I’m definite a wine lover and enjoyed this spot. The service was great. Just get a spot where you can people watch in the corner. Its located in the shops at legacy and a great day you can grab a spot by the indoor/outdoor area. Very romantic spots in rear but definitely liked the vibe in this place.

Love the location, wine offerings, food, and of course chocolate fondue! We have always enjoyed our time there and have had great service!

Went last night. Ambiance was very nice, host and waiters in general were very friendly and helpful, food was OK. Unfortunately, we had a waiter that only seemed to be interested in selling and asking us to spend more money(which I obviously ignored). We ordered de shrimp and lobster potstickers(which were OK but didn’t really taste like lobster and shrimp). We also ordered the gorgonzola and pear pizza and it was OK to. The waiter kept saying that we should order something else but I ignored him again(fortunately, as that food was more than enough for us). For dessert, we got the cream brûlée and we liked it. To drink, we ordered two flights of champagne and the waiter suggested we get a bottle as it was ½ price champagne bottle night. I thought that was nice to share. We picked a $ 44 french champagne bottle that we wanted to try. When I selected it, the waiter said«are you sure you want that bottle and not try a nicer one?» I thought his comment was ridiculous and I answered no. I probably won’t be coming back because I don’t need a rude, unprofessional waiter to try to sell me food just to make more money(vs. suggesting and pointing me to good food and give good service). Very unfortunate.

This place is always a good time. The first time I went was when my friend and I were on the list at Grimaldi’s. The transponder works from there, so we had a flight in the interim. They have many flights with different themes, varietals and price points. The Champagne flight was a great idea to get the night rolling. On a subsequent visit I had the bold reds and they were great. My GF thought the cheese plate was great with the honeycomb as a huge plus. They had a CRU in in the Denver Airport, but it is a scaled down version. Still good, though.

Excellent! I had a great time here this past weekend. Very romantic and got to experience a couple of flights along with some food options. The chocolate fondue is good but the items must rotate seasonally so don’t go by the pictures posted here. Only knocked a star off because they seemed a little short staffed for a Saturday night and we had to keep flagging our waiter down.

I love Cru! That’s really all this review should say but let me tell you a couple reasons why. The wine selection… Spot on. Various different wines and various different prices. The servers nine times out of 10 usually know a lot about the wine and are good at helping you figure out what you might like best and always are accommodating when letting you have a taste before you buy. The unexpected gem of this wine bar is the restaurant. Their menu was small but mighty. Nothing phenomenal that’s ever going to get them a James Beard award or even a star rating but totally unexpected and delicious. Also, their cheese platters are A perfect balance of delicious and delicious. This is a great place to go for any occasion, a business meeting, night out with friends or even a first date. Especially a first date! If a guy was smart he would keep Cru in mind anytime he wanted to impress his date.

I really enjoyed the ambiance here. Went for a date and it was seriously the perfect setting. Very intimate, quiet and relaxing. We got two different flights(the sweets and the bubblies). Our waiter was super friendly and eager to answer any questions we had. I even found my new favorite wine after that night. I can’t wait to come back again and try the food and more wine!

Came here after happy hour with 5 friends. We wanted a red wine that wasn’t too fruity but not as dry as a merlot and the waitress helped us with our menu. It was 50% champagne night but we didn’t indulge. One bottle was split between the 6 of us. We ordered a Trivento Malbec Golden Reserve 2013 and it was great! Obviously over priced here but still a great wine to serve, my only complaint. The have flights and single glasses as well. We ordered the chef pick plate and a margarita pizza to share we all left spending just under $ 20. Not bad! I would return for sure. Great atmosphere and friendly people.

Ambience was fitting. Service was alright. Very young wines :(No fault on anyone’s part; I understand when serving flights; younger wines are usually chosen. Fondue was alright.

