We just had a broken spring fixed by Paul S. He deserves a raise. I usually do this kind of stuff myself but winding springs is pretty dangerous. I would say the main thing that had me thinking about doing this job myself was the thought of who’s going to show up and will they treat it like it were their own families house. Paul from Plano Overhead Door did an exceptional job of delivering in all areas. We’ll be calling these guys for anything else we ever need, in large part due to Paul doing such a great job. He was friendly, honest, careful, on-​time, thorough and quick. They also went the extra mile in getting me scheduled on the same day. I had called another place first just because they were high rated as Plano Overhead. This first place I called did not answer. That means they don’t keep people in the office and are probably going to be tough to work with if we ever need them to come back. I’m glad they did not answer. Plano Overhead Door was second on my list because I did not know if they would drive out to Frisco or not. That was no problem for them. If you are getting work done on your garage door CALL PLANO OVERHEAD DOOR. Even a DIY type person like myself is sitting here saying, «that was worth every penny».

I banged up my garage door track and called this company. They told me somebody would be out in an hour to evaluate the situation, and the person showed up exactly on time. He was able to repair the track and taught me several things in the process. He also fixed a couple of other issues with the door that I had not previously noticed. Great experience, highly recommended.

Excellent service! I’ve had to use their services twice and both times they were extremely courteous and prompt. The first time was a small repair, Will came out and fixed the chain track and serviced the spring (this made a huge difference, reduced noise quite a lot). The garage door operated smoothly for over a year until the motor went out, that’s when I had to call them a second time. John came out and diagnosed the problem (for free! they don’t charge a service call fee) and sure enough the capacitor went bad. After discussing my options I decided to replace the entire unit and John had it all installed and working in less than two hours, amazing! They’ve gained a customer and referrals for life.

Very pleased by the service from Plano Overhead Garage Door. They were very prompt, courteous and efficient. My door was a mess with twisted and torn metal parts. Other less scrupulous services would have urged a new installation but these guys did not and fixed it good as new within an hour. They have won my future business.

Our garage door quit working on Sunday and we called the Plano Overheard Company on Monday as soon as they opened. They were here within an hour and had the garage door fixed within 45 minutes. Their price was reasonable and the service was great. I would highly recommend them.

Finally replaced a 50-​year old garage door and couldn’t be happier. Over a garage door, you say? While it certainly is not the most exciting home upgrade, the experience and value delivered by POGD was outstanding from beginning of the process to the end.
I shopped four providers and was surprised by the range on the recommendations on what needed to be done and the costs.
One provider gave me an itemized list of 10+ items and a price tag of $ 2400. Another with a single item and a price tag of $ 2200. The third came back around $ 1800, but the sales guy didn’t seem too straightforward.
On top of the outstanding $ 1600 price tag, POGD replaced my old door was replaced with a custom one in less than three hours. Might have been right at two. Installers were professional and courteous and seemed to really enjoy their jobs, which is really refreshing.

My garage door springs died last night with my cars inside… plano overhead door returned my call promptly, scheduled an appointment for noon today. They said that they’d call if they could get here earlier. It’s now 10am. I have. Working garage door.
My repair technician Reese was polite, informative and had this fixed in less than an hour. Thank you for your quick service. I will certainly use you again.

Man, talks about quick appointment and quick service. I called POGD around 10:30 a.m.and the dispatcher said was able to have some out between 4 & 5. She indicated they would call when headed my way. The technician, Paul Sigsbee, called me around 2:30 and said he could come now if I was available. Paul showed up, I showed him where the trouble was and he went right to work. He made the repairs and also replaced one of the rollers (under warranty). Paul was quick, efficient and very knowledgeable. He indicated he had been with POGD for 10 years. He completed all the repairs and was gone by 3:30. $ 30 for the non-​warranted parts and $ 55 for the service call. $ 85 later and the garage door is working very well again. I highly recommend them for sales and service.

We called up these folks based on the Unilocal ratings and thought they did a great job explaining what the issues were with our garage door and how we might want to consider getting one of our doors replaced because the motor could give out at some point in the near future. We’ll call them when it’s time for us to replace our garage door opener.

We needed to put in a new garage door motor. Having using POGD for years, this time is no exception. As usual, the technician was here on time. Finished the job faster than promised. Everything runs smooth and quiet now. Kane did an awesome job explaining how to operate the new system. Very patient and professional. The mobile app he recommended us to install worked magic! Now I no longer need to worry if I have closed my garage door when I’m out and about. With the WiFi feature, I can monitor it anywhere I go. I’d give 6 stars if I can :)

Just finished talking to Barbara about my
Garage door. Very friendly and in fact, first question she asked was what was the door doing or not doing. I told her and she suggested I
Adjust the detectors which I thought we had done,
But I did and presto… Worked! So, I called them back. Told another associate what Barbara had suggested, cancelled the appt, and said the least I can do is right a positive review for you guys!

