Wood Grill Buffet

Ok, so I hate buffets because they are designed to encourage overconsumption of unhealthy food. America has a serious obesity problem and AUCE buffets do nothing to dissuade a portly population from its gluttony. Unfortunately, every other place we called had a 45 min-​1 hr wait.
Having said that to relieve my conscience of eating at such a place, I will describe this place as having a wide variety of food choices: Southern style, Italian, seafood, Asian, American, etc. One of the great things (and sad things) about a buffet is that if you don’t like it, you don’t have to eat it. I probably left half my food uneaten. Most of the food seemed like it came from Sam’s which is fine, if that is what I expected, but alas, I expected more.
The chocolate cake was very most and went well with the soft serve ice cream. Our server was very conscientious and kept our glasses full and table cleared.
On the plus side, an adult meal with the drink was only $ 13 and $ 11 for the kids.
Nevertheless, I cannot imagine eating at this restaurant again.

Should have read the reviews!!! First off the A/​C was broke and although it wasn’t unbearable, it was uncomfortable. The food is what you would expect from a large buffet style place. $ 16.99 per person is to much to pay for this type of food though. The best thing about the place is that they sat our party of 20 right away.

We decided to go here for breakfast on our 4^th morning in Pigeon Forge. We are a family of 6, so price is an issue for us. The price for all of us was $ 55, our 5 yr old was free. Drinks were not included in the price, and are an additional $ 2.50 per person.
This was a case of «getting what you pay for.» I wouldnt come back to this place if it were free. The food was dry, the french toast and pancakes looked as if they had been reheated from the day before. There was NOTHING on this buffet that was worth having again. My son had a donut that was stale. Everything was just gross. Pay the extra and eat a good meal somewhere else.

WAYYYYY OVER OVER OVER OVER OVER OVER OVER PRICED!!! They say it’s a huge buffet and it is but not because they have a lot of different options but because they have everything spread out. Great staff and regular buffet food but EXTREMELY over priced.

Went there with my family and the service was terrible! The employees were so rude. They actually told me, my wife and several other diners to get out of their way. The food was decent but don’t go for the ribs, they were like cardboard. Afterwards my wife did not feel very good. This was written by my father in law.

I read the reviews first but we still ate here. We will not here again. Way overpriced. The service was exceptional but the food was not. The quantity of food is amazing but the quality was terrible. Nothing tasted very good. I would not recommend this place.

Gross gross gross! And too expensive! Dishes are dirty chicken is dry. My husband insisted to come here… these are the reasons I don’t eat at buffets! Don’t waste your time or money!

It’s was ok food. Better than the golden coral in pigeon forge. Wasn’t the best I’ve had but not the worse. The floor was very slippery to the point i was scared to walk up there anymore. The dessert bar needed some help. The cooks changed out food as we were eating but still not much different than golden coral. Worse part getting hassled on the way out by someone wanting you to take a tour. Wth, I’m on my honeymoon no I don’t want to take your tour of your condos. They need to step up their game on food and get rid of the pest at the exit. This could be a nice money maker if under different owners or management. Everyone acted like they just didn’t care anymore. They need someone in there with some southern roots to teach them how to cook proper southern food especially the mac and cheese

Was not impressed with the food. The service and staff were great! Food wise, I was less than impressed. Granted I did go during brunch and not dinner so that could have made a difference. The buffet was long and included lots of options from asian to Italian to American. Bunch of desert options also.

Best of the best when it comes to buffets! Walk down a small Asian section and try a little of what catches your eye but save room because next stop is Mexico and you will want to do the Mexican Hat Dance when you see the selection just across the border from Asia AND YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW YOUR GEOGRAPHY!!! Want MEAT? Melt in your mouth Sirloin steak, ham, pork ribs, roast beef at the next station and sautéed mushrooms, onions and green peppers!
USA USA USA! fried and baked chicken, pot roast with potatoes, carrots and onions, veggies cooked to perfection, fish both fried and baked,
mashed and baked taters, Mac and cheese, broccoli casserole and so much more.
On each end of the buffet there is a room each has plates and one has the salad bar and kids bar with hot dogs, burgers with all the fixin’s the other room the desserts and no shortage of choices.
Remember to tip your server without them where would your drinks come from and what would you do with all the dirty dishes you pile up?
Ken is great and although corny, his jokes will make you laugh we always request a table in his section and the rest of the staff thinks we are NUTS! LOL

Should have known when the signs say you have to pay before you can even look at the buffet.

