Steak ‘n Shake

Staff seems like they «have» to help, not want to help. Food just sits on the shelf ready to be delivered to the table with flies all around it. Didn’t see this till after we ate.

Spent 10 minutes to get an order, spent 30 minutes to get water, spent 20 more minutes waiting tor food, and there was still more missing.

Customer service was terrible! Waited over 25 minutes for tap water and the restaurant was filthy all over!

Waited 30 minutes to get chlorine like water.
Worst customer service… It’s ridiculous how long it takes to get our food.

Just had a horrible experience at this location. First, I am in a wheelchair and had difficulty getting up to the table where family from out of town was waiting. The manager did remove a chair for me. Then the fun began. Our server took our orders and returned more than once to ask questions about the order. I asked that my burger be cut in half because I can’t eat a whole burger. Once, the manager walked by and bumped my wheelchair pretty hard and never said a word. Four times, our server did the same thing. I said something to the server and he did apologize several times. My husband got up and said something to the manager. Her only comment was that she could move a chair. I can understand bumping someone, but can’t you just apologize? I just had surgery four days ago and have drains that are very painful, especially when bumped. There was enough room for them to get by without even touching my chair. I believe they were just in a hurry.

I was sitting there for over 30 minutes and the workers were only walking around not offering any help. Worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. Don’t go there!!!

Worst customer service, we sat their for 30 minutes and they still did not take our order.
We went to look around and the workers were just sitting in the back.

My boyfriend and I have been coming to this Steak ‘n Shake for 5 years now and unfortunately has become progressively worse (to us) service is very slow and it upsets us because we LOVE the steak burgers and the chocolate banana shakes!

Worst service ever! We came in and noticed lots of angry customers leaving without eating there. Sat down and waited to get our order but they never came and didn’t even bother. Then we notice another group came in and they get their order right away. So we just leftand will never visit this place ever again.

Marian is our favorite waitress! Breakfast here is much better than ihop and you don’t have to ever wait in line. I highly recommend giving it a try. Make sure you ask for Marian on the weekends!

I’ve been here probably more than fifty times. Every single time I have ordered the patty melt. It’s very delicious. I don’t know about other stuff they make, but they make the best patty melt.

My husband and I went in on a busy Friday night, we had only been 2 times. I ordered a shake that I didn’t like and they charge me. we will definitely go back. .love the $ 4 menu

I couldn’t of been more happy to be in the s&s drive thru. When it was my colleagues turn to order he decided to ask for a Spoke to drink (sprite and coke). I was disappointed when the sassy woman of color had to ask what that mean 5 times. I don’t know if it is a problem with the speaker or if she simply isn’t qualified for her job. either way it has resulted in the reduction of 3 stars for s&s.
Chapter 2:
i am disappointed to report that despite the wonderful retro vibes that I received from my first step in the restaurant vanished almost immediately due to horrendous service. after the Orange woman took our orders she didn’t even have the decency to welcome me after I thanked her and on top of that left our menus after we had ordered. not even the classic jukebox tunes could revive my hope in this terrible restaurant. if that wasn’t bad enough, as the Orange fry cook applied my mustard he decided to empty the full bottle onto my burg. consuming the burger was one of the most agonizing experiences of my life and it has ruined my faith in the restaurant industry.

Worst service I ever had in my life. We wait decades for our shit. I’m going to McDonald’s

Gawd dayum! This place has gone downhill! Third time here (lately) and every time it’s been a disaster. Waited forever to be seated. THENNNN waitress helps two new tables and we still haven’t even put in our drink order. Justtttt walked out. Time before waiter loses our order we wait an hour only to be told oops I can’t find your order let me take your order again andddd it was wrong when it came out. They comp my food but geez!!! Today was the last straw. I was regular here but you lost me today. I am sooooo done with bad customer service.

Seems like people only come on here to complain. This location is very clean and my family and I had an awesome experience. Never go wrong with the Frisco melt!

Disgusting. My cheese i had wasn’t cheese it all stuck together and congealed.
Service was good enough. It was just slow because the cook kept getting the orders wrong.

I looooove Steak n’ shake, but this location was alright, not the worst, but not the best either.
Experience: The location is very convenient, it’s right next to 75 and it opens really late (which is a big plus) the place a nice and tidy, small and easy to manage. I would not recommend coming here for large groups. mainly because the system is hard to make sure that everyone gets their food, and that everyone pays separately.
Food: the food was good. I had the Prince of royale burger (always good) and they have these new seasoning on the fries called Cajun and I was curious to try. I generally get the parmesan seasoned fries it’s always tasted the best to me. When I tried the Cajun seasoning nothing was really outstanding to me. It tasted almost like the seasoning that they already provide plus a little bit more of paprika, chili powder and oregano. However, the salt content was lacking so I had to add a little salt to my fries. The burger was good. I also shared a Strawberry and Banana milkshake with my friend (they are so cute!!) I would recommend getting their specialty milkshakes, as wells at their milkshakes made with fresh banana.
Service: The lady who served us had a bit of an attitude towards our group. She was really nice to me, but to the rest of my group she was very impatient and had the tendency to ignore us. you can tell she was busy, so maybe the management needs more employees? She never came to refill our water, and we were all trying to get her attention all the time. She did however come check on us a few times.
Overall, I love steak n shake and I would recommend this location and maybe bring your own water lol.

Great location! My friends and I stopped by after catching a late movie at the nearby Cinemark and we where hungry.
It took a while to seat us since there where only two people working but they got to us. The server was great, very funny and our food arrived very timely.
$ 4 garlic steak burger: good, if you love garlic (like me) this is the burger for you. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was a ton of salt in the powder that was sprinkled on-​top of the bun was extremely salty… Other than that the burger was great.
Birthday cake shake: delicious as always, vanilla ice cream blended with chunk is birthday cake topped with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry.

didn’t even know this place was a dine-​in lol always thought it’s just another fast food place. Wifey suggested it b/​c we were hungry and we saw one on the way home from the mall. upon walking in I was checking out everything it looks like a 60s diner which was cool and retro looking they actually have waiters who takes the order and bring you the food… I got a double cheese burger w/​vanilla shake and the wifey got a single meat burger =) we demolished both within 30 minutes and sat and chat and hungout as we shared/​finished up the malty shake which was yum!
a solid 3 stars 4^th star given b/​c of the shake that was awesome… as for their burger was just normal level I’d say Fudge Rucker is prob. fresher or twisted roots? but we enjoyed our meal our service was good so a 4 stars experience for Steak ‘n Shake!
