Taco Cabana

Horrible service. Be prepared to wait… Came in and waited ten minutes with only four people in line ahead if us. Cashier slow beyond words. Took her three munutes to count change. The only reason I gave two stars is that their food is actually pretty good and salsa bar good.

Place was packed Sunday lunch. The Chicken Fajita taco tasted fine, but the Steak fajita taco seemed off on one bite. It was a warning sign of a major digestive event for my next day. I hate to think that they haven’t solved the issues of poor workers, crappy food, and unclean prep areas. If I could give them a Zero I would!

Bought an egg and potato taco for breakfast. They gave me a barbacoa. How hard can this order be?

We have always liked the brisket tacos and the Borracho beans at this location. On Saturday night the 14^th I got two brisket plates to go with borracho beans. These were
the worse borracho beans I have ever eaten…3 small pieces of onions, no cilantro, beans were not cooked (plinky), no bacon and funny tiny bits of some sort of meat… just really disappointing. We will have to think twice before going to this location again.

Nice clean restaurant.

It took 12 minutes to get a bean and cheese taco. I can honestly say, I’ve experienced much better.

The street tacos are no good and not even worth 7.99 for the plate., They microwave the corn tortilla to warm them, can’t even compare those tacos to a Taquería. Don’t let the picture on there menu fool you.

I went to this location on Friday night and ordered two tacos. The tacos were sitting in a pile of grease. Disgusting. Will never come back to this location.

Enchiladas are well prepared and tasty, prices are reasonable. But after the screaming kids and KISS-​FM blasting on the speakers, I had to eat quickly before I lost my appetite. I know… if it’s too loud, I’m too old.

I was wondering why it took so long to get my order. It turns out they forgot about me. Luckily, the person that had rung me up noticed and got it taken care of. In addition, I got a freebie! That made the experience OK, but will likely not be back.

Growing up in San Antonio taco cabana was a staple of my youth. From breakfast to late night meals TC has something to answer your cravings. Breakfast recommend would be the eggs Mexicana perfect mix of eggs smothered in queso bacon and refried beans and a couple of tortillas. Make your own tacos from the eggs bacon and beans so frigging good. Lunch or dinner go for the chicken flautas combo comes with chips and queso and a drink for 5 dollars one star deduction because they don’t offer the carne guisada up here anymore

Customer service here is HORRIBLE especially after midnight when they only employ rude black people. During, the day, you might luck out and get some cool mexicans that take a little pride in their job.

When It opened it had pretty good tacos. We would go there often. But now everything about this location has hit rock bottom. The food is horrible and the workers are Walmart rejects.

This place has awesome food and service. Highly recommend! If your eating clean their steak soft taco is good.

I’ve been coming to Taco Cabana since I’ve moved here in Texas since 2005. Quite honestly, I really don’t care for Tex-​Mex style of Mexican cuisine (I’ve tried everything) and Taco Cabana was the closest to what I liked in terms of Mexican food.
I went there to this particular location today and found out that they no longer offer Shrimp taco/​burrito/​quesadilla anymore. I was shocked as I don’t eat meat and the shrimp items were the only ones I ate (don’t eat cheese, beans and sour cream etc). I don’t know what kind of place they don’t have any shrimp or fish items (well, maybe, not Taco Bell and Taco Bueno, but Taco Cabana ALWAYS had some kind of Shrimp items). I was so hungry, but there was nothing for me to eat, so I watched my spouse eat his food. I’m so angry and upset that you took those items away for a reason unknown.
I will return if Taco Cabana brings back the shrimp menu, but if not, this is it for me. It’s a shame!

Good food but why aren’t their drive thru employees better trained? I had to eat a quesadilla with two dipping sauces sour cream, and guacamole, with no fork and then with no napkins either! Really disappointing, just glad I had a paper towel in my car to wipe my hands off. I know that they think their food is so much better than Taco Bell or taco Bueno but the portion sizes really don’t make up for it when you have to pay five dollars for what is essentially two tortillas a little bit of meat and some cheese.

I returned a couple of weeks ago and there were some improvements, so I have to at least add a star.
Operations were running smoother and it appears they cleaned the place up a bit.

I needed a place to park and do some work while kid was at main event for a bday party. Ordered the steak nachos. Steak bites were as small as confetti!!!
Chips were stale. Wtf? Was there a orange cheese shortage as well.
Salsa bar was clean. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff was friendly. I really appreciated that.
As a bonus I got to complete some work with the free wifi. AND wait for it…
There was a table of cute lesbians chugging down margaritas on the patio.
After a few pitchers they were extremely «free and affectionate» to say the LEAST.
I really enjoyed their show, and the show the family of 6 with grandma put on when they were a bit miffed with all the kissing.
The nachos lasted about 15 minutes but after 4 trips to the soda machine, and 2 hours of the L show, it only gets 2 stars.
T.C. Sure ain’t what it used to be.

Quality and value that was so amazing about this place went downhill. it’s now at least 4.25 before tax for less, poorer quality cabana bowl that I raved so much about. No more guac, stale fried shell, less rice & beans distracted by the introduction of lettuce to its new recipe.
Disappointing.

Imagine a guy who gets taken to Plano a few times a month to visit in-​laws. Now, as hard as it is to believe, imagine that these trips are not always a ton of fun.
With that picture in mind, it is safe to assume that this person loves nothing more then the delicious breakfast burritos served at Taco Cabana. I… errr, I mean, this random guy that loves his extended in-​law family loves this place. It is consistently the cleanest TC I’ve been to.
The staff here is not overly helpful but they were not rude either; mostly they were just ‘there.’ As a bonus, the free WiFi almost helps you forget the messy salsa bar.
