We used to live around the corner from this place & probably ordered from them at least once a week. I recently was craving some of their specialty pizzas & placed an order on line. After I received email confirmations that the order would be ready in about 30 minutes, I called the location directly just to double check. They said they got it & I advised my husband would be picking it up. Ok, no problem. I received a text from my husband at 5:21, 4 minutes before the order was supposed to be ready,(according to the confirmation email), stating that he was there & was told they didn’t receive the order until he asked for it & would start working on it ASAP. Apparently the cashier couldn’t find the order, checked in the back & said they were just going to start on it & that it wouldn’t take long. Not to be particular, I thought I would call to ask what happened & if they could at least comp the beer my husband ordered while he was waiting for the inconvenience. I spoke courteously to the Manager, Marcos, who proceeded to rudely argue w/me about the details about what happened. Yelling at me, he said that when I called all I did was ask if they got the order & that I told them my husband would be picking it up. I said, yes, that’s exactly right. So, I’m not sure what happened b/c of what the cashier told my husband when he arrived. He yelled something about the confirmation email, how long it takes to make the pizza & that he had closed out the ticket or something & that’s why she didn’t see it. How my husband walked in 15 minutes after the order was placed(which I doubt) & how he personally handed him the pizza 5 minutes later. He was going off & told him that there was no need to be so rude. I was simply relaying the info that I had & regardless of what happened(& especially after him treating me that way when I was being kind to him), it was still an inconvenience & I didn’t think a $ 5 beer was too much to ask for. According to my husband, soon after he ordered his beer, another employee was nice enough to ask if he wanted them to keep the pizzas warm until he finished his beer. He said yes & not long after that, Marcos threw the pizzas in his face. I have no idea what happened on their side & I wasn’t trying to be rude at all, but I have worked in customer service for years & of all people, the managers should be on top of their customer service skills. The weird & even creepy part that I didn’t even bring up & I kind of wish I had, was that when I 1st called to say that my husband would be picking it up & Marcos knew his name, w/o me telling him or having put it anywhere in the on line order. Maybe it was already in the system, even though we haven’t ordered from them in over a year,(& I don’t think I ever ordered in my name or with my card), or maybe this guy knew us some way some how & had a personal vendetta against us. Regardless, he treated us terribly & we won’t be ordering from here again.

I used to order the pizza lunch special from another location so I was hoping for the same quality here but it was lacking. The staff was super friendly, the location was clean and service was great but the pizza was burnt and the quality was not as expected. I’ve had better pizza at more reasonable prices. I might go with a group but it would’ve a while till I go again

I have been to Pepz a number of times for Pizza, which is generally good. I ordered a party tray of capellini pasta and was very disappointed. The pasta was so mushy and very overcooked. It was also far too oily. It stated it came with parmesan and I was envisioning fresh grated for the money spent. It was the little packets of parmesan that come on the side instead. The bread that comes with party trays was reminiscent of old little Caesar’s crazy bread that was hard, stale, and also overcooked. I won’t be doing party trays with them again. What a waste of money.

One of the best pizzas I’ve had. Their pizzas rival big name pizza companies such as pizza hut and domino’s. And its also a great place to hang out. They have arcade games, a bar, and big screen TVs to watch any sporting events. A great place to take kids and sports teams! I would definitely recommend this place. Did I mention they deliver too! I wish it was a little less pricey. I guess you get what you pay for

Decent flavor, would have been an excellent pizza if it actually was cooked all the way through and not totally soggy in the middle. They said it would take a half hour it was closer to 50 minutes you think they would have had time to finish off making it before they brought it to me. The chicken wings were burned to a crisp. The Diet Coke that I ordered tasted like a blend of several different sodas and was totally flat and undrinkable What piss me off the most was spending 40 bucks on this catastrophe and I tipped the guy 20%, yes I paid him with quarters because it’s all I had, but money I’ll spend the same he turned his nose up at Me turned around and walked away No thank you nothing. Won’t be ordering from them again

Typically enjoy going there, but tonight the pizza was boring, bland, and minimal cheese(toppings falling off because nothing to hold them on). Kids running around totally unmonitored, screaming, horse playing etc., while the parents just sat there drinking their wine… totally oblivious. You could tell others were bothered… was truly rediculous. Management should have stepped in. Also, slight sewer smell in the back… nasty! Just decided to leave. probably won’t be back for some time.

