Had my 9 yr old sons birthday party there on there last month. The service they provided was HORRIBLE … I have opted for a 1 hour bowling session + birthday party in a party room. Typically in packaged birthday parties, there will be at least 1 or 2 organizer/coordinator who stays with you while the party on and ensure all the supplies are runs smoothly. Here there was no dedicated person for our party and the end result is after the bowling session we went to the party room and and no one was there. Some had left some pizzas and there was no water to drink !!! The Pizza’s were cold and weren’t enough for the kids and we had to run around to the pantry searching for someone to serve us water and the other supplies. Talk about pre planned birthday party which you booked a week in advance and getting such horrible service. I should hv caught the clue when i called their office to book. Whom ever picked the phone dint showed any interest in answering to my questions and all they told me was to book online and hung up… I ignored and went in with them and suffered.

Was here recently with my family for a kid’s birthday party. It was our very first time bowling as a famly so naturally I was a little worried that my daughters(2 and 3 years old) would not be very interested in it, loose interest, get cranky, etc. Upon our arrival, getting settled was very easy. They had several lanes set aside for the kiddies, complete with gutter rails and ramps. They had bowling shoes in their size readily available. And their names were already inputted into the scoring system. Everything was ready to go. Suprisingly my kids got really into it. So much so that they had a hard time waiting for their turns. Thankfully, they had fun playing in the arcade while waiting. The party room we were moved to once bowling was over was nice and roomy. Overall, a fun time.

Average bowling alley. Nothing special. They did have a per hour fare but you still have to pay for shoes. You’re still looking at at least $ 40 bucks IF you happen to get the hourly 30 dollar rate. Got the job done but probably would try somewhere else next time.

This place overall has a decent atmosphere. When it gets really crowded, I see a potential problem with seating as they are very closer with adjacent lanes and not enough seats per lanes too. Luckily I ended up on a day where there wasn’t much crowd. Points which knocked out 2 stars * Food isn’t that great * $ 6 per game and $ 4 for shoes is bit pricey. Hunt for coupons or go for hourly package, which is $ 40 and shoes $ 4 per individual. The hourly package covers up to 6 people. * Not much of balls to select from, especially the light weight one’s. We barely managed to get one of that kind when the alley was only 40% occupied. So it would be even worse when the place is crowded 3 stars for * very polite and courteous staff. * Music wasn’t too loud to distract * the scoring console wasn’t boring. Something to notice if you take kids along * lanes are well maintained.

I used a LocalFlavor deal this week and went to Stelton Lanes with kids for the first time ever. We went on a weekday afternoon, and the place was empty, so we had it to ourselves! The staff was friendly and the kids had fun. There was no music, but again, the place was empty, and we didn’t ask. The bathrooms were clean, the carpeting and common areas were tidy and there was no smokey odor in the place. The rates were very reasonable with an online deal, and we’d like to return! A few of our pins did tip over, resulting in some scoring errors, but maybe that’s par for the course?

Nice place, little old but guess bowling alley’s don’t make much these days to update. Couple of groups of teenagers being loud and abnoxious. We promptly left after our 2nd game. The Unilocal deal is worth it, do it! Unlimited games after 9 or 10 I think, just ask. Will try them again.

Very reasonable price and location is very convenient for us. Nothing fancy. I would recommend upgrading the look, it looks like 80s, other than that pretty decent.

After our experience I called the manager & was pleasantly surprised how he handled the situation. Lesson learned — one bad employee can ruin a reputation of a business — but I am updating my review to note that management truly listened and resolved the problem.

3.5 stars for our favorite local alley. It can get rowdy with youngsters fri and sat nights. There’s been fights and cops here before as well. Nonetheless, many families play here and the staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable and we always have fun here. Cons — uneven lanes, pins tipping over, old balls

Cool place to hangout with friends, have beer and bowl but kind of gloomy inside, hope there’s a better pool table.

Great no frills bowling alley in NJ. You may feel like you are Marty McFly and you have time travelled back to the 80s but don’t let the décor fool you. This bowling alley is perfect for some weekend family fun. They have a limited assortment of ball sized but the place is pretty clean and the shoes don’t look like they were donated by people that walk hundreds of miles a day! Great spot and I recommend checking the help check in or offer for a good deal(we got $ 20 for $ 10 of fun).

I came here with the gf on Superbowl Sunday during the superbowl… for Superbowling. Get it? I love puns. We bowled 1 game for 10 bucks a piece. I thought that seemed pricey. I still had a great time, despite being a terrible bowler. It was also nice that the alley didn’t reek of smoke… which is how I remember most bowling alleys back home in Pennsylvania. They seem to have better deals… college night is on Tuesday I believe. Next time, I’ll make sure to return on Tuesday.

The experience of bowling itself is almost always worth the visit-I had a great time. You get what you would expect-a lane, bowling shoes, and bowling balls. The woman at the register didn’t go out of her way to seem pleasant, but that’s ok, I’m not terribly offended. I’ve been here twice now, and on both occasions the bar was without a tender, which is a bit of a bummer. They advertise deals for cheaper rentals/games so I’d recommend giving them a call or checking their website before you decide what day you’re going to head down. In general, it’s good to call bowling alleys to make sure they have open lanes(with tournaments and such). This alley seems to be less busy than Caroliner Lanes/the one in New Brunswick(they always have a tournament when I want to go) so that’s why I end up here.

Not a bad set of lanes. It’s a small house. PARKING is decent. It’s a good option next to Brunswick Zone

Great for a rainy Friday night with the kids. I used a Unilocal deal and a check in deal and it was only $ 20 for two games including shoes for 3 kids! Plus it was empty, only two other families in the whole place! Bumper bowling is available, which keeps the kids from getting gutter balls.

Actually a decent place. This will be my new«go to» bowling alley when I am babysitting. The place is much smaller and less overwhelming than Carolier. Food still sucks — it is a bowling alley after all but the bathrooms are well maintained. One thing that I just didn’t understand– there are no kids rates. When did bowling get so expensive? Two adults a five year old and a three year old $ 60 bucks!

Located in a nice suburban neighborhood. Parking can be a challenge if there is a lot going on as there are some shops and restaurants connected. We have been coming here for 2 months for our sons bowling program. Place is clean, has modern computer scoring and flat screens. Also has computerized bumpers so the kids hit the pins every time while the adults and advance bowlers can have them down on their turn. Staff is friendly and attentive when you need something. Food is what you would expect, but to their credit everything is made to order. Food is not Michelin star, but for what it is, we enjoy it! Makes you feel like a kid again. Only gripe is its a bit over priced. I think you lower it or have some deal with the bowling for families, you would get a lot of families to come. Always a positive experience and recommend to all for a fun time with family and friends.
