Fishery Restaurant

Great little place on the water. Dog friendly patio. Servers were friendly n provided doggie water bowls. We had a combo basket of lightly fried large shrimp and fresh grouper. Also some yummy shrimp gumbo. Will definitely be back.

Terrible! We waited over 50 minutes for lunch before leaving. We all ordered fried food which never came. Manager did not approach any of the tables to offer an explanation. When we finally decided to leave yhey had the table cleared before we walked out the door. I guess that’s the only thing they cared about.

First time back in four years. You pay for the view and «Old Florida». The place is clean and the service was excellent and friendly. The food was inconsistent. My friend said her shrimp taco salad was best taco salad she ever had. She loved her orange rum drink. They brought us a sourdough loaf which was very dense and «scratchy» (looked beautiful, tasted only ok). My house salad was only okay – one cherry tomato, carrots diced to «mushy». Lime vinaigrette had no lime flavor but was an ok dressing. My fish chowder of crab, shrimp, okra was sorta yucky – tasted like flour, no flavor of shrimp or crab in any bite. I poured it over a side of yellow rice to make it more palatable ($ 5 for a cup of chowder, $ 3 for a side of rice). I ordered their orange key lime pie. It came pretty and had good flavor but orange was not identifiable. Most of the menu appeared fried. (eg. baskets) The daily specials were about $ 18 with the only vegetable for all of them «small red potatoes». Again – we got a 4 star or 5 star experience because of location location location. Not sure this place fits the bill of «great eats» except as a «take your chances» place. I’d absolutely eat here again.

Despite what other reviewers say, this is a very good place to come to. In the past 2 – 3 weeks we have come here by boat and have always been treated well. The service and food have been very good to excellent.
We have had had to the house specials both times and both times the meal was prepared well and served promptly.
There are a couple of craft stores nearby to visit after having a great meal.

I guess they didn’t want my money.
What was once one of my favorite seafood places has disappointed. I ending up leaving after 20 minutes waiting for a drink and menu. Asked several times for service. I let the management know and then left.
Back to Boca Grande for seafood & better service.