This morning on the way to take my son to school, the spring on the garage door broke! I couldn’t remember what company replaced it before, but I got lucky and picked the right one. I called just after 8 and they were able to send out a tech by 10:30. Kane did a great and quick job replacing the spring, which was under a lifetime warranty we didn’t know about. I will make sure to recommend this company to others because of their service and quality.

What a great company! What great employees! This is the 2^nd time I’ve needed them and they’ve come to the rescue again!
Will came in a hurry Friday afternoon and by Monday morning he and his colleague, Joel, had installed my new, insulated, garage door and opener.
Their phone reps are also helpful… Barbara has helped me twice and the first rep I spoke with on Friday was great too, but I don’t recall her name… I’m sorry.
Very knowledgable and friendly folks at this company and I highly recommend them.

We have been using their services for many years. Including replacing the original garage door which lasted from 1998 – 2012. It was a contractor special which finally wore out. Replacement door has worked fine and we get annual checkups to keep it working. Sign up for their annual reminder notice and you get a good discount on the service call. Repair guy shows up on time and is friendly and courteous.

Great service only wished I had called them 2 years ago and wouldn’t have had the bad experience with Welborn. Few months ago called O’Brien for just service, their guy was pleasant and did a fair job but I still had the noisy rattling when garage door closes. As it turned out he was college student, part timer I guess. Called O’Brien sent another full time tech out today and recommended replacing the metal rollers with nylon rollers and replacing the whole unit, $ 350!!. And their quote was $ 175 installed for replacing rollers and I knew that was pricey for nylon rollers!!!
Neighbor had used Plano Overhead Garage Door, so pleased with the job they did. Called them and gave me an excellent price of $ 124 parts and labor to replace metal rollers with Nylon Rollers incl lube and grease the whole unit. Excellent work and their tech guy Reese was so knowledgable, a full time employee, not part timer. And didn’t try to sell me a new motor just because it was noisy, like O’Brien did. Replacing with Nylon Rollers was the best solution and fixed the noise problem. Thank u PLANO OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR. job well done!

My 35 year old garage door finally had to get replaced. Surprised it lasted that long! I called a few other companies got quotes over the phone, called Plano Overhead Garage Door and had a estimate done in person the next morning. They weren’t the cheapest but they were on time and efficient with installing a new quiet, insulated 16′ door. Their competitors only offered 10 yr warranty at best whereas POGD offered a Lifetime warranty. The handwritten thank you card was also a nice touch!

We’ve had nothing but great experiences with Plano Overhead Garage Door. After a serious mistake asking a not-​as-​well-​known company install a garage door opener, we called Plano Overhead to help us when the unit started having problems. They twice repaired a unit that they didn’t install and charged us just for a service call.
When the cruddy unit broke down *again*, we called and asked Plano Overhead to replace the unit. Kane came out and quickly worked with my husband to get a new, fantastic unit installed. The new unit is quiet, more powerful and doesn’t come equipped with the part that plagued us for the past 5 years in our old unit.
Even better, Kane listened to our requests for increased safety features (I’d just attended a home safety seminar hosted by our local police department). Out went our car-​based remote controls and in were keychain based remote controls. He also helped us select a wifi unit that allowed us to install an app for controlling the unit. The app even notifies us when the doors are opened when we aren’t at home. Love it!
The control pad inside the garage is pretty awesome too. It turns on the unit light when the door into the garage opens — no more fiddling around for the light switch. It also tells us the temp in the garage and we can turn on an override to lock out anyone from opening the garage from the outside when we’re home for the day. Talk about peace of mind.
We had all of that done, in just a couple of hours, for less than $ 600 (August 2015 pricing). We’re very satisfied with the service we received and based on previous experience know that we’ll have excellent service if we need any repairs in the future.

Excellent company to work with! Prices were comparable to others I researched but had a better selection for us. Very impressed with our installer Kane. He came out to review our needs and offered some suggestions on some options which turned out to be great. He actually did the install and was quite professional and personable. Installed and trained us to my satisfaction. Left no doubt that if anything was needed to call for help. Product is outstanding and the neighbors are quite impressed. Best garage door in the neighborhood hands down.

Plano Overhead was a great pleasure to work with. Knowing when I moved in that I would need to replace my garage sometime, y garage forced my hand. My spring broke on the middle of the night on a Saturday night, luckily with my whole car inside. I was able to call Plano Overhead and they responded quickly the next day they opened. They were able to then get a tech out immediately that morning.
He was courteous and gave me the facts of what needs to be done. Afterwards be installed garage in less than 4 hours and we were back up and running.
We love the fact of the warranty that comes with the garage and that it is a local business.

Highly recommend this company! The most professional garage door company I’ve ever encountered. To me the greatest evidence of a true professional is somebody that finds substandard work left by previous contractors and repairs them without disparaging any person or company. That is professionalism.
Nothing regarding garage doors or home repairs seems to be cheap, but it’s nice to know that when you pay you’re getting your money’s worth. Jason arrived when scheduled and called ahead of time to confirm the time was still satisfactory for my schedule.
He was courteous, intelligent, and took as much time as required to answer my questions. He repaired things that were not part of the problem to proactively address future issues.
