This was the second time we came to Poppa T’s to celebrate a birthday. Last August it was my husband’s and this time is was mine. Nicole was delightful from the time all four of us sat down. She kept our drinks filled and made spot on recommendations on the food. We had the Voodoo Rolls and Fried Green Tomatoes to start. Then we moved on to the 5 lbs Crawfish special. The crawfish were a respectable size and cooked perfectly. We even got to meet the Chef who was also a fun addition to the food. Next was the Seafood Platter. Being from the Gulf Coast, frog legs are not usually included on our Seafood Platters; but these were big and tender and juicy. Poppa T’s has become our Go To place when we are in the Alexandria area. Fantastic food, Delightful Service and great music on the weekends. We LOVE IT!

The staff is most excellent. Restaurant is very very clean. I ordered the at two Faye (spelled wrong) which was very good and they brought these dinner rolls swear to God these dinner rolls were to die for they are the best dinner rolls I’ve ever had will come back just for the dinner rolls and the beer was very reasonably priced

Used to eat here all the time for lunch then changed owners. Wasn’t to excited about the food but I guess it was to new.
The family and I tried it again recently and it was wonderful. My husband ordered the seafood platter and I have to say they had the BEST fried oysters I have ever eaten. My daughter said the boiled crawfish was very good. They have amazing salads as well.

we came to town and had dinner once again there. Never disappoints Lizzie the bartender is adorable bless her heart she broke her finger is having surgery keeping her in your thoughts
I had the chicken fried steak sandwich and a side of gravy in the onion strings my husband had french fries and papa tease beef Po boy generous portions of steak on a toasted bun with mayo, Swiss cheese, grilled onion pepper mushrooms and mild banana pepper rings

Been here twice now. Food isn’t anything special, just your standard deep fried junk.
Second time I went here the waitress dumped an entire tray of drinks on me. Ruined my shoes which happened to be brand new. All they offered was to comp my $ 10 meal. For a party of six people they should’ve comped the entire table. Won’t be coming back to this dump ever again.

The correct # 318−445−0082! Service has been slow the 2 times we have been there! They were very busy the first visit but slow the second visit! So we took that as being their norm! Tried to call in an order! Rang 16 times, finally someone answered and asked me to hold and laid phone down and never picked it back up! Stayed on phone over 5 minutes! Hung up and tried to call back every few minutes after that and # still busy! THIRD strike n you are out! Obviously don’t need my business!

New Orleans-Style? NOT. Popcorn crawfish po-boy… Nothing but bread. Gross. 2 of the 5 orders were wrong. The couple pieces of crawfish that were buried under lettuce, tomato and pickles were so small, you’d need a magnifying glass to find it. Good fries though… I’ll give a star for that.