The house special is the best pizza they have. If you love a good all meats and some veggies pizza, this is your place. I always have the beer battered shrimp and they are perfectly fried every time, even when ordering delivery. They do a lot of community outreach which is nice to see in Placentia. Their delivery drivers are fast and super friendly. I suggest getting the delivery menu for home! Also, the wings are amazing love the honey garlic sauce and the sweet chili. This is a must go!

They are overpriced and every time I go there I wonder why I went again. Their salads consist of mostly just lettuce. I usually love antipasto salads but not when it consists of just lettuce a slice of tomato and a couple pieces of meat for $ 10. Their Garden salad is iceberg lettuce with croutons. Being that its a pizza place, there should be plenty of veggies to throw on their salads. Their Calzones are pretty good snd pizza just ok. Spaghetti and Meatballs were awful! My 2 year old wouldn’t touch it. After I tasted it I could see why. The meatballs were good but the sauce was just gross. Also, I requested mushrooms be added, paid extra for them, and got home to find there were none.

Love Pepz! I work nearby so I frequent this establishment for lunch and sometimes dinner. Their lunch specials are a great value! Marcos and Shant are great, friendly employees. I love the calzone and all of the different options for toppings are amazing! I am also a big fan of their salads. The green salad, even the personal size, is so filling and always crisp and fresh. The pastrami sandwich is delicious! The establishment is also very nicely decorated with pictures and awards showing the community’s appreciation for Pepz and the appreciation for the community from Pepz. There is a small arcade-type area and a nice bar. The staff is always attentive and do a great job of keeping the establishment clean. I will definitely be coming back!

Pepz pizza is bomb! Not only do they have good pizza, but they also have great chicken strips and salads, and yummy ranch! They sometimes even have Soujok on their menu. It’s a delicious Armenian dish. If you haven’t tried Pepz, you definitely should. The owner is so nice and amazing as well!

Long day at work– asked my wife to order pizza. Delivery guy shows up with 2 large pizzas and 1 large salad. $ 59 bill + tip= $ 65!!! Average pizza and outrageous prices… Pepz, enjoy my money because you’re not getting it ever again.

Was surprised that my order was 20 minutes early! …Probably because my pizza arrived at par-bake… I had to finish baking it in my own oven at home. I’ll give it to them that it might have been because I ordered the gluten free dough(yeah, not ideal… But neither is having a sick body) and it’s not a commonly ordered item or something… But I would think that one would be able to determine that the pizza wasn’t ready yet if it couldn’t even be moved(out of the oven) or picked up without struggle… My boyfriend didn’t like his bread sticks either. He said they had a sweetness to them and were lacking in the garlic and Parmesan. I do however, have to credit them for having an interesting menu and gluten free options. Just wish the quality was worth it. If you’re in this area and don’t have dietary restrictions, I’d recommend Little Tony’s of Italy.

After honoring the redemption of my $ 50 credit, Shant the owner, honored his promise by giving us full credit on a new mouth watering fluffy crusted sausage pizza and a unburnt gluten free spinach & artichoke pizza, with hot wings. It lives up to the PEPZ name and after a second a chance, I give it 5 stars! Unbelievably TERRIBLE… AWFUL!!! Decided on paying the price for Pepz cause I wanted good quality pizza. I wanted soft airy crust with nice melted cheese and mouth watering juicy sausage. Instead I got a hard cheese, dried out sausage, paper thin and cardboard pizza and also a burnt crunchy hard gluten free specialty pizza for $ 50. Should have went to Little Caesars or VALENTINOS for $ 5. Flustered Manager first offered me a new order if I came and got it but after declining he gave me a credit for next time but thats just by mentioning his name… we’ll see if that works. They better prove up to their name on my credit or I will NEVER be back!!! SOUNBELIEVABLYDISAPPOINTED! Pepz deserves 0 stars but since I have to rate, it gets a 1.

