I love this place but I wish they had a larger choice of pizza’s! I tried the soup here once and I did not like it at all. The staff is very friendly and I love the pizza here!

Well… had the pie been hot or even warm it would have been really really good. However it was not either. Also there were no napkins, no red pepper flakes, no parmesan cheese on the side as specifically requested. Would I order it again? Yes possibly if I was sitting in the restaurant. This was for delivery it took over an hour and it was not hot… just saying

I’m a visitor from Texas do I had to try as much as I could! I got«plain» pizza, which I know as cheese pizza. It was pretty good. I could tell they use good cheese. Good thin crunchy crust too. I also had a slice of Sicilian pizza. This was great! Same good cheese as the plain but with a good portion of fantastic sauce! The sauce was full of flavor and really added to the pizza. Garlic knots… that was an impulse buy. In had already checked out but than I saw of the cashier’s shoulder a huge bowl of garlic knots. I thought to myself«hey, I’m in New York… go for it.» So I got those too! Yes I know… lots of bread and carbs… but when in Rome. Anyhow, the garlic knots were great. Seasoned well with a light amount of oil on the outside and a dusting of the toasted garlic, parmesan, and what I think was oregano. The toasted garlic really stands out as it should… not too much and not too little. I was in and out in under 5 minutes(take out). They move fast in there!

Had lunch with 3 of my children and everyone was happy! I had the pecan salad with mixed greens and Gorgonzola cheese. It was delicious. One of my sons ordered the penne aka vodka and he’s my fussy son. He enjoyed it. The other son ordered chicken rooting which had spinach and mozzarella inside with a side of pasta. He enjoyed it. My daughter ordered the Tuscan salad and loved it! Service was good and we were all happy!

Food is good, but delivery is HORRIBLE! When I called because food was over a half hour late, the girl gave a half-hearted lame excuse and said the printer was having problems. Did not explain why I was not informed, and was rude and not apologetic. She acted like it was no big deal that they messed up. Stay away!!!

Food is really good actually. However, I have ordered from them twice now and it was for delivery. The delivery was late by a half hour. I ordered these lunches for business purposes. Their delivery is NOT reliable. The crazy things was I called 2 hours ahead of time and the delivery was literally a cross the street. They tried to tell me that there may have been trafic or an accident. I even told them this was impossible because it was across the street. They seemed to not really own the mess up. They will not be getting my business again.

I order from this place quite often. Only because there are no pizzerias In the area that offer smaller rustic 12″ size pizzas. Food is very mediocre and way overpriced. Most people get their first impression of a restaurant by judging the bread. The bread they serve is cheap and a poor excuse. My order gets screwed up 7 out of 10 times. The place is built like the Taj Mahal and their computer system looks top notch… so why… why every single time I call I have to waste 3 minutes telling the girl my name and phone number? Not to mention another 3 Minutes repeating the exact same order I place 2x a week… shouldn’t you know this information? This computer technology to do so existed in 2001 when I ordered Italian from my old neighborhood. as for the positive, the staff is very nice and so are the managers. Orders are executed extremely fast. While I hate to make these comments, they are honest. I have heard that there are new owners there… so this is not their fault… they just inherited this place and it’s flaws. I just hope they are smart enough to slowly fix them.

La Piazza’s Plainview location could very well be the busiest, most hectic and stressful pizza/Italian eatery in the world, especially during prime takeout and dining hours, when the locals descend on the place and stack the front counter 3 or 4 deep, jostling for position and space. But there’s a reason for the nightly scrum. The food is absolutely magnificent. I actually stopped patronizing the place a few years ago due to the aggravation, but I’m so glad I returned the other night. From the excellent pizza to Italian staples like chicken parmigiana, lasagna, meatballs, and its extraordinary array of pasta dishes, La Piazza really delivers in flavor and volume. The menu, however, offers so much more. Highly recommend veal cutlet smothered with a mound of wholesome, flavorful bruschetta. If salad’s your thing, the Tuscan Bistro salad with grilled skirt steak is extraordinary, both the salad, itself, and the steak. The veal cutlet and skirt steak were so tender and delicious the other night it was almost shocking. But then I remembered how much I used to enjoy the grilled chicken, so I guess I shouldn’t have been shocked. They really know how to what they do well. Definitely will try one of the fish filet dishes that looked so delicious on the table next to me. It really takes some stamina to deal with the crowd, bustle, and sometimes brusque service, but I’ve come to the conclusion it’s worth it once in a while.

I’ve been here a couple of times now, and so far so good. I’ve tried their plain pizza, marguerite, garlic knots and they were all pretty good.

Had Sicilian piZza with sausage and spinach. Great flavor. The side salad with their house dressing was spectacular. Cannoli was freshly made and wonderful

La Piazza NY Plainview 7pm Saturday 30th January 2016 Five Stars This restaurant had some of the best Italian food that I have ever eaten. We were seated in the back probably because I was wearing sweat pants. I had a buffalo chicken slice of pizza to start. The crust was crispy, the chicken was tender, and creamy blue cheese made for a delicious bite. Next I had a Cesar salad which was good. The romaine was fresh, the homemade croutons Were crunchy and buttery. The dressing did the trick. I finished the meal with a platter of Veal Parmesan. There were four moist, and superbly battered veal cutlets. I opted for bolognese sauce for a $ 1.50 up-charge which made all the difference to me. It was a fantastically filling meal.

Completely overrated. A ton of better pizzerias in the area. Villa Monte’s to name one. Do yourself a favor if you need to eat in this parking lot, I suggest the Mixed Grill.

Came here yesterday for lunch and been here once before that. I knew it was going to be solid and that the slices wouldn’t disappoint. I ended up getting a bottle of Sprite, one Sicilian slice, and a rice ball. The Sicilian slice was excellent; it was just out of the oven. Slice had a good ratio of sauce and cheese and the bottom of the slice was nice and soft. It was actually my first time trying a rice ball, and i have to say it was pretty good. It had a nice crunchy outer texture and the stuff inside was good(rice, green peas, and ground beef). However, i was disappointed as there was barely any ground beef in the riceball(not meaty at allll) and it was ridiculously overpriced at $ 4. Are you kidding me? Might be the standard price, but… Damn. Overall my meal was close to $ 10, which is pretty expensive for what i got. Thus the 3 star rating.

I think this is the best pizza I’ve ever had! The Sicilian marinara pizza is unlike anything I’ve ever had and is a must try with lots of sauce on top and not cheesy like most pizza. The Sicilian cheese is excellent as well and the garlic knots are the best I’ve ever had. Nothing fancy and is just great, cheap food to eat there, take out, or delivery. It’s authentic and the guys working there were talking to each other in Italian. I liked it so much I went back a second night, I ordered a couple garlic knots and they gave me a big bag of them for free since they were about to close. A must try and I’ll be back if I’m around here again. Any chance y’all can open a location in DC?
