The food was amazing! I had the Cambridge skillet which is one of their specialties. They’re new kale cooler drink is also very tasty. Definitely will be returning for more soon!

We arrived at 9am on a Saturday morning and were seated right away. Our server greeted us promptly and brought our drinks. Pros: Nice menu selection and the food tasted great. My favorite was the seasoning on the breakfast potatoes. Cons: Only two things: 1) eggs were served lukewarm and 2) we sat at a table and our server reached across the table to serve the food. I hate having an armpit in my face when I’m about to eat something. If we were at a booth there would have been no choice, but we were at a table and it is just lazy to not walk around. As long as nobody puts their pit in my face, I’d go back.

For the past year I’ve been coming here almost every Sunday with a good friend of mine and absolutely love this place! All the staff are very friendly and the food is great. The manager Loraine is very personable and always comes by to chat with us and to make sure everything is good. I will continue coming here for the great food and also because of the awesome staff. My name is Karsten Williams from American Ninja Warrior and this place is ninja approved! Keep up the good work!

Been having breakfast and lunch here 2 – 3 times a month for the last three+ years. There has been a steady decline in service since the new manager has taken over. Over the last year or so there have been prior changes in managers and the quality overall remained unchanged. No so anymore. In addition, there are many new people on staff who seem to not know the menu, basics like what is the soup of the day, or they disappear for lengthy periods of time. Refills are always an issue. Basic items like salad dressing are forgotten and can take quite some time to get corrected. Time to look for a new place. Sad to see this happen. The ownership needs to have a hard look at what’s going on.

I have been here twice for breakfast and the food is good. They definately know how to cook eggs. And the bacon and sausage as well. I was not a fan of the eggs benedict, the meat was tough. Try the sunrise cooler it is great. Noe the reason for my review is the service. My 2nd visit I dropped my keys down a storm drain. Don’t park next to storm drains !!! The manager called City of Plano for me and had them come out. While I waited I had breakfast and they comped my meal ! The waiter was great and so was everyone in the restaurant. Kudos to City of Plano. They were there within an hour and had my keys out in minutes. My day was saved !!!

Stopped in for lunch and was very disappointed. I ordered a chicken sandwich with side salad. Asked if the dressing was homemade and was told it was. It definitely was not. The chicken breast was FROZEN– not fresh and tasted that way. This pick was at the recommendation of the waiter as one of his favorites. All of this for $ 10. Will not go back. Disguising.

The service was terrible. She was nice, but completely absent and unhelpful, even argued why we had to wait so long for her to check on our drinks(we had waited, watching servers stand around, before summoning her, and then watched her organize bread for 5 more minutes). A second cup of tea is another 2.50, no thanks, not when you don’t bring boiling water before disappearing for another 20 minutes. The food is inedibly salty, but no one knows because no one asked. Oh wait, the manager asked, then walked away when I said, «It was ok». Don’t worry, I didn’t expect a comp, but don’t expect our return. I’m ashamed that for the first time in my life I didn’t tip. I live on tips. But I just couldn’t.

I absolutely love this place. The ambience makes you feel as if you’re in grandma’s kitchen and homey. I got the Belgian waffle with a sunny side up and 3 turkey sausages. It was awesome!!! Very fresh and flavorful. My friend ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict and she seemed to love it! I also had an awesome server named Matt and he was always happy and ready to help. Love this place!!!

I think after 70+ visits to this location, a review is finally in order. We always drove by this place on the way to the grocery store and finally decided to give it a try. I’m really glad we did, because it’s now our default breakfast/brunch spot. The food is excellent – I have had several things on the menu, but my favorite is the green chile chicken hash. Eggs your way atop shredded potatoes with peppers and onions, topped with cheese and a pork green chile sauce… yum! It comes with guacamole and sour cream, but I always leave those off(personal preference). I also have a side of chicken apple sausage(so good! Not sweet at all, and has a good flavor). Hubby always gets the Belgian waffle express with egg whites and the chicken apple sausage. He claims that the waffle is the best of all the ones he’s had(sorry, Waffle House). Now I have had other things on the menu – huevos rancheros here are solid, the ranch potatoes as a side are good(although I don’t know what makes them ‘ranch’ as they don’t have ranch flavoring), and the grits come plain. The turkey sandwich is also good, and comes with avocado(no extra charge!). Finally, if you are a pancake lover, be prepared for the biggest pancake you’ve ever seen – it literally takes up the entire plate. The service here is also good. There is not a lot of turnover among the staff, which is a good thing. The servers are always friendly, and the service is attentive without being intrusive – you can eat your meal in peace without being constantly interrupted, but when you need something, it is brought to you in a reasonable amount of time. If you’re looking for a new place to chow down after a Friday or Saturday night of debauchery or after a morning of getting your Jesus on, give this place a try.

