Decent place to grab a quick bite of food. We came here the other day for their lunch buffet and I really enjoyed it. They had a large variety of food and it seemed reasonably priced. I loved their Chicken 65 — it’s a dry spicy dish of chicken cubes. Definitely try it with the naan and raita. The contrast is great! The other dishes were great although I wish they would have more non-vegetarian dishes. The place was entirely empty when we came in so it seemed a little lonely. Other than that, decent spot for a quick bite. Super convenient if you’re going shopping and want to go out to eat either before you start or after you leave.

I almost never review any place I visit, but my experience at this place was so beyond horrific! My husband and I ordered from this place as it is very close to where we stay. Both of us were down with the flu and wanted to have some south indian food. We paid for delivery and waited for almost 2hrs. I tried calling up the restaurant and spoke to several people who had no idea what was going on! I paid over $ 10 for delivery and had the worst time ever speaking to the lady. This lady priya, was utterly rude, dismissive and ended up taking no responsibility for the delay! She hung up the phone saying she«doesn’t need our business and we cancel but wont receive any refunds. I just spent $ 40 ordering food and ended up waiting for 2 hrs. at the end, there was no sign of food, no one had any idea what was going on and were treated like dirt. pitiful, shameful and disgusting!

I have attended the restaurant twice, once with a group of 22, and the second on a date. The time it takes to prepare the food is long, but it is worth it. Their lunch buffet is also of high quality and is definetly worth the price. I would recommend this to my friends and colleagues.

I have ordered food twice from ruchi’s place and have been very satisfied so far. I ordered lamb massala(spicy) for myself and butter chicken(not spicy) for kids along with Garlic and plain naans and everything was great. Next time i ordered lamb rogan josh(spicy) and chicken tikka massala(not spicy) for kids along with Garlic and plain naans and food was awesome. The food was fresh, aromatic, and made with genuine spices. the meat was soft and tender and the curry was very smooth and aromatic. I highly recommend this place.

Like Aanchal, my family and I went to Ruchi Palace for dinner only to be greeted by a completely empty restaurant. There were no servers in sight, which is odd especially for a Saturday night. There was one small family tucked away at a corner table, but you wouldn’t be able to notice them right away. My family and I stood there at the front waiting and waiting for someone to greet us or seat us or even acknowledge our existence. After an awkward 15 mins of standing around and yelling hello, we finally left and took our business to another indian restaurant just a few lights down and we got impeccable and attentive service there. We were really excited to dine at Ruchi and we’re pleased with the décor but we felt extremely awkward and unwelcome at their establishment since no employees were in sight despite the bright«open» sign in the window.

FOREVER say NEVER !!! Having walked in on a Friday night… The place seemed close, even with a bright«OPEN» neon light flickering. Not a soul in sight inside the restaurant. which should’ve been my first clue. Nevertheless we sat down for what can only be described as an abysmal experience. The people running this place have no clue of flavors… presentation or even their menu. Starving, we ordered what read as «tandoori paneer tikka» which to my surprise and the owners proud explanation was cut up raw cubes in red ketchup sauce. I asked for onion salad with my entrée… And lo behold, I was treated to some white onion shreds, which undoubtedly smelled and tasted funny. !!! Well… a lesson learnt for $ 30 below average food… NEVERAGAIN!!!

Tried this through grub hub even though reviews not so great. I am glad I don’t put a lot into reviews. My fiancé and I had the chicken tandoori and the tandoori mixed grill. Spicy and very good. The fish in the mixed grill was my favorite. Didn’t care to much for the sausage… Was kind of dry. This will be our favorite delivery place. Oh and left overs next day smelled so good and tasted good too. Even better the 2nd day. All my co workers kept asking me where I got it. 4 out of 5 because we only tried 2 dishes. Will be ordering the tikki next time!

This complaint is one that I have for lots of the Indian restaurants in our area. Unexpected BONES! I expect bones in certain dishes such as goat, but we should not be finding sharp, small, dangerous shards of bones in dishes such as Butter Chicken. I don’t know what the cause is, and again I’ve experienced this at several Indian restaurants in the area. Maybe they use a common butcher? Regardless, it’s a hazard!

Delivery took an hour and forty minutes. Way over the GrubHub estimate. The palak paneer was pretty bland and needed more seasoning. The chicken tikka masala was decent though. Butter naan was good.

Food taste really good and good enough spices. Maybe it’s to authentic for the people that did the review. Will come back here often for lunch.

Will suffice for when I can’t head to a more prominent location way on down south of them a ways. Chicken Tikki Masala is decent and I like that the sauce isn’t runny or gritty like many places. Good service and never a wait.

Yes I read the reviews but came anyway because the other Indian restaurant was closed. I had Lamb Rogan Josh. Well the rice was good. Lamb over cooked and the sauce more like a spicy Italian sauce. The thing that got me was when I saw one of the staff clear a table using only a napkin to wipe the food from the table into his hand and flick any remaining debris onto the floor. Not a wet soapy cloth in sight. He then laid the table. This made me worry a bit about the hygiene here.

The individuals that run this restaurant are very unprofessional. The restaurant is unkept and messy(it could be nice if they maintained it better). The food is okay but if you order take out they are very stingy with the Naan bread. If your looking for good service look elsewhere.

We used to be regulars at Ruchi in Carrollton until the quality of their food went down the drain. My kids and I were planning on eating somewhere in the neighborhood but when we saw Ruchi, we decided to stop there for lunch instead. The buffet selection was ok. The meat selection was good but the vegetarian section was limited. The décor is very nice. The thing that bothered me was that we were charged for 2 adults and a kid. I told them that my oldest child is only 9 but apparently it’s old enough to be charged as adult, which is a hair under $ 10. :/ I guess it’s my own fault for not asking ahead of time… Ridiculous, we won’t be back, the food does not warrant it.

Used to be Café Mykonos. They kept all the décor that Café Mykonos had. I am writing my review based on the weekend buffet. I thought the food was amazing. We went two days in a row because my husband and I couldn’t get enough. I had chicken 65, goat vindaloo, chicken tikka, chicken tikka masala, dal fry, lemon rice, tindora fry, mirchi salan, dum biryani, vegetable manchurian, chole and bhatura and I can’t really say one bad thing bad about the food. Everything I had was great. The gajjar halwa was amazing. I would definitely go back again.

Inconsistent, will update after a couple of more visits. I have been to Ruchi Carrolton for both lunch buffet and dinner and I will rate it 10 * if I could. But the Plano one, I have doubts. I have been there 3 times so far to Ruchi, Plano — 2 times for dinner and it was very good and once for Lunch buffet — the lunch buffet was such a big disappointment that I felt like I do not want to go there again.
