Don’t waste your money here. This place is a joke. Went here because we liked the 15th Street location. Food is blah! Agreed with other Unilocalers that owners are penny pinchers a as they skimp on everything from noodles to meat in their phở to sprouts/herbs. Their grilled chicken with rice is the thinnest I’ve ever seen. The high reviews are from non-Asians who don’t know what real and great Phở is. You will feel dissatisfied if you come here. I would not eat here even if for free.

I love this place for quick lunch or dinner, it has replaced my fast food drive-thru trips for burgers and tacos… there is so much flavor in this food! Lucky I had a Vietnamese friend to show me around the first trip, but I haven’t gone wrong with anything I’ve ordered. I like that it is quick and casual. The service is usually very prompt and the food is pretty quick. Their kitchen and dining room seem well staffed. Great place to meet with a friend for lunch or dinner. It also appeals to my cheap side, $ 6.50 for a bowl of phở with real slices of beef(brisket & flank is my favorite) or with meatballs. That alone fills me up, even being a pretty big guy, but sometimes I’ll get the large for $ 1 more or an order of the shrimp spring rolls, also good, fresh and not expensive.

Really good broth although pretty darn salty. I don’t know if I’d come back. They scrimp on the meat both in their phở and grilled pork spring rolls. I’d happily pay another .50 or more to get a reasonable amount of meat. It feels like they’re pinching pennies.

I can still taste the stale rice in my mouth, ew. We were shopping at IKEA, and my parents wanted some phở, so naturally I went on Unilocal to find a place. We came here and got seated pretty quickly. Prices looked reasonable, and the place seemed pretty clean, so I was feeling positive about my choice. However, that stopped once the food came out. They do not bring all the food out at once. I finally got my food by the time my dad was almost finished eating. Just ridiculous. My mom wasn’t a fan of her rice noodles. She mentioned that the meat smelled rotten. They also didn’t give enough veggies, after we asked them for some 2 – 3 times. The combination rice plate was such a disappointment. The rice was stale and hard, the egg was rubbery in some parts, the meat was flavorless and dry, and even the tomatoes had an off taste. I was so ready to get out of there. Never been to a phở place that bad, and I’ve been to many.

Only reason I am giving a 2 star is because of somewhat decent food. I have been going here regularly and nothing has really changed. Service has always been less than satisfactory and more than 3 times, I have found gnats in my phở. I would recommend to just come here for a quick eat, nothing more.

Came in for a quick dinner with my family and relatives who were visiting over the holidays. The food was plentiful and very tasty. I had the spicy beef noodles soup and it was really good. The drip coffee was little too strong but overall everything was very tasty and cheap and nothing beats that!

The smell disgusted me right from the start. Smelled like bathroom mixed with bleach. But kids were hungry and wanted noodles, so we just stuck with it. Started eating a spring roll when I found a big piece of ripped up plastic in it. I thought it was rice paper at first, so I was just going to eat it. But then I just wanted to make sure bc it was oddly sticking out in the middle of the roll. Thank goodness I did! See pictures I posted. Completely lost my appetite after that. They apologized, but that’s it. I understand mistakes can happen, but you need to try to make up for it in some way at least. The phở special or deluxe(forgot what it was called) wasn’t good. I had the bangkok seafood noodle soup and that was edible. But the smell kept making me lose my appetite, so I just wanted to get out of there asap. Worst phở experience ever.

Mehhh. Not a place well come to again. Soup, Phở, was OK. The d spring rolls were decent, but pretty flavorless. And the fishsauce tasted like they bought it at at Walmart. The gore’s had the Phở, and were not fans. I had the shrimp spring roll and grilled pork sandwich. I was left feeling line I was back in the 80’s. «Where’s the beef?» I took everything on the inside of the roll, put it on ½ and I still had half the bites with nothing in them. Combine that with the flavorless fishsauce, the lackluster peanut dip for the rolls, and this place was a bust. The only redeeming item was the Thai Tea. It had more flavor than all the dishes combined. That’s why I went with 2, not 1 star

It wasn’t horrible so I won’t give it 3 stars but it could definitely be better. I ordered grilled sliced pork to go and the serving of meat was not a lot at all. Finished it before my rice. They also don’t include soup for to go orders which is a bummer because that’s why I wanted it as well. So just a heads up there. I normally go to the one on Park and have never been disappointed. I was weary on ordering here because of the reviews but you can’t really go wrong with a rice dish. This place is a last case scenario but I most likely would never order phở here.

Great service and the best phở I’ve had since we left Houston. Reasonable price for what you get. We will be back!

Loving all of the bad reviews… MOREFORME! This place has yummy phở! I’ll be back! Had the chicken soup and 2 shrimp spring rolls… and my hubs had the pork and vermicelli bowl that he devoured. It was really good and the service was quick. Not very talkative but that’s ok. The food more than made up for it. :) I’ll be back.

Service is bad here! Asked for a high chair and a guy(nope not a gentleman, but this guy who worked there) just pointed at the stack of high chair and said«look! It’s right there!» Does he not understand his job description as a server? Food was salty… Don’t understand what other reviewers are praising about the food… And my goodness is the place dirty! Had to wipe the tables myself with a napkin and found it to be quite dirty! Even the high chair was sticky! I’ve been a server all through college so I make sure to give good tips, but didn’t leave a tip this time! Nope! Not until they train their servers to actually serve customers and not just be a messenger for the kitchen staffs.

