This is one of our favorite go to places. Some of our choices are: trip tip sandwich, philly cheese steak, fish & chips. The service is great, food is usually quick to arrive.

We ate here about a year ago and had the fish & chips which left me wishing we’d stuck with that when we visited a second time. The service was great so I left a generous tip, but we won’t be back. For $ 50 bucks I’d rather go to Mel’s & spend less than $ 30 for better. If we’d gotten hammered on the excellent brew before eating our food it might have seemed good & maybe we wouldn’t have noticed the rotten lettuce in the salad. I think the cook got my hot pastrami sandwich confused with a Reuben cuz all it had for dressing was a little smear on one side of spicy mustard. No.cheese. –for $ 12.++… Really? The spicy tri tip sandwich – well it was like a caveman sandwich with the meat slices so thick and tough there was no biting through that. The kid’s menu ribs? My dogs wouldn’t even eat them – yep we had a nice sized $ 50 take home box that they didn’t even like. Just gross. I’ll post the pics for your viewing pleasure. Maybe just go here for the brew – but don’t go hungry.

Terrible service today. Don’t know what happened, but four tables waited on before we said anything. Then we were not told, «Sorry. I will be right there». More like, «I will get to you when I am ready.». We walked. The food is very good but what went on with the service? Is it because we are gay? Because we don’t drink beer? Because they only serve people wearing green? I have no idea? You tell us. Same service problem?

It was a first time for us, and it will be the only visit we make. The staff was friendly and courteous, but the pub fare was mediocre. The beer, nothing spectacular. We would not recommend.

Good beer ok food plus an unknowlegible staff equals ehhhhhhh I wanted to love this place but I sat myself table was sticky place wasn’t too busy but waited longer than I should have for a drink when I asked my waitress about the copper she replied uhhhhhh it’s copper colored fail. I ordered a steak rare came out medium and was fatty as heckling so it’s an ok place that needs a lot to improve on

After gorging myself on fritters, donuts, crumb cake and hard cider all morning on Apple Hill I needed a beer. I have had this place bookmarked forever and finally stopped by. It has a weird vibe and feels more like a warehouse as opposed to a microbrewery but I have proven I will drink beer anywhere. The server brought out samples and I tried the IPA, Strong Blonde and a seasonal Pumpkin Ale. I normally like the IPA’s for their hoppiness, theirs was not. The strong blonde was vey hoppy and the Pumpkin was spiced wonderfully and was very tasty. Ordered the Fish and Chips. The fish is Cod and has a nice, robust Panko breading. Upgraded to the«Company Fries» which came loaded with garlic and herbs. Pretty Awesome. Good beer, good food, good times.

lets start this off with saying what we all know, placerville is a cute town that really doesnt cater to the late night crowd. practically everything we found in and around the area closes down at 9PM. with that said, we ran into a huge amount of luck with placerville brewing company. a nice young lady running the taps allowed my party and i to come in at closing time and order a couple rounds. we didnt know that PBC closed so early so when we all rolled in at 9PM on a saturday night, we were surprised that all the stools had been taken up. SHELBY was the name of the lady pouring us beers and she was very polite, welcoming and accommodating. after that night, i purposely went by last weekend to buy a couple growlers for a camping trip a few friends and i were taking up past pollock pines. we enjoyed the stout so much that we came back drove the 90 minutes round trip the next day for round two and picked up a couple more. with all that said, its one of the best breweries around in my opinion. the strong blond is my go-to but the the stout and vanilla stout are fantastic as well. we drank the stout with ribeyes and all i can say is wow. thanks again shelby, you got 5 new customers who would drive out of their way for PBC.

This is the second visit. The first time I had the Fish and Chips which was very good. This time I had the Chicken Marsala and it was not good… too much marsala wine. Service poor… took 45 minutes to get dinner and there is nobody here. I was not informed that all the baked potatoes were burned until my dinner was brought to me. Not happy.

Fried chicken is the best!!! This is a great place to visit if you’re in Placerville. They have great brew too. My fam really likes the blonde. I also really like their hot wings. Definitely a lot of things to try here.

Okay, I’m bumping it back up to 4 stars… still not 5, but at least not 2 stars anymore. Still one of our favorite places. SERVICE: Exceptional! ‘Our girls’ are still providing the best! Seems the owners have scheduled their staff better to accommodate their guests. CHEESE: What did I see? I’m hoping this actually sticks(and not on the roof of your mouth). ACTUAL Swiss cheese?! Hopefully they keep the real cheese from now on. *fingers crossed* Yes, I’ve updated my review on this place because it’s one of our faves, like I’ve said.

Not great, but also not horrible. Their food is average, and some of their beers are decent. I like that they added the patio out front, that is a plus when the weather is nice. I am hoping that another brewery opens up in town soon, because maybe a little competition is what this place needs!

We have come to really like having food and a beer here. Last night, we came in and had a committee meeting with 6 people. The ladies who took care of us were great. Patty was our server and she knew when to check up on us and was very thoughtful about her timing, without even being asked. Her coworker, a pregnant gal whose name I did not get, was equally thoughtful and I could tell they were keeping an eye on us, but being careful not to intrude on the meeting. That’s not something you get with rookie servers, these gals are obviously seasoned pros, kudos ladies, we can’t wait to have our next meeting there. On a side note, the food is consistently enjoyable(their fish & chips are a favorite) and they have great beer, win-win!

Best burger i’ve had in a long time! ABC burger: avacado, bacon and cheddar. Bun was toasted crisp, bacon was crisp and thin enough to bite through easily avacado was creamy. The burger was done perfectly. Still pink but warm and tasty, cooked on a bbq flavor. It comes without any dressing on it which I prefer… fixin’s are on the side if you want. Fries — skin on — are very good. Crisp and not greasy. Would give it 5 stars but the chairs are super hard to sit on, bad back. can’t sit on hard wooden chairs without pain. Maybe if I had a beer it would’ve dulled the pain, but I’m driving.

I have been wanting to eat here and we finally did! It was awful! The French dip was less than desired.(dry, tasteless) we asked they give us new fries because they were burnt and the server told me that was what they should look like. I’ve never had a server so argumentative before! My boyfriend had sent his med steak back as well because it came raw. She told us that’s what he ordered. Again NO! We really wanted to try this place and now we’ll never go back. Please put a Chef in the kitchen and hire NICE servers who check on you and have knowledge of food. Thanks Shi & William