I really like the Egg & I, but totally bummed that they removed the Philly Steak Benedict from the menu. That was my absolute favorite. :-(Regardless, this is a great place and everything I’ve tried was awesome!

I moved to Texas from Los Angeles three weeks ago from this posting. I never have been big on the breakfast food thing, but The Egg & Eye converted me. First of all the staff is super friendly and treat you like family, as in family you like not the ones your forced to be with on thanksgiving. The skillets are my favorite, The Cambridge and the Texas skillet in particular. I have a service dog that is with me every time I go there and they always bring her a bowl of water without asking which is real nice. They always serve their soft drinks with a pitcher they leave at your table so when you glass is running low you always have more on standby. Since I have been in Texas for only three weeks I have eaten here 8 times so far very consistent.

The service was very good. Our food arrived hot and exactly as we ordered it. It was a little warm when we got there and I mentioned it to the waiter. He told me that he would take care of it and he did. Great job. This visit. My wife invited 5 of her friends. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful. My omelette was delicious. There was always people waiting to be seated but didn’t seem to mind.

Quality of the food was very MEH this time. I ordered crabcakes benedict & had to return it… very fishy & the dish was just off in general. They were cool about it and I got the 2 eggs breakfast instead. Stick with simple things here and you should be good.

Egg and I can not figure out an omelette. Mexican omelette came with 2 tiny pea sized pieces of chorizo and no cheese in the middle. Was hard to decifer the chorizo vs these tiny little peppers and gelatin like sauce on the top. More of a scrambled egg shaped like a omelette. My son ordered the ham and cheese omelette, very little ham and cheese on the top, not inside the omelette — must be a Dallas thing? They are the type of omelette you would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn at the continental breakfast. Green sauce on top was luke warm, and taste like it came out of a can. My wife’s eggs were bland, very little cheese. Where are the mom and pops or greasy spoons in this town? My daughter ordered Mac and Cheese — it literally was Kraft Mac and Cheese, confirmed by the manager… At a restaurant you can’t make real Mac and Cheese, in the south no less? I sent mine back, something I rarely have done in my life. They offered to make something else, but after seeing the spread that would have been over $ 35.00 for 2 adults and 2 small children, I said no. Manager comped my meal but then tried to argue with me on how she loved these dishes, like I care. She gave me two«Mystery coupons» for next time — must be opened by server on next visit… One could be a free cup of coffee or a $ 50.00 coupon. I gave them to a little old lady sitting by herself. These«Breakfast» places like Egg and I or Le Peep are BAD, and the portions are SMALL.

The cornerstone of great breakfast places is good service, and The Egg and I definitely surpasses expectations. I go here often with coworkers during professional development days and am always pleased with how fast food comes out. All standard breakfast foods are available and done above average. Nothing mind-blowing, but it’s a breakfast place. I did really enjoy the pork green chile that came on the side of my scramble.

Came here twice. First time tried the blueberry pancake meal and it was huge. Couldn’t finish it in one sit. It tasted pretty good and blueberry sauce was really great. Second time I tried the Cobb salad and it was disappointing. I would recommend to go for their breakfast.

Okay food. Nothing major. You come here when you do not feel like making breakfast on Sunday mornings. Great service though. Everyone is friendly.

Good service. Large selection of egg dishes ranging from omelets to eggs Benedict. They do breakfast, lunch and brunch. They close at 2:30pm. They do not do dinner. Eggs were fluffy, dishes were flavorful and they can do low carb substitutes. Coffee was excellent(5⁄5) on the coffee.

First timer… it’s a mom-pop shop with nice people. I try to eat keto so they made a veggie dish sautéed with butter and topped it with 2 eggs over medium and some more butter(not margarine). It tasted good and I left not feeling guilty. They give you free coffee if you check in, and we ordered ice coffee and they refilled and made one to go. Kathy our waiter was very friendly. All in all its a breakfast joint with the expected menu choices, plus a few unique/creative Benedict options gave them 4 stars for accommodating me and it turned out tasty.

One rainy Sunday morning, my nieces and I woke up feeling very hungry. We sneaked out of the house and decided to look for breakfast. We came across this place as I’ve heard that their Benedict’s are good. We’ve ordered Chocolate chipper pancakes with bacon and sausage, a bowl of fruits and Crab Cakes Benedict. The pancakes are huge and my nieces were all amazed by the size of it. The Crab cakes are very tasty and it’s really good with the Benedict sauce with a sprinkles of fresh tomatoes on top. It also came with a side of potatoes. Everything was really good and you get a free coffee when you check in. Will definitely comeback to try other kinda of Benedict’s they offer.