I came here with two co-workers a few days ago, the restaurant was not busy by any means. However, after sitting down at our table, we waited a while before getting menus & water. There is only one waitress working every time we’ve been there. We end up getting two orders of the pork chops(C1) and a special combo(C11). The food comes out after about 15 minutes, we noticed the portion sizes were about half the normal portion sizes, for the past few times we’ve visited, the food quality and quantities have both been steadily declining. My egg roll tasted refried. In addition, I noticed they had forgotten the sauce for my pork chops & egg roll, when I flagged down someone to ask for sauce, they were extremely rude, didn’t apologize or acknowledge my issue. We paid and left feeling disappointed with the food and service. The next day I check my credit card statement online and notice the restaurant had actually charged me $ 2 extra, I knew exactly how much I signed for on the receipt. Luckily, Capital One(my credit card company) helped me charge the amount back to them. I wish I could give this place negative stars, we will NEVER dine here again. Phở Que Huong is a growing/franchising chain. It is true. Some see that as a bad thing. It can be, however, that isn’t the case here. Most of the locations/franchisees are family or distant relatives of the original ownership, and the ownership is very picky about who is in the back making the food, a process which is totally visible to the customer. My spouse and I ordered rare beef phở(not very adventurous, we know) and a few different types of spring rolls. We were pleased with every item, but most pleased with the phở. Great flavor on the broth, with an acceptable amount of fat glistening at the top. The right ratio of noodles to meat, with plenty of fresh basil, cilantro, jalapenos to drown in the hot broth. As is expected, the beef was very thinly sliced, and arrived red and rare. We dropped in our garnishings and enjoyed spring rolls which had arrived first. The fried ones were not overly greasy, and the non-friend ones had good flavor. My only beef was the price of the spring rolls. A little high in my opinion. 4 stars goes for taste of food, speed of service, polite and social staff, and the high-chair they brought for my 10-month old mobile disaster. We loved the phở and the sizes were more than ample. We’ll be back if not regulars at PQH. I plan on getting a T-Shirt next time I’m in.

Fail safe place typically. Similar to most other Vietnamese, phở based kitchens. Seat yourself. Order. Food arrives. Eat. Pay at counter. Take two fortune cookies on the way out. It can get packed during a weekday lunch period. The Phở is good, not great but the broth has flavor. I usually order the S7– Curry chicken noodles. Way better. Its like Phở only with a robust flavor, carrots and chicken. Order it. The eggrolls and spring rolls are nothing special. Just fillers. The small size bowls for the soups are plenty. Especially if you actually drink the broth. I come here from time to time.

Disappointed with takeout. Flat noodle beef curry was very bland. Hardly no meat or onions and basically just unseasoned flat noodles and sprouts.

This place is phở-ntastic. Every time ive been here the food has been great, the service friendly and quick. Not a bad spot if u have a limited amount of time. They have a substantial menu, however i stick to the eggrolls and beef phở, and have yet to be disappointed. As far as price goes i would say its average for what you’ll pay anywhere for any meal, but the portions are bigger. All in all, a nice spot that i plan to keep going to.

My go to Phở place, they may be a chain but their Phở or viet food is pretty good. Price is just right for the amount of food you get. If you are a big fan of lemonade, order their freshly squeezed lemonade — its refreshing!

Don’t bother with anything besides their phở bowls. I’ve made the mistake of ordering their spring rolls, and the wrap was altogether too tough(and consequently too chewy), the substance in the roll was lacking, and the flavor was bland. The only thing that saved them was the peanut sauce. On a separate occasion, I ordered an appetizer of their fried tofu. Equally as unimpressed. Their rice dishes are okay, but the proportions seem a little off. Also, if you get the Lemon-grass chicken(their C2, I believe), it can come out a little tough. As for their phở bowls, I recommend getting their P2(speciality combo) or their P16(meatballs). It’s hard to screw up phở(though entirely possible), and they manage to bring out a solid bowl that won’t break the bank. It’s nothing to write home about, but I like it enough! Their service, however, isn’t great. I asked to move seats because they placed us at a table right in front of the door(there was a draft and it was chilly that day), and they only allowed us to move begrudgingly. The servers also seem to forget what order they should attend to their customers. Several parties that were seated after me had their orders taken before me. To add insult to injury, our food took forever to come out AND they messed up an order. This place is a chain, and there’s a better one down on 15th street and Independence. I recommend going to that one instead. Food = 3 star Service = 2 star Location & Ambience = 3 star

Since I’m vietnamese I have to be critical. The beef phở here is not bad. I’ve had better at other restaurants but it will do. What really irked me was the bo luc lac. In english they called it «black pepper beef» but on the menu when translated to vietnamese it said«bo luc lac». THEVIETNAMESETRANSLATIONISWRONG. This black pepper beef came with a sauce and of course tons of black pepper. The dish was okay but bo luc lac(shaking beef) is cubes of steak and it’s prepared dry with no sauce. Just didn’t like the fact that they tricked me. On the other hand the spring rolls were good. I’ll keep looking for another vietnamese place though.
