Visit Scottys at least one time per year. Large bar right on Price st. Staff is always very helpful. The food is surprisingly good for tavern food. In spite of its name bar & grill they have a great kids menu and always make the little ones feel welcome. We visit as a family typically but would like to try it with friends or my wife only and get the vibe then. Good stop hands down.

Pretty nice bar. Décor is a little dated but good food at a good price for Pismo. The burgers are pretty big and always cooked to perfection. I have gotten a few different dishes and haven’t been disappointed yet.

Nice sports bar with plenty of tables. There are 5 Flatscreens, 2 behind the bar. Bar was attractive with 10 seats I tried the lunch special pastrami sandwich with Onion rings. Meat was ok, it needed to be more tender. Clam chowder was good. Restroom are clean with older décor but it was nice that seat covers available. Staff was friendly and service was attentive.

Was welcomed as we walked in and it had a very warm feeling to the place! I had the Prime Rib Melt which was awesome and my girlfriend had the half rack of ribs which was massive, lucky she didn’t get the full rack! It was definitely great value, and we cant wait to go back tonight as the Mexican food on other tables looked amazing!

We were looking for a casual place for dinner, and Scotty’s did the trick! We arrived and the restaurant/bar was not that full, and the food looked good. So we found a seat, and settled in. Linda(who was great) came over and suggested to start with Steamers(which were fantastic, and came with this great garlic/cheese bread — also using the broth for dunking the bread!). We ordered two«Makers Mark Manhattans» which came out in a smallish ball jar, a metal bar strainer, and a smaller rocks glass with ice. Fantastic, and excellent presentation! For dinner, we had the Top Sirloin(8 oz — cooked perfectly), fries. And my wife had the cobb salad, which was huge. Great place to relax, and not have to battle the holiday crowds.

Delicious country fried steak for breakfasts and mimosas/bloody Mary’s. Chance is the best waiter.

First place we stopped at when we arrived to Pismo. Linda was amazing very friendly and had great service! Nachos and wings were really good. Needs more beers on tap but will get the job done. Local bar with a friendly atmosphere.

This place is a dump. Wish I could say something positive, but I can’t. Maybe next time, if there is one.

The service was good, the beer was cold, the fish tacos are kick ass, and the wings were over cooked, hot sauce covered, dried out pieces of what looked like chicken. Sorry dude, you shouldn’t bake the wings the night before then deep fry them quick to serve! They sucked! I would recommend the fish tacos and would go back for that!

They really need to improve their food. Breakfast is below average… it’s awesome that they have a full bar. I ate dinner there yeaterday and had the fish tacos. They were great except I was still starving. So I ordered the onion rings. They need to replace those all together… they are terrible. Check out local Firestone in SLO for great onion rings. PLEASECHANGETHOSEOUTWITHYOURFOODSUPPLIER Service was good. .except when my husband order the turket burger .just bring the condiments… mayo/mustard without us having to go get them.

Scotty’s is a secret gem in the Pismo Beach area. Everything deserved 5 stars, except the gravy. It was good, better than many places, but I am a bit of a gravy snob. So a took away a half of a star.(Too bad I can’t really do that!). The absolute best thing about Scotty’s was our server, Chance. He was attentive, efficient, and polite. This place was just a short distance from the downtown pier area, but had none of the crowds of the other places.

Great Dive bar in Downtown Pismo. The offer traditional bar fare, strong cocktails. If you like high ABV beer look elsewhere. On the day I went the highest in tap was a 5.6 by Firestone. It was good mind you but I’m a bit of a beer snob. The crowd was lively and welcoming as was the staff. The televisions are high quality of the HD variety. My one star downgrade was due to the beer offerings.

This place is fabulous! Great food, service, and menu prices. I highly recommend the buffalo wings for an appetizer. Their sauce is unique with a little bit of kick to it. We came here for the wings, and they lived up to our expectations. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. We ordered the fish tacos and Cajun shrimp tacos. They do not come with a side, but with the amount of food they gave us, we probably could not have ate additional food such as fries or a salad. We will absolutely come back to Scotty’s the next time we are in Pismo!

The service here was phenomenal. My friend and I felt like princesses. We came to watch March Madness and it was not super crowded so the bartender just gave us the remote after we asked him to keep putting on different games. My Cobb salad came out quickly and was tasty — and my friend loved her wahoo tacos. The bartender said a few people complained that the shock top I ordered tasted like it was at the end of the keg and flat– so he took it off of my tab. He was super nice, and the whole environment was very laid back. Great spot to grab some beers and grub and watch the game !

Went to Scotty’s for the first time on St. Patrick’s Day. I tried to sit by the window, to have a view, and the windows were covered with little nats*. pretty nasty! Then I ordered the Corned beef and cabbage special. The dinner was so unflavored. I used practically the whole salt shaker and Cholula just so I can get through this dinner. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. The only good thing was that the waitress was very nice.

I stand by my last review. Come here to drink in a friendly, non pick-up place but eat elsewhere! These people do not know how to cook. Potato skins… boo. They must have been cooked last week. The potato part was in-edible. Chicken tenders… frozen crap.

Giant breakfasts all under $ 10. The hash browns were crispy on the outside but mushy on the inside. The staff was friendly and took care of us, earning them an extra star! Bloody Mary’s for $ 3 with entrée purchase. 5 tv’s for watching Sunday morning football but most of them aren’t very big. We were staying in Avila Beach and couldn’t find a place to watch Sunday morning football so we headed over here. I wasn’t thrilled with their chicken fried steak but I don’t usually order chicken fried steak… It sounded good that morning for some reason. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their giant breakfasts though. The breakfast burritos were massive and looked like a good hangover cure.

Reading Unilocal reviews we decided to come in for some tri-tip nachos and fish n chips. The bartender waitress was friendly and helpful. We ended up playing a massive game of musical tables trying to find one that didn’t blind us with glare. The sun was reflecting off of cars parked outside and off the Ginourmous mirror on the back wall. Finally we settled in and ordered. The water tasted like dirt. I know the drought is wreaking havok. But still, eew. The food arrived in a timely manner. At this point I feel a lil sorry for the cook if this is how he’s been instructed to serve these dishes. The fish is presented on a bed of lettuce. Lettuce is wet by nature and proceeded to make the fish soggy. The piece he saved tasted pretty good. Too bad the rest was a lil soggy. My nachos where very good and actually enough to feed 2 hungry people. Ample toppings and served nice and warm. My big issue with them was all of the black beans were on the bottom of the heap. They made all of the chips underneath nasty soggy. I ended up leaving about ½ the chips uneaten because of this. It was also too bad because I liked the beans and would have enjoyed them on top. At this time it’s unclear if we will be back in. If so, it would be on an overcast day or after dark. The glare was nasty! The staff where friendly and accommodating.

In town to visit my dad so we decided to have lunch in Pismo Beach @ Scotty’s Bar and Grill for a bite of lunch with my brother. As you walk in Scotty’s I noticed they have a really long bar. I got the feeling this was a place was a before dinner drinks. … I ordered the fish and chips(fries) with a side of ranch to dip. I really like my meal… the fish was flacky, nicely coated. My brother orderd the rib eye steak with a salade and potatoes. He said they made it just like he requested it. The service was okay once we got our waitress… which took a minute… Nothing really great to say… but I got the impression they are more known for their drinks… And i don’t drink. With so many different resturants to try in Pismo… I think next week we will try the Cracked Crab across the street.
