Ironically the one-star is because I love Snappy Salads rather than the inverse. But having been a long-term patron of the Greenville location and recently the Preston-Belt Line location, there’s something definitively off about the West Plano location. Consistently, none of the salad bowls at the West Plano store gets cleared(see picture). I’ve sat at the place for 30 minutes, and I have not seen one tray cleared by any of the employees… and to find a spot to eat, you literally have to clear a space by pushing down trays & bowls down the long tables. I’ve encountered this on numerous visits to the West Plano location, so this experience is really not an outlier. But today(as I’m writing this post-meal), it was a tipping point, because the dining experience was just unbearably unpleasant(having seen the area near the soda fountains, the lemon container, etc). Observing the mess in the«front of the house» makes you imagine the potential mess and cleanliness in the kitchen — which is pertinent given that the ingredients in a salad are predominantly uncooked. Let me be clear that this is not the case at Snappy’s other locations; the West Plano store may just be an outlier. I’ll also say that having personally observed the proprietor(Chris Dahlander) of Snappy Salads diligently clean and clear tables at the Greenville location, I’m almost certain he would not stand for this if he were on-site. So let this one-star just be a waiving-of-the-flag for requested improvement, with my full intent to remove upon redress(operationally, not personally). Thanks, Concerned Snappeople

Just tried this place for the first(and last) time. Placed an online pickup order for 11:30, showed up and it had not been made!!! Waited for FIFTEENMINUTES while I watched the walk-in line fly past me. Not sure what the point of offering this option is when in reality it wastes more time than just walking in! Also my full size was NOT full at all, what a waste of $ 15 — I feel like I got ripped off bigtime.

Food is okay but a small salad for $ 12? That has to be a cruel joke. I can go to Walmart a block away and make the same salad for half the price.

First time there last week… food was excellent! If you are looking for a great salad that is very fresh, I would say give it a try. Seating is limited so be there early for lunch.

I love this place! Have one near my job so I already knew what to expect. The customer service is great only thing they need are more Clean tables when dining in. Fresh salads and nice selection

Sorry snappys … Salata across the street has taken me away from you. Due to the monthly staff turn around, smaller portions, ruder staff, and just overall unsatisfactory changes you’ve made. Please step it up or I may never return… And I’m a daily customer(literally).

We just left Snappy salads, after the 3rd disappointing trip in a row. We used to come here about twice a week, we live about 25 minutes away, but we would make special trips. The food was always great, but the last couple times the salad has been filled with big chunks that they apparently forgot to cut up, and they have pretty much been out of everything else. Beware when you ask for something that they have run out of, they will not tell you, but rather try to make you change your mind. When you finally tell them you want what you ordered they sill scream«We’re out of that» no apology, nothing. I’ve worked in the food industry, I know it sucks to tell customers you’re out of something they want, but just do it and let’s move on, dont try to trick them into getting something they don’t want. They also completely made my fiancé the wrong salad because the girl wasn’t paying attention to what we were saying. Don’t expect a smile, and don’t expect your food to be made correctly. I’m really not hard to please, I will rarely send back food or even say if there is a problem, but why would anyone go back to a place like this? We certainly won’t.

I love this place. The service is great. The staff makes recommendations, if you’re open to them, which make the salads even tastier. The salads are delicious and filling. The selections are fresh even near closing. This location is right off the tollway. Go now and try the Bam-Bam(no quinoa for me) and add grapes. Simply delicious!

The crispy artichoke salad is pretty good. I only wish it came with more artichokes. They’re delicious, but small. My husband got the buffalo chicken salad, and it barely had any chicken. Larger servings of the main meat or vegetable in the salads would be much appreciated. Also, the wait time for the crispy artichokes and chicken was long considering it wasn’t busy at all. Service could use some improvement, it was clear the employees didn’t want to be there and were just going through the motions.

Delicious salads, tons of fresh toppings and great dressings. Huge portions! A little on the pricey side, but I always leave full. And they have great soups! Friendly employees too.

Really liked Snappy Salads! It’s like the love child of Chipotle and Souper Salad… head down the line and tell them how to build your perfect salad. Or opt for one of their suggested blends. Either way you can’t go wrong. I had the grilled avocado salad — very tasty. I would have liked slightly less dressing because I prefer a lighter touch with dressing so I can enjoy the vegetable flavor on its own. FYI — The half snap size is more than large enough for one person.

Wow. They take salads to a whole new level… of naughty! Don’t get me wrong, you can be healthy here, but it’s kind of hard when they have all these amazing ingredients for toppings! I usually abstain from the debauchery, but once in a while I go full blown bacon bliss.

