Ice cream girl Amanda was absolutely amazing. She was so helpful, beautiful, and made the perfect ice creams. She was so friendly to my children. I can see why it’s called Friendly’s. We also ordered food, and we told our waitress that we wanted the mozzarella sticks that were on $ 5.55 menu. When we got our bill, we noticed that the waitress charged the appetizer for a larger portion which we did not order. That is not acceptable. Who wants to pay $ 8 for a little plate of fried cheese. When we went to pay the bill, our waitress took forever to come out and we had to ask other waitresses to get her. What exactly were you doing? We are your customers. You should be paying attention to our wants and needs. But she was really nice.

Wow so haven’t been here since redo… Very disappointed it’s really lost that Friendly’s old fashioned feel. Waited several minutes to be seated even though it couldn’t have been more than 20 percent full at 9:15 on a Saturday night. Brought to a filthy table and had to wait several minutes for a server who was rude and incompetent. Restrooms and floors of restaurant were litter with napkins and… Food came promptly but was poor at best. More cheese in quesadilla than tortilla making it a gooey mess. Bacon cheeseburger had no flavor… buffalo strips cold and tasteless. If this is what it like after a relaunch my guess Friendly’s will close all remaining stores.

Impressed. Newly remodeled, Red & Grey color scheme with all new booths, tables, carpeting and just a fresh brighter, clean feel now. Much more modernized.
I used to dine here frequently but my schedule hasn’t allowed it. Came back and was surprised of the new design inside. I ordered breakfast this late morning, hey it’s 50% off M-​F. Staff is «friendly», and food came quickly, what I ordered. Friendly’s has been around for decades I’m sure you’ve been to one and expect this isn’t a 5 diamond restaurant. It’s decent inexpensive fast delicious food that I don’t mind eating once in a while.
I will be back. :)

this place is cool, way over priced though. Foods pretty average

I visit this location maybe once a year (their peanut butter cup sundae still being one of my all time fav’s) but actually partook in this establishment twice this past week! The first time was for take out… got the grilled cheese… still feelin it after all these years and the peanut butter cup sundae… hubby got the clam boat and my daughter the chicken fingers. We all enjoyed our meals. The second visit was with my friend and our kids… got the chicken noodle soup which is always good (my daughter concurred) and the tomato mozzarella salad which was only ok… and a strawberry sundae which I split with my daughter… I asked for it to come with vanilla soft serve. she said that it would… it came with regular vanilla hard ice cream. I don’t even think they sell soft serve anymore which equals= TOTAL EPIC FAIL. but it was still a good sundae. Service was slow, high chairs were filthy… but my daughter loved her grilled cheese and seemed to have fun… it is a good place to bring kids to. This place is cleaner than most Friendly locations, but that is not saying much. I will return again next year.

Horrible service, our waitress talked to us with an attitude, never once smiled. Friendly’s used to be a fun happy place to bring your kids to. If your that unhappy working there then go work some where else. We never had such bad service there before.

Horrible service… STILL. So unfortunate as we are local and wanted to give it a chance after their renovation. Sat at the front for about 10 minutes, place was not really busy, and no one even greeted us except the guy yelling from the next room that someone would be with us in a few minutes after he heard us complaining to the next unfortunate group that came in to be ignored.

Place is dirty, service is slow, ice cream server wiped spoons on his arm! Food was good though. Bathroom dirty.

I ran in last night to grab a small dish of ice cream… simple– two scoops of strawberry.
It took maybe about 10 minutes before the girl working even acknowledged us or helped.
I have to say it smelled a little inside and they should really put a door up so that customers don’t see the serving station. It definitely was not appetizing or sanitary looking.
The girl working the front register was very slow and she often checked her phone… before even helping us.
There was another girl talking about her personal life and boys… something a customer should not hear — save that for an offline conversation.

JFK was president and Madonna really was a virgin the last time I set foot in a Friendly’s. So why did you toss caution to the wind by having lunch at this recently remodeled location? I am a frugal senior and there was a cheeseburger and small Fribble for $ 2 promotion being run. Sounds like a super deal — was it? No. Was it an okay deal? Yeah. How was the chocolate Fribble? Great. How about the wait service by Sammantha? Super. So what’s the problem? The burger was thin and drier than the Mojave Desert. Would you do this promo again? Unlikely.

If it wasn’t for the ice cream this place sucks. Slow slow service, it’s like all of them are in training. You would be better off going next door to Applebee’s.

