AutoZone

I’m not really a fan of Autozone or O’Reilly’s. Its hard to find locations that have «real» autmotive people working there. You have access to the same system online they have in the store to look up your parts. If you can’t find your answer online, going to the store probably won’t help much.***
I went to this location because it was nearby when I decided I needed some parts for a project I was working on. I knew Autzone had a selection of bolts and exactly where they are in the store, and didn’t want to wait on them to be shipped to me… thus Autozone «won» my business for the day.
I walked in and they had half a dozen employees in the store. I WAS going to order some gaskets, new distributor wires, spark plugs, etc… but after standing around by the counter for several minutes while several employees stood there and did nothing… I walked out with $ 2.50 worth of merchandise instead of the $ 100 I was planning to buy.
I should note the bolts at Autozone are over priced compared to Lowes but I knew they stocked the 5÷16−18 1.25in bolts I needed.
*** Case in point: A buddy of mine runs an auto shop near an Autozone and O’Reillys… people buy the parts over there and bring them to his shop to ask if they’ll work.