The bar is cool. The service is rude. The waiter acted as if it was an insult to buy a $ 10 house wine. Lol…

Great wine selections, and dishes to match. I would have rated 5 stars, but there were two key things that prevented that. The host(Mike?) was amazing. He did a fantastic job at giving us fantastic customer service! There was also a gentleman who re-filled the water glasses, and he made sure your glass never needed a refill after a few sips. He was constantly re-filling all glasses. However, the waitress did meet the standard set by the host and other employee filling water glasses. She made no conversation, did not make any wine recommendations to show her knowledge of the menu, she never asked us how our food was, and brought us the check when we weren’t ready. It’s as if the assumption was made that we would not be great tippers(which is the complete opposite of the three of us) We would have purchased more, and I would leave a better review if it wasn’t for our experience with her. The bathroom’s soap dispenser was broken, and you couldn’t help but feel as if since it was broken, causing soap to not be dispensed, that employees were not washing their hands thoroughly(yikes!). This environment is very cozy with its mood lighting, and wine cellar feel. It’s a great place to go after work, and unwind if the service is better. The goat cheese beignet and cheese fondue are must haves! I also recommend the lost in the Andes flight for red wines with a round finish, and very little sweetness.

I don’t expect to get great service on a night when a valentines menu is being served but this was still underwhelming. Our server looked like he had not washed his hair, was rude and inattentive. I would have liked to have tipped the busser on the way out but I didn’t have cash. He was definitely the best part of the service.

Fabulous establishment! The ambiance, the décor it was all so lovely. Perhaps I’m a bit uncultured at 22, but this was the nicest restaurant I’ve ever been to. I had the rose flight. I’m not a big wine person, but the first two on the list were fine for my minimal palate. The last one was a too dry and bitter for me. The mussels were cooked perfectly. I’m usually turned off by them because they can be very gritty, but they were a smooth bite. The crab cake was cooked well, and the cheese fondue — I loved it!

I had a date here and it was the perfect setting for an intimate date. We had one glass of a fruity red and a flight of white wine that we both liked more. Riesling, a moscato, and something else. Sorry I can’t remember the name of these wine. The server was very knowledgable and they also serve food with wine.

Visited a few days before Christmas. Spent a few days in the area Christmas shopping. Visited Cru 2 of the 3 nights we were there. Over the two nights we tasted all of the red wine flights and the bubbles. Tried several plates that we shared. All of the food was excellent. The service and the environment was warm and comfortable. Will be back for sure.

Surprisingly we were able to get a table for two on a Saturday at 7pm with no wait. Service was good, slow at times but overall no complaints. We had a bottle of wine, calamari/shrimp appetizer which was excellent and 2 pizzas(margerhita and salsiccia) which were good. Wine is a little pricey(both in markup and selection) but that is typical of a wine bar. Worth checking out of you if you are in the area.

We selected this location for our celebration of Emily’s graduation from UNT graduate program. Everything about the evening was fabulous and absolutely perfect! The manager, Wayne, the server and bartenders were the best! My daughter was so pleased and all of the guests are still talking to us about the food, wine and atmosphere that was created by the staff. So often we only hear about the negative but there wasn’t anything but positive and fun!

We made our annual Christmas Eve visit(we actually go several more times during the year) before going to church. Service was a little slow to start but got better. Hard to hold a conversation, but that improved once the loud table next to us left. Food was terrific as usual! Will certainly return!

Super place to go. Enormous wine selection, very knowledgeable bartender. Great food to accompany. Love the wine flights — they are just fun to do. The varied-height tables make it a comfortable place to sit and talk.

Great food and Bethany was fantastic! We enjoyed the patio and my husband had the pear pizza, which was awesome and the cru salad was fantastic. We will definitely be back, as this is a very special place to us as we went there on the night we met. Thank you Bethany for making it as special as always!

I really like place and after two times there, have come to realize it’s a perfect spot when I’m in town. They have a great wine selection and a really nice dinner menu. The last time we were there, I had an excellent cab and shared the fig flatbread and the cheese board. Both were absolutely yummy.

The only thing this place has going for them is their friendly hostess staff. Our waiting experience was more pleasant than our actual dining experience. Once we were actually seated at our table, our server didn’t introduce himself, but approached us with«have you decided?», took our order, and then we never saw him again until he placed a dessert menu in front of us. The restaurant wasn’t that busy, and he came by our table a couple of times to look to see if we got our food, but never once actually approached us. The food was okay, the fig pizza tasted lol something I would get from cicis, and is way too small for the price. I could have ordered more food, but was never given the chance considering no one came to quality check any item that was placed on our table. I’m usually pretty understanding about bad service if a restaurant is slammed. But this was just inexcusable. If you want better food and better service, go to Jaspers a couple of doors down.

