Good tex-mex to go. Decent service, not over the top great or poor. The burritos are HUGE and tasty considering its a fast food place.

Pulled up to the drive through speaker at 11:55pm tonight. The voice said, «Sorry, we’re closed.» I replied, «Why does the wall say 24 hours?» She said, «We’re not 24 hours; corporate has not changed the sign yet. We close at 12:00» I added, «It’s not 12:00.» Her response was«We show 12:00.» In this day and age where everybody is carrying a satellite driven clock finely tuned to GMT, there really should be no discrepancy in time. Furthermore, it seems like closing early would be a trigger pulled after the sign is removed or, at the very least, covered. I will never return and intend on letting everyone I know hear about this poor customer service opportunity.

Speedy drive-through service and always fresh tacos. I always get the classic The original DEL taco because it has Ground beef, lettuce, fresh grated cheese and tomato and I top with hot sauce. Today I did get one classic taco and I tried their new beer batter Fish taco. Not bad I would try again as long as I’m not on a diet because of course, it is fried. Lol… However the crunch from the fresh cabbage and toppings with a double layer of soft white corn tortilla was actually pretty yummy and refreshing. So do yourself a favor… if you want to stop and get a taco but you don’t want to go inside, stop here at the drive-thru …less than three minutes you will have your food.

Im from so. Cal and love this place, when I found it in texas I was so happy, I couldn’t believe they still do taco Tuesday. My favorite thing is the combo buritto, and chicken quesadillas, my son likes the macho combo buritto, with just meat beans and cheese. there tacos are way way better then taco bells, now I wish they would build one closer to me in la porte, deer park, or Pasadena, even kemah around there wouldn’t be bad either.. Any ways this is so much better then taco bell.

The service is always GREAT! Being from So Cal, I’m so glad they brought Del Taco here, and especially so close to my job! I always get the same things — fries and chicken soft tacos. I’ve branched out ever so often and tried something new but nothing is as good as the #5 with fries!

I’m a first time customer. Service is excellent! Got there around 9:30 pm, nice and clean in the inside food was good for the price. Location is in a nice shopping area. Employee’s were very nice. I will be back. I would be nice if they opened up more locations in Plano TX.

Ordered 2 spicy chicken burritos at 2am. Rice was rock hard, not spicy at all, chicken was poor quality(could taste tendons) and overall a disappointment. Was my first time there and will be my last.

Service is excellent! Every time I’ve come, the people are really nice and seem happy to do their job. The food is also very good and they give you a lot for your money.

Food is always cold, fries are either under cooked or over cooked. Never coming here again.

For a fast food place, this place is really nice. The inside is bright and colorful without feeling too much like a giant chain store. The food here is pretty darn good too. It’s infinitely better than the stuff at Taco Bell and Taco Bueno, which is always filled with this horrible, thick grease. The fish looked like fish. The vegetables were very crisp and fresh. I even found a sprig of cilantro. When’s the last time you saw 2 for $ 3 beer battered fish tacos at either of those restaurants? Each fish taco came with a slice of lime too. The strawberry lemonade actually has… strawberries floating in it. I was pretty surprised. There’s a generous variety of sauces to choose from as well. The prices are on par with the Bell and Bueno, but the quality is much better. They also offer a hamburger meal, which was odd. The WIFI is absolutely worthless though, and blocks pretty much every website because it violates their use policy. All message boards are blocked, leaving very little to do.

I’ve never been to Del Taco before but have heard good things. The chili cheese fries were good, and my bf’s barbacoa tacos(on corn tortillas) were yummy. However, my grilled chicken chipotle tacos tasted so lame. Reminiscent of a typical fast-food mexican joint due to its sauce. I’m sure there’s more to Del Taco, but I didn’t love it this time around.

