Antimite Termite & Pest Control

Terrible service. Do not show up. Still charge you and then say they showed up. I was home. Hello. I wasn’t sleeping

Antimite bought my pest control company a couple of years ago. After having such great service from the former mom & pop sized pest control company I was leery of dealing with a big company like Antimite. I decided to give them a fair shot before passing judgement, but can honestly say my initial instinct was right on. Right off the bat they stopped doing things I had paid McCauley Brothers extra for, and switched from six visits a year to four. They did not lower the price one penny! The office staff used to be really helpful, but now appear to be out of f*cks to give. The technician barely sprays the house, and doesn’t clear the cob webs like they used to. And as for the re-​treats that my contract says I am entitled to… they don’t exist. I was told my contract is void, an re-​treats are billable. It’s really too bad to see them go downhill, they are all competent people, or least they used to be.
To make a bad situation worse, Antimite (now lovingly known as Amittyville around our home) was just bought out by Service Master (Terminix). Time to find a new pest control company.

When our local pest control company was bought out by Antimite, we got worried. We’d had a poor experience with Antimite in the past. Low and behold, things haven’t changed. They reduced the services we had been given for the price we had been paying. I emailed their general email address to cancel and got no response. When I resent it, they actually said they normally don’t respond to emails sent to them… wow. At least they’re honest. Their response to my cancellation request? ‘Your account is cancelled, typically we don’t respond to emails thru the general mail box. I have however cancelled your account.” That was it. No question about why we cancelled or effort to keep us as customers. Typical large company taking over a small one and then providing inadequate service. We will now find another local small pest control business or do the pest control ourselves.