Let’s face it, salads can get boring. But Snappy Salads has found a way to make them exciting and delicious again with locally sourced and fresh ingredients. Their slogan«so good even guys like our salads» is no joke. Even my fiancé craves their Bam Bam Salad(which is by far the best thing on their menu). I also enjoy the Fried Artichoke salad which seems healthy with just a touch of naughty fried goodness on top. No matter what you order here you’re sure to enjoy every last bite. My only gripe about Snappy Salads is their paper straws. I know we’re trying to save the environment and all but there is just something really odd about sipping tea through paper. They do catering(which I’ve personally experienced) and the girl who does it is super sweet and accomodating. Also, you can order your salad online and skip the lunch hour rush by picking it up at the side register which I’ve done before as well. All around 5 stars! It goes without saying that I’ll be be coming back as often as I possibly can.

Great service and great food! The grilled avocado salad is delicious and the grilled corn tops it off perfectly. The manager was very helpful and the employees were very mindful to my wife’s food allergy. Another plus is the large options they have in terms of dressings. They have something for everyone and each one is unique and very flavorful. All of the greens were perfect, nothing wilted, or dying which is very important when you want a crispy salad. The prices here are a little higher but they really deliver with quality so it feels and tastes worth it. I will definitely be back to Snappy’s and I have already recommended it to coworkers and friends.

I’ve been to Salata before and heard folks talk about Snappy Salads, so I finally decided to give it a try. What a disappointment. As opposed to Salata where you can get unlimited ingredients, Snappy has pre-configured salad options, in addition to a ‘create your own,’ which only includes a fixed number of ingredients. The salads didn’t look appetizing to me, so I ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Wrap. This was designated ‘customer favorite’ on the menu, so figured it’d be a safe choice. A few issues: 1) employee pulled the wrap out of a cooler(pre-made). Kind of surprising, as I thought it’d be like Salata where they make the wrap in front of you fresh. 2) employee asked if I wanted potato chips? I said no, it says on the menu it comes with chips and salsa, so that’s what I want. Not sure why that wasn’t just assumed? When I see the container, it had a bunch of tortilla chip scraps in it vs. whole chips — very stingy with this so called ‘side of chips and salsa’ 3) employee at the register started putting everything into a to-go bag, even though I planned to dine-in and never once was asked whether I want it as dine-in or to-go. Had to politely say this was dine-in. 4) tons of empty bowls and trash at the tables waiting to be bussed 5) similar to torchy’s, they have some kind of local soda offering vs. coca-cola products. Would prefer just standard coca-cola fountain options 6) pre-made wrap did not taste fresh at all. It tasted almost identical to the«southwest chicken wrap» in the quiktrip pre-made section, only Snappy Salad charged twice as much Overall, I think these ‘fad’ salad places are really overrated in general. The ones that are filling are almost as unhealthy as other dining options by the time you add all the cheeses dressings, etc. Salata just opened up across the Tollway, and next time I do want this type of food, I will definitely go to Salata. It seems fresher, better value, and the food line is cleaner and more organized.

I came in when they weren’t busy. The manager was very nice and helpful. He explained how to order and gave recommendations. I got the grilled avocado and asked for a few substitutions due to allergies. He was very accommodating. The grilled avocado was SO good. I’ll probably add that to every salad I get here. The prices are a bit high for a salad. But there are a few salads that I’d like to try here so I’ll definitely be back!

My first time trying this place. I just ordered a soup to go and my friend got a Grilled Avocado salad. She thought the salad was pretty good just a little too much dressing until she found a fly in it. Wow. That’s disgusting. Lost all appetite.

Great, fresh salads. I’ve had several and they are all good. You can choose the menu items or build your own. Yes, the Grilled Avocado is excellent. It is VERY pricey so you can’t go often, so that costs them a star. The Plano location loses another star for service. Nearly every time I go in, they are more interested in talking among themselves instead of taking care of customers. They are so busy«chatting or gossiping» they can’t start the grill part of your order when first asked so you end up waiting for your food. They need some mature supervision and that is not about age, but about professionalism.

I’m rating this based off of one visit, but it was wonderful. Best part: pets allowed on the patio! So I was on a mid-morning walk with my dog and decided to stop by this place. I was there an hour before opening and they let me sit on the patio with my dog until they opened. When they opened they brought my order outside to me instead of having me go inside to handle it since I had my dog with me outside. I had the buffalo chicken salad, it was good. The chicken could’ve been better and a bit more buffalo flavor. I added grilled avocado, that was a pleasant treat. I’ve never had an avocado warm like that. I’d like to come here again and try some other salads. I got the half portion, it was enough, but I could’ve gotten a full size and maybe had a side salad portion leftover.

Clever marketing — great menu options — staff was quick with a huge line. Great spot to bring in clients or come for a quick lunch.