The food here is super fresh! Marcos/Mgr. runs a tight ship when it comes to quality assurance. The pizza was on smack because I customized my order for their Peps house special and California Delight for the wifey! The crust reminded me of NYCSTYLE thin slice with a extra thick chunk at the end with freshness! I was super satisfied. –Beer batter SHIRMP was off the charts! The batter on the SHIRMP was surprisingly fresh and not to greasy. It went well with the cocktail sauce and lime wedge. — buffalo wings was on smack! I love the dipping sauces because I compared them to Buffalo Wild Wings and was super surpraise they we way better! The sauces weren’t too thick and didn’t taste like they were manufactured from a factory. I would have Peps buffalo wings over BWW all day! Overall great place for beers, pizza, and family!

I was there yesterday for my daughters team party. The customer service was terrible. The man at the counter was annoyed that I didn’t know the menu and didn’t have any interest in helping me. Later, another man asked me if he could use the table I was sitting at for other customers, effectively asking me to leave even though my kids were still playing air hockey. It was a terrible experience and I’ll never go back.

Review up date to the below owner called and tried to make it right so kudos for trying to fix the below issue: 5 year customer and I’m no longer buying from them. The manager sucks and the owner has no idea he is running customers off. Anytime they make a mistake it the customers fault and I’m done. Pizza is good and customer service will destroy them if not watched.

I’ve seen Pepz all over the OC, but it never seemed appealing to try. After all, how great can a chain really be?! Especially if it’s kind of a lesser known one. Welps, surprisingly Pepz is decently good!!! I wasn’t in the mood for pizza that day, so we opted to try their spaghetti and meatballs, as well as their chicken wings and potato wedges. I thought for sure the latter dish would be better than the former ’cause seriously… even grocery stores can make both those items really well! But surprisingly, the spaghetti and meatballs were the sleeper of the meal. Sure, it came served in one of those circular tin trays, but it’s not about presentation — it’s about taste! The meatballs were large, homemade and juicy… while the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. I was in heaven, devouring this… especially because it came with garlic bread(my favorite!). On the other hand, the chicken wings were mostly made of batter and the potato wedges were dry to the max. Both were extremely greasy and left me feeling sick. Next time, I’d definitely just stick to the spaghetti and meatballs! They have some arcade games here, which is tons of throwback fun for the kid in all of us! The one odd thing is that the drink bar here is super high and hard to reach, so it’s tough to refill your drink if you’re a shorty like me!

I give them 5 stars because of the service and their pizza was worth it! I’m a pizza lover, and I’m very picky how my pizza taste, from the sauce to the dough to the crust and the toppings… The dough was cooked perfectly, and the sauce wasn’t too dry or too wet! The crust wasn’t burnt or hard. Just how I like it! Anyway, they looked closed on the outside but I thought id walk in to see if they were open, and he said they were closed… Sadly we walked out figuring out what else to eat since it was NYE… I had to use the bathroom and thought id ask them to use their bathroom, and when I did that, the guy asked me «are you dining in or taking out?» I instantly said to go! And he took our order right there and then! For a first timer, id definitely go back there!

I ordered online via Unilocal! Thanks, Unilocal! A panini and an order of pizza rolls and ten minutes later I drove over to Pepz. The man in charge processed my payment and said it would be just a few more minutes. Sure enough, a few minutes later I had my food nicely wrapped up and was on my way back home. While I was inside I noticed some arcade games and an air hocket table, several big TVs showing football, and a relatively small crowd for a Sunday night(it’s family night, guys!)… but overall, I would return. My pizza rolls were delicious — though a bit pricey at over seven dollars. My wife said that she really liked her panini — grilled chicken with garlic. Yum! We’ll be sure to try Pepz again — maybe dining in is a cool experience. PS I really dig all the Angels memorabilia they’ve got up in this place — see if you can find the signed SI magazine from the 2002 World Series team!