Yuck. Less than stellar food, everything frozen and gross. The bathrooms always seem to smell weird. This is your typical Friendlys, so if you want frozen gross food, this place is for you. However, the ice cream is good! That’s the only redeeming quality about this place.

This was by far the worst and last experience i will ever have at this place. The service sucked. The food sucked. We waited 10 mins just to be greeted and there weren’t very many seated tables at all. I hope this chain burns to the ground. Don’t go here

If I could rate it zero I would. AWFUL, SLOW SERVICE. While waiting for my ice cream I watched two fountain employees enjoy some dessert WHILE making others. AND shake out their hair and scratch their scalps. Can you say disgusting?! I think what this establishment needs is the damn health department!

One of my favorite Friendly’s. The service is always fast, and super accommodating to diners who have children. The food is always good and the standards are met.
Being in the same location as a movie theatre, I’d expect it to be busier, but I guess the movie and ice cream from my childhood has moved to something else.

This Friendly’s is solid, folks.
Stopped by here after a scintillating morning at the DMV with a good friend. We enjoyed a nosh and some coffee and had fine service.
Honestly, it’s Friendly’s. You know what to expect here. But this particular location is very clean, and very efficient. I think it’s a cut above some of the others I’ve visited over the years.
If you’re lookin’ for your Fishamajig sandwich, this is the Friendly’s to visit.

Who is not a fan?! Seriously great place for kids, and adults. There is just one thing that I would say would make it have 5 Stars. and it has nothing to do with this local Friendly’s, but the main company needs to stop changing the menus constantly, it would be so great if they just kept adding new stuff, but kept some of the dinner platters. They replaced a lot of the dinner platters with deep fried basket finger food. I used to love getting a full dinner at Friendly’s but now I feel like I am munching on finger food. Oh well. the Ice Cream I guess makes up for it. :)

Had a yummy Crispi Chicken Salad. Very taste. Staff friendly. waited on me. Very nice lady !. Very happy here. Sundae was good too !!!

Came here with my boyfriend as we spent the Easter weekend in Plainville, Connecticut. This was my first time EVER at a Friendly’s and I have to chuckle when I saw «Happy Endings» sundaes on the menu because… yanno…I’m 12 ;-).
We had already had a delicious and filling lunch but wanted something to satisfy our sweets cravings afterwards and he knew I had NEVER been to a Friendly’s so off we went!
I ordered a 2 scoop «Happy Endings» Sundae with 1 scoop of Oreo Cookies n’ Cream and 1 scoop of Chocolate Almond Chip and Kit Kat bits mixed in — I thought their ‘Chocolate Almond Chip” was going to be like Haagen-​Dazs Chocolate Covered Almond with vanilla ice cream as a base and chocolate covered almonds thrown in, instead Friendly’s version used chocolate ice cream as a base… not my preference, but also not the end of the world — my sundae was still divine.
My boy also ordered a «Happy Endings» sundae but his had Mint Chocolate Chip with I think vanilla, whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles and a cherry on top — it looked pretty orgasmic.
Food wise I glanced through the menu which looked like your typical, gluttonous, super fattening/​delicious/​butter-​filled southern comfort food type fare. I wouldn’t be beneath chowing down on a crazy good-​looking grilled cheese sandwich here though… just to say I did, lol.
I could see food here being rated a 3, but for ice cream — Friendly’s is definitely where it’s at. Next time I’m here I’m going for their birthday cake sundae thing ;-).

A few weeks ago, I celebrated the arrival of Fall with an ice cream cake. It was an impulsive decision and what better place to get a cheap ice cream cake than Friendly’s? I tried Dairy Queen and Baskin Robbins but the price tag was not within my budget. I haven’t been to Friendly’s for quite awhile so I was shocked when I walked in and noticed the greasy stench lingering in the air. The place was packed and I was sorta disappointed with the cake I got.
I waited and waited for someone to service me. There wasn’t a line but no one was at the register. Actually I stood there for quite a while before someone acknowledged me. When I finally picked out the cake I wanted I waited some more to have «Happy 1^st Day of Fall» written on the cake. Initially I wanted «Happy 1^st Day of Fall. Behave» written on the cake because the cake was purchased for the children at work. I figured if I was going to give them cake there better be a lesson attached as well unfortunately I wasn’t informed that she couldn’t fit all of it on. Sadly I would have felt better with «Behave» than simply «Happy 1^st Day of Fall». The communication was not there at all.
A decent place for a not so special cake. The cakes itself won’t be memorable.