Here’s what I like: Fresh veggies(My favorite part! I love how the lettuce is really crunchy, the tomatoes are wet yet a bit crispy too) Tastes good(of course this is fast food and not«real Tex-Mex», but what I’ve tried tastes better than Taco Bueno/Cabana/Bell, and for being a transplanted California chain their fries are good(unlike the weird fries at INO)) Cheap(cheapest tacos are $.60, take that Taco Bell!) Hot sauce is actually spicy(Taco Bell’s spiciest is more like Taco Bell-O-L) Spicy ketchup! Good variety in the menu(tacos, burgers(yet to try them), fries, chips, breakfast items(served 11pm-11am)) Dining area is neat(overall clean look, kept clean, and they have some designs that look like that Mexican cut-out paper(I forget the name) Drive thru is open 24 hours I’ll keep coming back when I don’t mind the drive for fast food(I live at Preston and Frankford, and there’s a lot of closer fast food of course). The only downside is the service, so far, has been scatterbrained. One time, I dined in and they made a mistake on entering my order, so they had to run my card again to pay for the stuff they didn’t enter. They left the drink or fries or something off of the second charge to make up for the hassle, though most restaurants would just let you have the not-charged-for food rather than to bill you again. Another time, I went there late(after midnight), there weren’t any cars in front of me, and when I pulled up they asked me to wait a bit. That wait was around 10 minutes until they came back to the intercom and were ready for my order. Once I ordered my food came decently quick. I know service at any restaurant is going to be slower at night, but keeping me waiting for the intercom for around 10 minutes is a bit much. I think once they work out the kinks they’ll be more of a contender. Everyone knows what to expect from Taco Bell/Cabana/Bueno, so the new taco fast food restaurant in town needs to leave better impressions on people if they want repeat customers, or they’ll just go once, be disappointed, and return to the old standbys. I can forgive the service for now, but if it doesn’t improve I can’t hold it in as high of regard.

I love this place. I was on a diet but decided to stop in for a bite. I ordered a steak taco carbon and a chicken taco. The carbon was so good I ordered another, ate that then another. Yup I stayed and ordered another plus a macho taco. I thought a macho taco was like a taco supreme from taco bell but it was much much more! This thing was the size of my head loaded with everything! At this point I had been there around 2 hours the manager comes out and says I notice you have been here a while and you seem to enjoy our food. Would you like a churro on the house? Now that is great customer service! I politely declined because I was slipping into a food comma and he said he would make it to go, but the thought of putting one more thing in my tummy made me wanna hurl. I love this place!!!

I ate breakfast here on a weekday morning. This was the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. I was angry for two days because no one ever mentioned to me how incredibly awful this place is. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is due to the fact that they gave me a $ 2 bill. I gave it to our little boy and he was tickled. So thanks for making my boy’s day. Other than that, the food is awful.

* Pros: Large quantity of food for the price * Cons: You uh, get what you pay for… During my Navy days working the night shift, I used to eat at Del Taco on North Island near San Diego all the time. Why? I was on a freakin’ island! It was the only thing open at midnight! That being said, the comparisons between Taco Bell and Del Taco are no exaggeration. The quality is subpar at best. However if you’re broke and starving, they do offer large quantities on the cheap. Oh, and they’ll toss some Ore-Ida crinkle fries in the Fry Daddy for you as well. Can’t get that at Taco Bell. But would you really want to? I’m giving two stars for nostalgia’s sake. …and consistency. The beef was still greasy, the tables were still dirty, and the counter staff still has that blank, dead soul look in their eyes. Enjoy!

I’m from Southern CA so I’ve always been a fan. Order the chicken soft tacos. This is what they’re known for. I never order chicken anything. always beef, but these are awesome. They have some of the best crinkle fries around… fries at a taco joint is weird and awesome. Their deluxe chili cheese fries are awesome… far better than any other cheese fries around. This particular location does a great job on top of my already being a fan of the chain. They overfill their tacos and don’t skimp on ingredients. If I want a beef taco. I’d say that Taco Bell does it better as far as seasoning goes… but since this place has delicious crinkle fries and awesome chicken soft tacos… definitely the better choice overall. Oh…the Del Tacos in Texas have Dr. Pepper instead of Mr. Pibb like all the other ones do. FYI — They just put up a «hiring» sign for«several» new locations in North Dallas coming soon.

The way I taste it, the tacos here are no better than the tacos of Taco Bell; however, the breakfast burritos are a real hit. Stay away from the breakfast biscuits. The scrambled egg that they put on the biscuits are as greasy as they can make them. I probably shouldn’t go to a taco spot ordering a biscuit, but hey, I like to change it up a bit and try different things on their large menu. I do love that this place is open late, so I know I will frequent it for that reason.

As a transplant for CA I was very excited when Del Taco came to Texas. If you need a quick, cheap, delicious taco then this is the place. I always get their 59 cent tacos and they taste way better than Taco Bell. On Tuesdays they have specials which are 3 tacos for $ 1. Not only do they have cheap tacos, but they also have yummy burritos and french fries. This is a great place for a cheap lunch or afternoon snack.
