Started with mild buffalo wings, good sauce but the meat was tough. Got talked into a sole-lobster special, ignoring the never eat fish after a weekend rule. The fish had 4 bones in it with two-three measly pieces of lobster with some mystery sauce over rice. Let’s just say I got to see a lot of that meal again later in the night. Bartender was very friendly and kept the drinks going. No lite beer on tap though. I’ve been here before and getting bar seat is not always the easiest. Good place for a few beers if your staying at the hotel and don’t want a DUI. Choose dishes carefully if your stomach is not made of cast iron. Friendly crowd, like most hotel bars a bit of a sausage party Burgers and sammiches available in $ 10 – 15 range; entrees will cost a cool 25 bucks or so.

We were planning a pleasure/business function last night and decided to choose this restaurant since it was convenient for everyone that coming. We asked the waiter if he could give us all separate checks, he was extremely accommodating and did a great job. We were a party of 18 and everyone loved their food, the atmosphere and the service. Everyone is talking about how completely satisfied they were with every thing. We will all definitely return.

Had the chicken sandwich, lobster bisk, and fries. Max served me and Joe was at the bar and both were great. Stayed at the hotel and loved my stay.

I stop through here for lunch on a regular basis. I typically get the ‘Chicken Capri’ or turkey club, but I have also had the burger and some of the soups. All are very reasonably priced, are prepared well, tasty and in more than good portion size to satisfy all. I generally eat at the bar where I am most excellently served by the weekday bartender, Lynn. Not too many months ago, the hotel finished renovations of the bar and dining areas. Both were much improved and provide for a comfortable and friendly environment to relax and eat.

Although this place is inside a Holiday Inn, the atmosphere was pretty nice and cool. The food was not that bad either especially for the price we paid($ 49 groupon for $ 100 worth of food + wine) We had: crab cake, stuffed clams, calamari, T-bone steak, salmon salad, lobster ravioli, and duck. All of it was pretty good. The crab cake seemed like it wasn’t warmed enough though. The staff were also courteous and helpful.

Open airy space tucked in the corner of the lobby near the lobby lounge in the holiday inn. The music is too loud for a dinner setting, it was a relief when they took a break. We were there on a Groupon offer and the waitress seems annoyed at that and told us we couldnt just order up the value in appetizers, we had to order entrees,(said NOTHING about that in the groupon offer, but we WERE there for dinner) She seemed frazzled, but it really wasnt a busy night. The food: wedge salad with shrimp and tomatoes and russian dressing: EXCELLENT. I could have just eaten this alone. lots of bacon, we had to ask for more dressing, but that was no problem. It was a big salad — plenty to share. Appetizer: colossal scallops in lobster risotto. It was more like lobster soup, I love risotto and this did not resemble it is the least — it was soup with rice in it… BUT, the flavor was good — my husband didn’t care that it was the wrong texture — he wolfed it down. Entrees: I was not impressed with my lobster ravioli, they were not the delicate hand formed raviolis of every other place I get them(a personal favorite) They were pasty machine pressed and I did not eat them. My husband ordered the strip steak — it lacked flavor and more than 1⁄3 of it was discarded as grizzly. The veggies and potato were plentiful, we didn’t go hungry. We drank wine by the glass, but there was a nice assortment on the wine list. Maybe it was an off night — we’ll try again — Groupon make it so attractive !!

I haven’t been to the Bistro, per se, but rather the hotel bar. It’s been a couple of years since my last visit, and I must say that the remodel is pretty sweet. The upgrades and bright, open space is a definite improvement from its former, outdated look. Wait, the owner spent a ton of dough for the remodel, but didn’t put a sound system around the bar? Yeah, the little boombox on a barstool just isn’t what I was expecting. After a hard day’s work, it’s nice to unwind at this hotel bar. Both bartenders, Ken and Christine are good peoples. They’ll chat you up and try to remember when you return. Christine is fvckin crazy, and I mean that in the bestest way possible. She’s definitely got a firecracker personality. Ken is chill in comparison, and definitely a cool dude. I appreciate that the pours are heavy, especially since the bottle beers are not that cheap(convenience charge — i get it). I’ve had a couple of menu bar bites. Very filling. Decent chop house burger. Club sandwich is colossal as advertised. Good fries. I’ll have to sample some tapas next time. Nibbling on the cheap? Ask for bar snacks. They keep a mystery bin behind the bar.

Don’t order steak here. The bar tender, Veronica, is great, but you should go somewhere else for food. You pay $ 20 to $ 30 for a steak that you can’t chew. I’ve eaten many steaks in many different restaurants and this is the worst I’ve encountered. When I complained, I was told the cut was fine and they made me a different cut which was more of the same. I’m well aware of what a bad cut of meat tastes like. Rather than argue the point, I. took a to go box and trashed the steak! Beware!

I travel extensively, and I’m used to an occasional bad service. I usually roll with it and just move on to the next town. But the service at Bistro 46 was so bad, it inspired me to join Unilocal just to post this review. I had dinner in the bar area recently on a non-busy Tuesday night. It’s clear the bartenders are there to socialize with friends and regulars rather than provide attentive service. A colleague joined me after I had ordered a drink and dinner. They served me after he sat down, and they never offered him a drink or took his food order. The sound system consisted of a boom box blaring somebody’s insane iTunes playlist. I’ve posted a picture of the sound system, lol. I consumed my meal, and my colleague, still waiting, left to go find food elsewhere. I stayed an additional 45 minutes waiting for my bill and eventually gave up. At the front desk I told them what happened and gave them my room number to charge if they dared. They did, and dialed in a big tip for themselves as well. Nice. The front desk was clueless regarding the hotel’s «satisfaction guarantee» in this situation. With no other food choices within walking distance, I would choose another hotel unless you had a car.
