Ordered the beef and broccoli lunch special. The meat was gray and tasted like old fish. Very disappointed and still hungry. I will not go back. Better off going to the delicatessen two doors down.

I recently took a gamble and walked in, placed an order, sat down and THEN checked it out on Unilocal. As I waited for my order, I sat there totally regretting it after reading the bad reviews. Now I am so glad I didn’t read them beforehand. After a lot of searching, there is only one other Chinese takeout place that I go to and it’s in Huntington. So, I would only get Chinese food maybe 3 – 4 times a year because that’s a 45 minute drive roundtrip. I only order the same 2 dishes when I have Chinese food because I don’t eat meat. Peking Kitchen happens to use breaded tofu, which is the only way I like it. I was so thrilled when I discovered it! Other places that don’t use breading,… the tofu always tastes rubbery. My mom had their wonton soup and raved about it. Love that they offer brown rice. And the other bonus, when I ordered a vegetable spring roll, it wasn’t anything like the standard small ones all other places have. It was actually an egg roll just without the meat. I haven’t had a «real» egg roll in probably 15 years so it was a really nice treat. Wouldn’t say the counter staff is the friendliest but that really doesn’t bother me as I only order take out.

Yea, def just below the average Chinese takeout spot. On the surface the place has potential. There’s the huge 70’s picture menu on the wall, the cashier speaks little English and there is one guy working his a$$ off with a huge wok in the back. Typical so far, but the execution was below other similar spots. The egg drop soup looked straight toxic. Like highlighter color toxic. Like I showed my friends bc it looked like lemon-lime Gatorade. The taste? Bleh. Other dishes were standard and bland as well. If you’re in the area head up the road a block and you literally have 3 other better take out places to choose from. Choose wisely young Jedi. Otherwise, you might get toxic soup as well! Note: it was FREEZING in the store when I was in there. I’m not sure if they are aware of AC or heat.

Unfortunately, kind of sub par. There are literally a dozen other chinese take out places within a 1 mile of this place in any direction, and all are better quality food along with more bang for your buck.
