T C Shaved Ice

Snowcones are awesome. Their corn is also pretty good for the boiled kind. They are very generous with the condiments. I order mine without the Valentina.

This review is based solely on the elote, not the best in plano but not the worst. Spice was lacking and they use mayonnaise instead of crema. The other downside to TC is they are cash only which is a bummer on a hot day when a shaved ice would be great then you realize you only have plastic in your wallet.

Delicious is all I need to really say.

The best shaved ice in D/​FW. The best. I have to drive past a dozen other «snow cone» joints to get here but it’s always worth it. Yes, there’s a wait because magic takes time but the prices are way lower than most of their competitors and their product is superior. Never stingy with the syrup, always the perfect consistency, and the best way to survive August (or April) in Texas. Go there now.

Waited 10+ min for someone to come and help at their walk up window and they were to busy helping people in the drive thru line that they never bothered even opening the window to help me. Not even to tell me that they would be with me in a few minutes. Since their drive thru was more important to them then their walk up customers we left without being helped. I won’t be visiting this place anytime soon!

Big fan of corn in a cup. I live in Allen and think this is as good as the corn you can get in Dallas. Knockouts are a big hit in the family too! Best hole in the wall for snacks you can find. Delicious. Bring cash.

I’ve been coming here for years and after moving away and coming back, I forgot what I was missing. They are cheap and huge snow comes with lots of syrup usually.
Recently I discovered their elotes and they are so sooo good! In fact, I haven’t gotten a shaved ice the past few times I went! Delicious.

I love TC’s. I have been coming here since I was a teenager. The wait is crazy, I would always recommend walking up to the window. It’s a lot faster. Tons of flavors to choose from and the ‘knockout’ with ice cream on top and bottom of the shaved ice is amazing. Always order extra syrup, the. You get juicy flavored ice with every bite. They started charging tax, which they never did, but I’m ok with it. Inflation right?

Hey so shaved ice in the summer is great especially in the hot Texas heat. I’ve been here twice and on my first visit I got a watermelon shaved ice. The ice was so fine like snow I practically drank half of it. Recently I came to try their elote and nacho both cost less than $ 3. The nacho wasn’t good too salty, I gulped down ½ gallon of water after eating a tenth of the plate. The elote was good! The corn and other ingredients that went into it created a nice taste. The elote is served warm and consists mostly of corn and cheese. Just to warn those going on the weekend, you might have to wait in a line of cars. Otherwise standing outside and ordering at the front is another option. I will definitely come back for another pick at the shaved ice.

We were looking for a run-​of-​the-​mill snocone place near Allen. The reviews looked promising for this place. Overall, you can get a decent snocone here. We subtracted two stars for the following:
–1: The wait. We only had two cars in front of us and no walk-​ups, but we were in line for 20 minutes. Just a little slow for my tastes.
–1: Lack of syrup. I would say this was simply a preference point, but I’m pretty sure everyone would at a minimum like syrup throughout all of the ice. We got smalls, and both my wife and I were missing syrup in the middle. And I mean literally no syrup. Just a block of plain ice from the edge of the cup to about halfway down the cup.
Would have subtracted one more star for the following points, but I can’t give two stars for something I completely finished:
— They add tax to the prices. I know this is a minor complaint, but in 30 years of eating snocones, I can’t remember ever paying anything other than the listed price. Minor complaint, but there’s something comforting about seeing $ 2 and actually paying $ 2.
— The ice isn’t very consistent. Some of it was very smooth. Some of it not so much. My wife actually had four marble-​sized chunks in hers.
Again, you can get a pretty standard snocone here; however, we’ll probably continue our search.

I love going to TC Shaved Ice. It’s in my barrio so I can’t go wrong. They have ton’s of flavors and is not like St. Louis shaved ice where you run out of flavor/​juice and left with dilluted ice. They give you a lot of flavor/​juice per the amount of ice so it’s good til the end. The ice consitency is usually very smooth like a soft serve ice. I’m a big fan of the magonadas. Just remember to bring cash they don’t take cards!

I love this place! The flavors and options they have are really good. The ice is real refreshing. There are endless amounts of combination of flavors. I go here almost everyday in the summer!

In a hot Texas summer, there aren’t many treats that are better than shaved ice.
And we think the best shaved ice of all comes from TC’s Shaved Ice, a true hole-​in-​the-​wall shack in a low-​rent shopping center in Plano (one of several locations around the metro area). Last summer I got a little addicted to the Dreamsicle, while the spouse had a deep love of the root beer and vanilla (with added cream).
Prices are great — cream costs extra as do extra flavors. The line can be unbelievable, so be prepared to stand exposed in the sun on super-​hot days.

It’s a cash only, walk up, or drive thru. No frills, just straight shaved ice.
For just a couple of bucks, you can get your choice of an array of refreshing flavors. For a buck more, you can get their knock out — soft serve on top and bottom! They would’ve had five stars if their soft serve was the actual ice cream kind and not the frozen dessert version (basically oil w added milk casein). Next time, I’ll order it w Blue Bell instead.
They also have nachos and corn here; the kind that they cut from the ear into a cup, topped with butter, mayo, lime, and hot sauce!
It’s a cheap, delicious treat, that can’t be beat! :)

This place is cheap compared to most sno cone places. They only take cash so make sure u have a couple dollars on u. I’ve only tried clear coconut with cream but I may need to try the knockout next time! The flavor is good but I do like Bahama Bucks better.

The Mangonada is fantastic! The nachos are a big, gooey, guilty feeling, mess of fun eating.

My absolute favorite snocone stop. They are the best in the area and I sometimes refuse new places because I know how great theirs are. The have many, many flavors and the price is perfect. The service is quick with two drive thru lines and a walk up window.

Elotes here is incredible. Perfec tmix of corn, creamy, and spicy.
The shaved ice has made me a convert. Super saturated shaved ice cups turn your mouth colors and stain someone else’s Jetta seats… ah memories.
I always get Pink Ladies which is like a Big Red thing, Get it with cream and it’s to die for. Root Beer and Ninja Turtle are delicious too.

YUM! I’ve gone here twice in a single day. You can mix two flavors for no charge… so get creative. I came up with a coconut wedding cake: D and lemon raspberry. & when I’m feeling fruity… the blackberry cherry raspberry ahhh!!! The price is great, the people manning the windows are friendly, and this is just summer bliss in a cup.
