Always great food. I had the Turben(turkey Ruben). It was tasty and had lots of shaved turkey!

Best wings in town! Very fresh tasting and large, unlike some other places who use frozen wings. I always have such a hard time choosing what to get because everything is so good here. The Staff is always friendly and attentive. Love the pub atmosphere too. All around great place to grab a bite and drink.

Dugans is a good, casual place for lunch or dinner to get the Pinehurst experience at a very good price. I have been here multiple times on golf trips with friends and they are always accommodating even when we have large groups, and the restaurant is larger than it appears. The menu has plenty of choices ranging from your typical Irish Pub fare to what you would expect from any american sports bar all of which is very reasonably priced. Dugans also stays open later than a lot of places in the village so you can enjoy a few drinks at the bar with friends later on into the night.

Awesome establishment! One of a kind atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is delicious for very reasonable prices. Their chicken sandwiches in particular are incredible, and enormous!

Cute little place, but mid Sunday afternoon, Barbara seemed bothered that we were there and clearly were taking up her time. Drinks and appetizers were good. Just felt rushed.

This place was very good! Friendly helpful staff. The wings were very flavorful. I don’t like fish but the other 3 I was with did and they all said it was very authentic. Stacie was our waiter and he did very well!

Easily the best place in the Village for a good beer, relaxed surrounding, and a burger. The bar staff is amazing. The service is great. And as a woman, I always feel safe here even when out having drinks with girlfriends at night. Can’t think of a better compliment for a bar than that! Other than reasonable priced beer…

Decent for Pinehurst. Not a true Irish pub, but then those are hard to find almost everywhere. The menu also includes non-traditional fare, like curried dishes? This is really more of a place to grab a beer and a decent burger. Watch out for some of the beers — in this area the locals like more of the typical american beers on tap — Bud, Coors, etc. Several times I had had a guiness with bad results…

I have lived in the Pinehurst area for 8 years and have managed to miss this hidden gem in the Sandhills. Quite simply the best food, regardless of price, best service. I was amazed by the taste and quality. And even more surprised when I received my check. An instant favorite and date night spot. I strongly recommend the pub soup and mushrooms as starters. The blackened ribeye is best I have ever had. Could cut it with a fork. The beer battered fish, Atlantic cod, was moist flaky and delicious.

Dugan’s Pub is a small restaurant, but don’t let the size fool you. Their food is great and comes in great quantities. This place is like your average restaurant, but the chicken made this place special. Price is fair and is the only place open on a Sunday afternoon. They had great and friendly team of waiters/waitresses. This is a great place of your feeling the mood for Irish food.

It’s what a pub should be. Small, dim and loud. Delicious fish and chips. I’d definitely go back for seconds. Fun place to bring friends and family. Service was great, prompt and courteous.

We love to try out the local Irish Pubs when traveling. Dugans did not disappoint. The homemade chips were delicious. The service was excellent. This place fills up fast, so get there early for the best seat choices.

Reason for visit: date night After having dinner and a few drinks somewhere else, we decided to finish the night here. It’s always entertaining at Dougans. The food is pretty good, I love the fish and chips. We came here for a little bit of a nightlife and a final beer two before we went home. Upstairs very quiet at night but downstairs where the activity is. It’s very unique to Pinehurst if you want a little bit more of a up-tempo crowd. One of the things you will notice about this place is the crowd downstairs. There is a mix of traveling golfers, and locals. If you are looking for golfers, or you’re looking to hang out with your friends this is the place to go. We like to come here every once a while to people watch and have a few beers with the friendly staff. If you are in Pinehurst and are looking for a little bit louder music, a place where locals come for a beer and have fun, this is it. You won’t go wrong. Make sure you say hello to the nice bartenders downstairs they work hard and they could use the tips.

Only place open on the Sunday afternoon we were there that we would have even entered. Service was nice, back room away from bar was pleasant and quiet. Food was plentiful servings and fare prices. Family of 4 ate for under $ 50. Banger Sandwiches were a hit. Volcano chocolate cake w/scoop of ice cream was ”icing on the cake” SaleebScore: service: 9/10, food: 8/10, Value 9⁄10. Not too shabby for a bar.

Dugans Pub has three distinct areas(which is unusual to see). There is the main bar area that features hi-top tables, a traditional dinning room in the back, and also a downstairs/basement area that has another bar with frequent live music on the weekends. So, no matter what your style, Dugans has a «room» to meet your needs. I visited on a Friday evening and also Saturday afternoon. Friday evening I ventured downstairs to the bar/music area. There was a local band performing modern alternative rock type music… and a few classics thrown in as well. Drinks were reasonably priced given the upscale nature of Pinehurst(3 draft beers for $ 16). The music was cranked up pretty loud, and so you had to almost scream to the person next to you. However, this is pretty normal in this type of setting. The upstairs area would have been a little more quiet on this evening. The next day(Saturday) I stopped in for lunch. The Spicy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was fantastic. Very large, hanging over the sides of the bun… and well coated in hot-wing sauce. The hand-cut potato chips were excellent as well. At $ 12(including drink) this was a pretty decent value. They were incredibly busy when I visited, and so service suffered a little(and the main reason for the 4-star rating)…but I would not hesitate to return in the future. Nice little place overall!

Whether or not this place is legendary or not, they served a helluva chicken sandwich and had a nice beer selection to wash it down. Perhaps an expert opinion is more valuable than a one-timer like mine. The shuttle bus driver said«Dugans» when asked which of the dozen pubs in the area was best. Enough said. I will return the next time I’m in Pinehurst.

We strolled in on a Sunday Afternoon to this quaint Irish Pub. You have the bar in the front and the dining room in the back. The food was good, I had a Cajun Chicken Sandwich. It was excellent and was the way I liked it. No one else complained about the food in our group of 4. They all said the food was good. Our server was on the spot and very attentive to our needs. She had a smile and a very nice personality. It was a little over priced, but you are in Pinehurst. Overall I would come back and have another meal again.
