Great friendly staff.
Day starts off well when I go to this deli in the morning.
Very considered and fast working staff.

The egg bacon and cheese sandwich here gives me life. Turns any day into a good day by getting one of these in the morning. I get mine with sunny side eggs on them. It gets messy obviously but it’s worth it. And they know exactly how to handle making it. Also, they will make your coffee or you can do it yourself and the coffee station.
Conveniently located as well. Definitely going to get an EBC on a roll tomorrow morning!

How does one go about reporting this to the Nassau County Board of Health?

Well after a near Super Bowl sized meltdown when my previous caterer cancelled on me, I was left a few days before the big game with no food. On a whim, I called this little local deli and they saved the day!
We had a 6 foot hero, half Italian, half vegetarian and it was a huge hit. Even the non vegetarians were saying how yummy the balsamic roasted vegetables were. Included was a massive amount of Cole slaw, Mac salad, and potato salad. They also provide pickles, olives, roasted peppers, mayo, mustard, Italian and balsamic dressings. Everything was wrapped up in a lovely basket and on a football tray. I’m such a dope, because we opened everything before I could get a Unilocal worthy picture, but I assure you it was really well presented.
I’m glad my guests were happy and the food was awesome AND they could accommodate me in a pinch. Oh and they were way cheaper than other places. So happy with everything, this will be my new go to for catering :)

And Italian deli that can’t be bothered to make their own dressing and just uses Kraft Italian dressing isn’t a deli it’s a joke. It’s sad because there was so much potential to have a great sandwich.

The employees are so warm and welcoming and very sweet. They make it an absolute pleasure to come in there and get my breakfast or lunch. Not to mention the food is just as fantastic as the service! Love this place!!!

Awesome sandwiches and side salads. This the absolute best on Long Island. I discovered them because a past employer used to cater food from them periodically. I loved it so much that I used them several times for my own catering. I cannot say how good their food is enough. The service is also terrific and you will get your order accurately and on time. They will even help set up when they deliver. Just a great company.

I’ve been cheating on my usual deli spot. But Hanstedt is awesome! I’ve also been trying a new breakfast sandwich (egg whites, Swiss, well done bacon) yummmy! Service is quick and everyone is always so friendly! They have a wide selection of pre-​prepared foods which always look fresh. I might have to stick to them for now!

A family friendly deli with many options but very basic. My only issue with this deli is that they do not wear gloves to prepare food. If ever a glove was worn when they handle the money with the glove on. Those who don’t care will be happy eating there but for me not acceptable.

This deli is great!!! I have had great service and consistently good sandwiches every time I’ve been here. Also their catering prices are great/​fair. Picking up a 6′ sub today for the super bowl. Best in Plainview!

Good deli’s are hard to find these days but this one is on top of my list.
My dad lives in Bethpage and one of his doctor’s is in Plainview so we were
looking for a place to pick up lunch and someone in the office recommended
this place. My dad had a Rueben which he loved, it’s the first time I’ve seen
a Rueben sandwich with corned beef and pastrami it was a great combination.
I had the Hanstedt Supreme and thought the chicken cutlet was cooked to
perfection, golden brown and moist, and I loved the balsamic vinigarette.
Now all they need is to make a German butter cake which is impossible to find.
I will definitely be back.

A German deli! I thought they didn’t exist anymore! Great sandwiches here, though there’s a weird disconnect when egg sandwiches come back from the grill, sometimes you have to ask to be rung up. The missing fourth star is mainly for the hours — I wish they were open later.

Seriously, I’m now convinced the oatmeal raisin cookies here are the best thing I’ve ever eaten. OK, maybe not the best, but def top 10. Look at my pic. Somehow they’ve perfected the art of barely cooking a cookie and still making it taste delicious. Beyond my minor cookie rant (go eat it!) the deli is reliable and provides some cool specials these days (printed daily and posted around the store). Def stop by for a quick sammie (AND A COOKIE!) if you’re in the area.

This is definitely an above average deli. I work nearby and visit every once in a while but i have never been disappointed. What i really love getting is the specials. They’re always fantastic, today I went with the corned beef brisket and oh my god was it good.
The staff is so friendly so stop by and give it a try!

Tried the Unilocal verified delicious chocolate chip cookies. The flavor was definitely there. They were chilled for some reason kept in a case. but good. Soft and chewy not necessarily buttery and crispy… more like an Entenmans soft cookie. not like a Tates. etc. So while not gourmet etc. they do have an addictive flavor.
Tuna was good!
