average for a Cracker Barrel(been a Cracker Barrel fan for years). Inexperienced servers abound.

I’ll give Cracker Barrel a couple of things: — Service is always slow. Whether I go to one in Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee, you better not be in a hurry or be thirsty. — If you need biscuits(any Southerner will know what I mean) and Granny is nowhere to be found, this is your spot. We ate at this one on the day after we got into town. First salad I have ever gotten at a CB and it was good, if not small. Server was nice, but too many tables for any human to handle in a timely fashion. No major complaints at all and the food was, as usual, good enough to make sure I come back time and again.

Typical chain restaurant. Decent food(nothing fancy or overwhelming). Decent service. Decent prices(even though some of their menu items are a little pricey for the amount of food). However, I would definitely give Cracker Barrel a nod over Bob Evans in most categories. Nothing more, nothing less. A little disappointed in the cleanliness of the restroom facilities.

Cracker barrel! I only got to go once, so I’m not sure I got to experience enough of this place to write an accurate review, but I wanted to review it anyway. This place is a Southern chain with rocking chairs outside and tables to play dominoes! Awesome. I got the catfish and found out that I don’t like catfish. But Cracker Barrel was pretty fun even just for the experience. Or maybe I just love the South.