Do not waste your money. The food is not worth the price! Came here for lunch with our children because the sign out front said that kids were half off until 3pm for lunch. We expected that meant half off the normal kids price. Got inside and the «half off» price was half off of the adult price! (I would never entertain the idea of paying $ 16.99 for lunch, for children!) They charged $ 8.49 for kids 3 – 10 and I promise you that my 10 year old and 6 year old did not eat $ 8.49 worth of food each (thankfully our 4 and 2 year old were free because they barely ate anything). We went ahead and paid anyway because we were assured the food was really good. However, it was average at best. My kids wouldn’t eat the macaroni and cheese because it was so «squishy» (mushy)… kids not eating macaroni and cheese? Our 2 year old wouldn’t even eat it. We have eaten many places and my children are not picky eaters at all. They enjoy many different types of food beyond what the average child will entertain eating, but they didn’t like anything but the ice cream here. We all agreed that everything just tasted and felt old.
As a family of 6 looking for somewhere good to eat, that was fair priced and that tasted good, we wanted to let other families know how extremely disappointed we were. Please do not waste your money here.

I started freaking out when my big sister chose this place for our party of 6 to eat. I carefully read the reviews and most were pretty bad. I ate here anyway and was pleasantly surprised. There are many different food buffet options, all grouped separately. I tried the fried okra (so good), catfish, fried chicken, collard greens, black Eyed peas, coleslaw, sweet potatoes, and then I had the nerve to top it all off with a fresh garden salad and sweet tea. The soft serve ice cream was delicious too. I enjoyed myself here. Bill was just over $ 100. Kids 10 and under ½ off.

Food poisoning !!! My 11 year old son threw up all night !!!
Service was great but the place is disgusting had to grab at least 5 plates before I got a clean one. Bathrooms are nasty. Food is ok but nothing great… And make sure you bring cash because they will only except cash tips which screws over the servers !!
Servers only make 2.13 an hour it’s bull…

Nope. Just avoid this place. The food was so gross. Lots of things were cold or unappetizing to look at. They have a sign that says not to forget to tip your server, these signs are all over. That’s sad that they even have to say it. They also have a sign saying not to waste food, which I agree with, but it’s still weird to post. After trying their food, I saw why people left food on their plates. Yuck. Our server was Elena and she was friendly and great. She was the only plus about this place.

Came in this place to eat tonight… Being an off night is one thing but I didn’t see anything edible on the whole buffet. 16.99 is a little steep considering the steak looked like jerky. We just got a refund and left

I’m not sure why this place got such bad reviews but my husband and I found it to be fantastic! We came for breakfast and the variety was wonderful. Everything from fresh donuts and muffins to fresh fruit and all you can eat seriously delicious bacon! They also have an omelette station with a great variety. The staff is also wonderful — lots of southern hospitality here. No joke, some of the nicest hostess/​wait staff I’ve ever met. The décor feels like you’re in a huge family cabin. I definitely recommend giving this place a try! (Tip: the coupon books that you can find all over town, especially at the local hotels, have several coupons for this place!)

First meal of vacation and we came to a place that did not have very good Unilocal reviews. We took a chance and that chance paid off! (Let me start by saying they have new management staff and kitchen manager so the reviews before late 2014 don’t really count now) Holy cow best breakfast Buffett I have ever been to! All you can eat bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, pancakes, fruit, omelet bar, French toast and more. The food was fabulous too! Very very very friendly staff and very clean restaurant. If you are in the area and are wanting good breakfast with a variety for everyone this is the place to go! (Also look for a coupon in the coupon book at your hotel)

It’s a step above golden corral or old country buffet and it has a large and diverse selection of food. Italian, mexican, fried chicken, burgers, hotdogs, wings, ham, bbq, chinese, various sides, rolls, full salad bar, and a dessert room. Nothing I had was particularly amazing, but nothing was bad either. The wings are surprisingly spicy (which I liked). The service is friendly and the prices are decent. Not a bad option, especially if you are looking for variety.
