I bought two different rolls/sushi to share with my friends. I am 99.9% sure that these sushis were not made today. The rice was super stiff & hard, and they tasted gross. The cucumber was as clear as my green tea, and was soft and even smooth. I have never experienced such a bad quality of sushi in my life. I feel like it is a waste of my time to even leave a review telling how bad their sushis are. VERYVERYDISAPPOINTINGANDWASEVENGROSS.

Call this the faster food version of your standard take out. Be humble, you’re in a college student center

I guess one reason to come here is if you are REALLY craving Chinese food but do not want to order. I strongly recommend to ORDER. This place is pretty awful; the food sucks and it is overpriced. There were so many things wrong with my lo mein, I can’t even begin. Watery, tasteless, over cooked noodles, way too salty and much more. But what can you expect from the Busch Campus Center dining options. Just go get Gerlanda’s pizza instead or do yourself a favor and order some proper Chinese food.

The fast food version of Chinese takeout is how I would sum up Szechwan Express in one phrase. I used to come here when I was younger(freshman and sophomore year of college) because it is conveniently located in the food court of the busch campus center. After a while, there are only a few options: Moe’s, Burger King, Pizza, Sandwiches, and Chinese for you to choose. Chinese is simple and allows you to choose a noodle or rice and two sides. It’s never boring with a plateful of savory carbs, meats, and/or veggies! And you can change it up from time to time, but the quality is obviously not all that great since it’s so cheap and fast! For a quick fix, this is not a bad choice. The staff member are also very warm and friendly.

I’ve tried this restaurant on campus many times, and usually end up disappointed. The takeout is usually fairly flavorless, and I barely end up eating it. The only reason I come here is because it is close to my classes, the line is short, and the price is fair. I just went back yesterday to get a quick bite, and the quality seems to have gotten better from the last time I came here. When you pick your entrees, try choosing something with a lot of sauce so that there is some flavoring in your food. Or if you can get yourself to Livingston, just get your Chinese food from there since it is significantly better tasting.

I gave this place a try when I was at the Busch campus center for a training. the food looked pretty good so I figured why not. The portion sizes are generous, if your hungry a bowl should fill you up. I found the people there to be nether friendly or unfriendly. More rushed as the lunch crowd came in. I don’t really count this against them. the food however was disappointing. I ordered the kung pow chicken and seseme chicken. the kung pow Chicken didn’t really have a taste besides a little black pepper and a lot of salt. the seseme chicken did taste better, but it was pretty chewy. I feel like it could have been cooked longer. the noodles also lacked flavor they were kinda just there on the plate. overall I wasn’t impressed and slightly regretted ordering from there.

the Americhin style Chinese food is so-so… seafood raman is pretty good for $ 7.50. they have those yummy Japanese style rice cakes, I like the green tea one. they also have bubble tea, although I found the one I tried to be too sweet for my taste. But given the limited options in the Rutgers Busch Campus Center where this is located, this is a pretty good option especially given the price point, so if you are a student or work here this is an OK choice. Staff are quite friendly.
