Udon noodle soup (veggie) delish & huge. I would recommend this place & I’ll be back.

This is a Great place for lunch. they have a reasonable lunch menu, with a nice choice of veggie rolls and entrees. Their peanut avocado roll is probably one of the best. My latest craze is their Veggie Udon soup. Excellent!

Great spot to lunch if you work in the area. I am ADDICTED to their stir fried udon noodles lunch special!

The sushi I’ve ordered has been good, but not great. I would order it again, maybe the chef was feeling meh that day.
Either way, the udon noodles make up for it 100%! 5 stars just for the noodles. Shrimp somehow makes the best broth, but I usually get the vegetarian. Like I said… Addicted.

We ordered take out and it was mediocre. The cucumber and avocado rolls were good. The fried rice was good too. The issue was the avocado salad. They placed the cold salad under the hot rice, so the avocado got all brown and mushy. The veggie gyoza was pretty bland and the sauce they served it with was just soy sauce. The soy sauce also tasted bland. For real, there are about 600 sushi places around here, so there’s no need to come back here. Also, at 6:30 on a Saturday night the place was completely empty. That shocked me. I’ll be going to Kumo from now on. I’ve learned my lesson.

I liked their miso soup and Super Yummy roll but really did not enjoy the yaki soba. I don’t think they even used soba noodles. It looked and tasted like bland Chinese Lo mein. The noodles were white, not like soba, and there was absolutely no flavor.

We came here for lunch and got the three roll special. The rolls tasted very fresh and were adequate size. I really feel like I got my money’s worth. It also came with salad and miso soup. You should definitely get the miso here. It might have been the best I’ve ever had. You will love it long time.

Very good sushi at a affordable price! We ordered bento box, Hot Mama’s Rols and King Kong rolls. All presented nice. And excellent service. The waitress saw that my daughter’s jaw dropped when she saw an order from neighboring table with a light on a plate and she asked chef to also include the light on our plate and then my daughter was given the light.

Service was great sushi very fresh, excellent variety. Small and very nice in the inside. Sat at the sushi bar very friendly, offered samples as a repeat customer. Highly recommend this place.

The presentation of the food was great! Their English is a little iffy when it came to ordering but they got it all right. The crab Rangoon were really tasty. We ordered the passion, lobster mango, eel and California rolls. All pretty good.
By around 8:30, the staff started eating dinner and stopped catering to our needs so it took us forever to get out of there. The service was pretty slow overall besides that.

it was certainly a little disconcerting to walk into an empty dining room but we were hungry and it was late so we sat down. ordered the sushi for two entrée and it came with a spicy girl and a spicy tuna with peppered tuna on top roll. plus a ton of delicious sushi. the spicy girl is a spicy salmon avocado roll with cajun seared salmon on top. it is amazing. i highly suggest trying it. the sushi itself was very fresh and the rice was seasoned nicely. the fluke was phenomenal as was the striped bass. overall this place definitely has potential and it was a great sushi experience even with an empty restaurant. we really enjoyed our meal.

Ruined the good ol’ Robata of Tokyo. This is now just another Chinese sushi place, not a real Japanese sushi place.
Ordered standard spicy salmon and spicy tuna, nothing special, can’t distinguish between the two, the rice wrapping barely there and barely holds the whole thing. The taste is far from Robata’s real sushi.
Service is OK and they are attentive and trying.
I had high expectation since I’m used to Robata so I was ultimately disappointed. Will not come back.

Was hoping that this new place would be like robata but I was wrong. This is another typical Chinese-​owned sushi place. Food was mediocre and service was ridiculously slow. Will not be coming back.

So we returned to Heike on Friday to dine in the newly refurbished and sleek dining room. At 7 pm, the room was fairly empty, but filled up with diners within the hour, which was nice to see. The service is friendly but somewhat inexperienced. The food, however, is terrific. Although we usually just stick to sushi when we eat at such places, we each ordered Bento box dinners, as they are prominently displayed at the bottom of the menu and looked like a great deal. We were both very happy with the quality, quantity, and value of our choices.
Each dinner started with miso soup and a salad. Then, with the main box (plate), you get a California roll, 3 shumai (steamed shrimp dim sum), a bowl of white rice, and 2 choices from a main entrée list, e.g., chicken or tofu teriyaki (the tofu was surprisingly crispy on the outside and good), shrimp tempura, and beef negimaki. We were surprised to see that we could also choose certain sushi or sashimi to round out the box, and my wife had a salmon avocado roll as one of her choices. She loved it.
All in all, the food was great, and there was plenty of it. Nice addition to the area.

Went to Heike with a friend for a birthday dinner and it was amazing!!! The service and the sushi were incredible! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating they made our dinner very enjoyable! I have been to many sushi restaurants and this is by far one of my new favorites I will definitely be back!

I ordered the sushi deluxe as a take out. This place used to be Robata and has re-​opened recently with a new interior and a large selection of rolls, sashimi and sushi. Sushi deluxe was $ 19 and came with 9 pieces and a tuna roll. Salad or miso included. Sushi was fresh and glistening, I mean it looked like it should be in a display case. Really good firm texture and served on just a small portion of rice so the flavor of the fish was not overwhelmed by the rice. Recommend.

First time here since it opened. Has been transformed and given a modern chic look. For the prices this place is worth it. I would consider coming again.

This place is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! From the marvelous service to the most delicious sushi… this place gets an A+ in my book! This is a new place in town, formerly Robata Sushi, this new sushi restaurant with brand new owners has certainly upped their game! I have been to MANY sushi spots and this is hands down one of the best around! Prices are very reasonable as well! My friend and I went last week and we loved every minute of it! We will certainly be back!

Excellent sushi! First time here as they just opened 10 days ago, but so far so good with the food. The miso was so flavorful and the ginger dressing, tasty.
But of course, the sushi is the star. I had my usual spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll which were both very fresh and delicious. When I requested extra crunchies, they happily put them on top. Yay! My third roll was the shrimp mango which was also very good.
A coworker had the hot chicken teriyaki lunch and said it was also very good, and two others also had sushi, saying they loved what they got, so no complaints in our office today!
One thing that stood out today, the friendliness of the server taking my order over the phone. She was very thorough and after I arrived, extremely friendly welcoming me to their new place. You can tell she is filled with pride and that really makes a difference to me.
I’m going to enjoy this new lunch spot for as long as I can while it’s quiet since in time, the word will be out and I’m sure they’ll get super busy!
