Johnny is a gem! He tried to help me first over the phone before charging me to send anyone out. After he couldn’t assist me, he told me the pricing for his services so there weren’t any surprises and we scheduled an appointment.
He showed up the next day during his scheduled time slot. We looked at the fridge together and he took his time to explain what had gone wrong with it. He told me my options for parts and let me know I can get it cheaper online and try installing it myself. He didn’t pressure me into getting the part exclusively through him which was nice. I will make Johnny at A-​1 Appliance Repair my go to guy for all the help I might need!

I rated one star because I had to, would have rated lower if I could. Warning do not use this refrigerator repair company! To the person that provided the previous review for A-​1, you are spot on in terms of warrantying their work. Our refrigerator ice machine went out a couple of months ago. I called and decided to go with A1 AT YOUR SERVICE, due to proximity and seemed like a good guy. Came out and replaced in about 10 minutes. I paid what we agreed to.
A couple weeks later I call back cause ice maker is dispensing ice outside of the bucket and accumulating at the bottom of the freezer. I call thinking that it is a 5 minute fix, since whole install took a whopping 10 minutes. I figure it is just misaligned due to installing it so quickly. The gentleman that answered proceeds to tell me that no it can’t be the install. He says it has to be an after market lever that I need. He says he can come install it for x dollars. I ask if he can come check, he says he will need to charge a service call.
So my advice to this service provider, change the name of your business! It should not include, «At Your Service,» much less A-​1. Try something like «B Rated Repair Service!»
BUYER BEWARE!

We had a competitor come to our house earlier in the week and they basically told us that they could not help us with our Whirlpool washing machine because of the way that we had them installed in our laundry room. A technician (Peter) came out to our house this morning and never complained once about the configuration. He was courteous, professional and efficient and was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it the same day (despite having to return to his office to retrieve a part). He went above and beyond to get us back up and running and did an outstanding job!

I called on Sunday and scheduled someone to come out on Monday. Monday morning they called me and canceled my appointment because I was not in their area, they told me the woman I spoke to was new and had made a mistake. I told them I had already taken the day off work and they still refused to send anyone out because it was too far to drive. If this is the way they handle THEIR mistakes, I’d hate to see how they fix things or what would have happened if they had made a mistake while in my home.
