I was devastated(ok, maybe too strong an emotion) when I thought the Water Ice Station had gone out of business. Turns out they had relocated and somehow I had missed their move. Took me a year to figure this out and I missed a whole season of eating the best water ice I have ever had. So much better than the national chains. It is almost liking having a frozen version of your selected fruit. Truly great stuff. I go there at least once a week. Their lemon water ice is my all time favorite.

Man, when I lived in Pitman, I would hike over to the Water Ice Station from my apartment and tear up on some water ice. I started going there right around the time Rita’s became popular and I remember thinking how much better this place is than Rita’s. The Water Ice Station’s water ice is more authentically fruity. At that time, the water ice actually had pieces of fruit in it(don’t know if they still make it like that now though.) I loved it. Obviously they have custard and other frozen treats as well. Downside to the place is two-fold. One is no seating. Two is virtually no parking. Parking is a problem all over Pitman. The street this is on is very narrow and there’s only a precious few spots. You’re better off parking a block away and strolling through historic Pitman on your way to get your water ice.