Service was a bit slow, but not terribly. The food was pretty good, but a bit pricy. However the food was interesting and flavorful! We had the lamb special and fig and Gorgonzola bruschetta, which was a great starter and I would recommend. The environment was a bit noisy, but overall I would return here and suggest to a friend.

Pretty hit or miss. The prices are quite high, the service is generally slow, just… meh. I’ve generally gotten good wine here, they have a good selection. Wish the service backed it up.

I really enjoyed this place. The food was great. I had the calamari, pizza, boneless ribs: they were all amazing. The wine was delicious and served promptly. The service was pretty good as well. I love Mercy Wine Bar and this wine bar appears to be a new contender.

They have wine flights and cool seats outdoors on a pretty day or chill evening. I have tried a few dishes here and just think the food is okay. Where they really shine is with the vino. Cheese platter or light bites would definitely be your best bet. Service has been a bit hit or miss the few times I’ve been there. It’s also a tad pricey for my taste and for the selection that they provide.

I had not been to Cru yet and a girls meet up was my perfect opportunity to try it. It was a cold, slightly rainy Saturday and we had the whole place to ourselves. Our waitress was so knowledgeable and helped this non-sophisticated wine drinker find her perfect fit. We ordered several appetizers and they were delicious! I love food pairings with alcohol and it was such a unique experience I know I’ll be back. I loved how cozy this location felt, how genuinely helpful and professional the staff were, and the taste of everything. I can’t wait to enjoy this location again!

Of the Cru’s in DFW area, the Shops at Legacy one is my favorite. Whenever I stop by, service is quick and friendly. I love getting a flight and grabbing the mussels or fondue to nibble on. It’s such a relaxing environment. I love the lighting, décor, and how you can actually talk to your friends without shouting. I brought my aunt here since she enjoys trying different wines, and she loved it. We were able to get a variety of wines and eats. Whatever I choose to order during my visits, I have enjoyed. The only downside is the desserts are nothing special and are pretty pricey.

Came here with a party of 6 for girls’ night out. Cute space inside, would be great for date night. The patio was packed at 6:30 but there were a handful of tables open inside. Food here is priiiicey. I had eaten prior to arriving, so all I ordered were«goat cheese beignets» — you get 4 of these for $ 9. They were super yummy balls of fried dough full of melty goat cheese, covered in honey. Yum. Keep in mind that this appetizer is probably the cheapest food item on the menu. Wine is also pricey. I had the«sweet and sassy» flight, which was exactly as described. I recommend this if you are a fan of rieslings and moscatos. Light and refreshing. Service was meh. She did her job but wasn’t the friendliest person. Good place for apps and wine.

I didn’t have any food, only wine. Atmosphere: Dimly lit wine cellar-y feel. Trying to invoke the feel of romance or possibly strategically done to make everyone look sexy. Everyone looks sexy in dim lighting. Nice place, quiet enough to have a conversation for the most part… until you get a gaggle of women that have too much champagne and go full blast on the shrieking. Other than that though, the crowd is pretty calm and relaxed. Service: Surprisingly good. I showed up solo waiting for a friend, so I’m pretty sure I looked like a creeper sitting alone at the bar. The manager was nice, service was prompt, and they had no issue transferring my tab once I moved over to a table. We shifted around a couple times once better seats were available and the waitress helping us even helped shift stuff around to make us more comfortable. Tried a few different flights at 10 – 13 bucks a flight. You get three tasters with each flight. Not a bad way to try out a bunch of different wines. Wines per glass ranged from 10 – 15 bucks on average(with some obviously much higher), so I’d say its a little bit more on the pricey side compared to other places where you could get away with 6 – 8 bucks a glass to start. So there you have it. I expected to walk into this place thinking it was snooty and going to be uptight, but I had a decent experience. 3 to 3.5 stars.
