I ordered the jalapeño breakfast bagel which was average. My hubby ordered the lox bagel with NO capers or tomato, and of course it came WITH capers and tomato– they need better customer service practices– overall experience… meh.

Second time here. They have tasty, fresh bagels with great ingredients baked onto the bagels. All of the sandwiches, both for breakfast & lunch, are really good.

I ordered the turkey bacon avocado cheese sandwich. It was incredibly generic except for the bacon which was terrible! I was burnt to a crisp and had a charred flavor. They toasted my bagel without asking. I did not want it toasted.

I have been eating bagels from this shop for probably 15 years. I don’t remember when I first stopped in, but it became something I craved. I LOVELOVELOVE their bacon and Swiss bagels, with butter, with cream cheese, with jalapeño cream cheese, with the jalapeño scramble… not sure that is what it is called, but it has jalapeños, sausage and egg on it. Or just plain I like their pizza bagels as well… and I can’t say I have tried the others, but I am sure they are also yummy.

This place should close by noon because that is when they run out of bagels. How can you keep a store open called ‘bagel works’ when there aren’t any bagels left?!

Outstanding Bagels here folks. There is something to be said about a hand Artisan made Bagel and smear. We enjoyed a toasted swiss and bacon bagel with onion n chive home made smear and a jack and green chille toasted bagel with the same smear… Dam! Feast for the taste buds to go! Perfect traveling food and a must for some quick fuel to gear you up for the fun ahead. There are sandwiches offered and less fancy bagels for simpler pallets… This place is a win… modest price for such exceptional quality

Pass thru Placerville twice a month and Bagel Works is a must stop for us every time. There is no B team for service and perfectly lightly toasted as I like it bagel. Owners should be proud of the girls as they are rock stars when it comes to getting them out perfect. Please make sure you leave a tip for them.

Nice bagel shop, decent atmosphere. They have a variety of bagels and spreads to choose from and a full breakfast and lunch menu. I go here only for the bagels. They have a nice assortment. They are pretty consistent, however sometimes the bagels are over toasted and the spread portions inconsistent. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

We love this place for the yummy breakfast bagels. We usually come once/week to get our fix. The girls are really nice, always pleasant and courteous. The reason for my 3 stars… This place constantly has dirty tables and crap all over the floor. Often times we are here and the girls have no customers, they are just standing behind the counter chatting . Can someone in charge please tell them about maintaining the eating area. We’ve probably been here 15 times and not ONE time have we been able to sit at a clean table . C’mon.

The girls that work there a super friendly. The bagels were great and so was the jalapeño cream cheese. I always get a Carmel latte and seriously this one was yummy! We will be back. Ohh they even had bowls of water for our doggies.

This was my first time and I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered the speciality«Full Lox» sandwich on their works bagel and it was delicious. It came with cream cheese, lox, capers, tomatoes, red onion and cucumbers. The bagel had the right amount of crunch on the outside with that soft inside. I will definitely be back.

We were in Placerville on family affairs this last rainy weekend. The first morning we were looking for coffee and baked goods on Main Street and happened across Bagel Works. Went in and there were about 4 people in line. No biggie. There were enough employees and the wait was short. My son ordered a breakfast sandwich, lox with the works while we just got muffins, a latte and a drip coffee. My son called it one of the best sandwiches EVER and my wife called it a very good latte and she’s kinda fussy. The drip coffee and the muffins were better than average. I found the young ladies to be helpful and reasonably cheerful. It was easy to drop a couple of dollars in the jar. My son demanded that we go back the next day. He got a different sandwich. The wife got a sandwich and I got my muffin and drip. Again, the girls were nice. The food came quickly and was well prepared. Should you drive up from an hour a way to go here? No. but if you’re headed up the 50 and it’s time for a snack or coffee, it’s highly recommended.

This place has great breakfast bagels. Me and the family stopped by on our way to Sierra Tahoe for some skiing. I had the bacon Swiss egg sandwich and my wife had the garlic and havarti, Both were excellent, buttery and full of flavor but not over powering. We will definitely stop there again.. I think we will try a sandwich next time as the bread just screams for turkey and avocado. YUM!!!

The bagel varieties are creative and tasty. I am always happy with the quality of my coffee. Its an all around good morning stop and I look forward to coming here when I have business in Placerville. My complaint though is in customer service. I specifically told the young lady making the bagels that I did NOT want sandwich cut on my lightly toasted bagel with cream cheese. In fact I repeated it again at the counter. Several minutes later the girl asks if I had gotten my bagel yet, which was a no. I repeated AGAIN, NOSANDWICHCUT. I should have checked her work. I see in my car after I have drove off… it’s a sandwich cut. Is competent service dead? Do people just not know how to listen?
