Great venue and atmosphere for live music and drinks! The bartender was welcoming and the folks(probably regulars) were super friendly! And it looks like they are a supporter of local breweries since they carried some of the drafts. I’m a fan of the 603 Brewery so I’m happy they have few on taps here. When I went for the stout, I thought it was sweet when the bartender asked me if I was sure I wanted a stout because it’s a darker beer(I guess I don’t have a beer-lover look). Sweet, malty and easy to drink, yeah, 603 Granite Stout draft was for me tonight. And, they have pool tables and dart boards here for other fun things to do at Racks! [:

They dont have a wait staff but the bartendar was great with service. Alot of regulars go there and i can understand why its a very relaxing atmosphere. I didnt order food just a side of fries but they were yummy. Prices reasonable. Selection of drinks typical nothing fancy at this place. Its a hidden gem. I almost drove past it because it sits on too of a fish market. I would recommend this place for sure

Service is great — second time in and the bartender knew my drink! Extremely friendly and good food.

Tried out this place and was thrilled to hear that they had live music. However, the guy that manages the place was constantly giving the bartenders a hard time about the most ridiculous things. He was so rude to them that I it made me very uncomfortable. I ordered the prime rib au jus sandwich. It was served on a soft roll rather than french bread and he put the au jus on the sandwich rather than in a separate bowl which made it mushy. I would not go into the place again, simply because the manager was such a jerk.

My buddy and I walked in one late afternoon this summer. There was nobody there; just the manager Rick. Seemed like a nice enough guy, but it quickly became apparent that he intended on hanging out with us while we had a couple drinks. He talked and talked and it was really annoying. As he bounced from one story to the next I couldn’t help but notice that the place was a mess. The bathroom was disgusting(full trash barrel, dirty toilet, spotted mirror, etc…), the bar area had dirty glasses waiting to be cleaned and the floors were littered with napkins and straws. I can’t even imagine what the food prep area looked like. Anyway, next story on his list was how he injured his finger moving a keg. He went into great detail about how much blood he lost and needing to get his finger surgically repaired. THENGETTHIS: he started to talk about engaging in inappropriate behavior with patrons. A couple more people filtered in and I presume they were regulars because his attention was focused on talking to them about the goings on at the bar. We were then able to enjoy our beverages and talk with ourselves. We left fairly quickly once we were done and haven’t been back.

Buccos bought out racks and I have to say that they have one of the better beer selections in the area(plaistow). If you liked buccos food back during the take out place or in kingston, you’ll like it here. Oh and all day IPA, yes please! Complete with happy hour specials

So I stop in here for a quick drink and maybe a bite to eat. I ask for a Captain Morgan and Diet Coke. I have to say from going to a lot of restaurants and bars you can tell how the ice is. You can tell when I’ve just doesn’t taste right. Anyways, I go on to finish my drink even though it wasn’t that great. Maybe it’s the glasses that has a weird smell to it. Then I order a simple order of mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks had a chicken taste to it. They must be using the same grease for all the other foods. I would recommend changing the oil in the fry server. And none the less, why are the mozzarella sticks almost square. Oh yeah, they are probably frozen. Fresh food and good service equals longevity of a bar business. And the staff obviously has no control over their suggestions because I assume they would like things different. Nuff said, if you want a quick drink and run. It’s ok. If you want to hang out for a few hours and have food and drinks. No way. P. S. No one asked me how my mozzarella sticks were or how everything was. HMMMMMMMMMM

Saw the sign for Racks while driving by a few times and finally grabbed the wife and stopped in. The place was clean and a killer blues band was playing. We couldn’t believe live music with NO cover charge. There are a couple dart boards and pool tables and plenty of seating. I know they have a full menu but we just had drinks while we played. Will be back for sure.

The wife and I had dinner there last night and watched the BRUINS win! First let me start by saying the place is very very clean, and the fish odor that was there before in the last establishment is gone completely. Renovations are nice, open concept, new bar, floor, lights, everything! The waitstaff are very helpful, friendly, and prompt. Buffalo chicken tenders with fries were enjoyed by my wife, and I had the steak tip dinner w/roasted potatoes and salad. Lightly marinaded and cooked perfectly… ohhh and the steak tip dinner was under $ 10 ?!! Thank you Carlo and Barbara for doing an amazing job, looking forward to many more goodtimes at RACKS.
