Had I known! I don’t know what possessed me to discount this place! The pancakes are so light and fluffy, accompanied with the whipped butter and real maple syrup almost made me forget I ordered an omelet! As for the omelet, spinach, mushrooms, and cheese with a side of slab bacon — the freshness of the eggs made me look for chickens outside! I really enjoyed the food, more than any one person can eat in one sitting. And my waitress, Damaris, she kept my cup filled and knew I would need some salsa with my omelette! Very personable and accommodating. I will be back, and will bring others! Thank you for this experience!!!

I LOVE this restaurant! The blueberry pancakes are served with a freshly made blueberry syrup compote that is hot. You use that instead of maple syrup. It is amazing!!! The dutch baby is SO delicious as well! Everything I have had here has been top-notch! The quality of food is much better than IHOP or Denny’s!

Pros: great breakfast options, quick service, reasonable prices, easy parking, friendly staff, had eggs over easy which were great! The bacon was some of the best bacon I’ve ever had Cons: made a reservation and still had to wait a while

Came for a second time hoping I’d have a better experience than the first, but today marks the end of this restaurant for me. Ordered scrambled eggs that were close to raw so they had to take them back. And then here comes the best part: waitress carried too many plates for her own good and completely dropped a plate of potatoes on my $ 80 bear paw boots and was pretty nonchalant about it.(The plate survived though since it bounced off my foot but unfortunately, my toe and boots didn’t.) A+ service if you ask me. Talked to the manager about it but he was completely no help, looked like he was unsure of how to take care of the entire situation even though he’s one of the«managers.» Honestly I’m so appalled at the service I’ve received today, I’m not sure what I’m more disappointed in. Please train your waiters/waitresses – if it’s impossible to carry 6 plates at the same time, don’t do it!

The three times I have visited this location resulted in 3 times of mediocre to sub-par experience. Last time I went was Sunday afternoon when the weekend crowd has left. The restaurant was about 1⁄3 full at the time. There were a lot of servers around, but we waited 10 minutes before our own waitress appeared. She was friendly, however the omelet was flat not fluffy and the Dutch Baby was under cooked. I am a repeat customer of several area OPH locations. For me, the one at Village of Preston Hollow has been most consistent in the quality of their food & service.

So, I’ve had breakfast at OHP several times, and the food quality is consistently getting worse. Today was the worst of all. The new yogurt French toast with fruit sounded delicious. Unfortunately, a few minutes into it and the French toast hardened up. It reminded me of bread when it’s microwaved. I’m pretty confident this will be my last time.

Just like other breakfast places. The pancakes were good, portion size was big, very friendly service. Get there early, there was a line out the door after 9.

Warm, friendly environment. We had excellent service: prompt, kind, and helpful. Between our entire family we ordered waffles, strawberry waffles, blueberry pancakes, French toast, hash browns, and sausage. Every item was hot and delicious. The food was prepared and served in a timely fashion. The coffee — very important to me — was top notch. We have a new favorite breakfast place!

Usually a good place to eat, but at 10:30 on a Friday morning the waiting area was packed but the restaurant empty. We left after 15 minutes and seeing unhappy customers leave. Need to get their staff on board!

We entered the restaurant around 11:05AM having not decided if it would be breakfast of lunch. We were greeted and seated promptly and in a bout 5 minutes a waitress came by and took our drink order and lunch order. My spouse ordered the cheeseburger with a fruit side. I ordered the half sandwich(New York Reuben) and a cup of soup(white beans & ham). Then the waitress said she did not think they had the bean soup and I ask her to check. There were five soups listed on the menu. When she returned she advised they have never had the bean soup and only have a chicken with wild rice. None of the other out of the five soups listed was available. I accepted the chicken and wild rice soup. Our orders were delivered to our table some 36 minutes later, however I noticed other tables were also receiving very slow service and that is surprising as the restaurant wasn’t even half full. The«soup» came and it was actually thick stew with chicken, rice and some veggies. It was acceptable, but not the greatest. My half reuben came with the usual corned beef, kraut, and dressing. I did not care for the dressing. The bread was toasted and covered with butter. I probably would not order the Reuben sandwich should I return. The table next to us returned their strawberry, blueberry pancakes and it apparently was microwaved and returned shorty with the fruits looking soggy.

So the food is always spot on and the coffee is great. I have tried probably half of their breakfast menu and never had bad food. The apple pancake is amazing. My only complaint is the service is all over the place. Sometimes it is great and others it is terrible. The tables are close together. If you are in a booth it is not bad but some of the tables make you feel like you are family with your neighbors. Overall come here the food is spot on and better than most of the breakfast options in the area.

Great place, can’t believe anyone would choose an IHOP or Denny’s when they could go to this place. Their bacon is worth the trip alone! Plus we had great service!

We miss this place!!! Growing up in a state that this was a every Sunday after church thing… to move to a state where there is none. Well, needless to say: «HEARTBREAKINGFOLKS!’ So to find out on our trip to Dallas for our son’s surgery that they had a OPH, well seriously, why wouldn’t we stop??? My hubby got the apple pancake and I got the dutch baby!!! HEAVEN!!! My hubby was so happy and my little man LOVED sharing my dutch baby with me! The staff was so sweet! They hung out and talked with us, asked about our son and his surgery and were so understanding. Only reason why I am not going 5 stars as it needs a little make over, not as clean as I would expect in this area and the bathrooms were very dirty. However, this did not ruin my joy!!! :) HAPPYDANCE!!! YUMMYYUMMY!!!

We have eaten at two other locations and this one is very similar. There were 5 of us for breakfast and we all were very happy with our food and service. My only complaint would be about the corned beef. While it tasted good, I would expect homemade would be much better. This came out of a can. We will certainly keep this place on our local breakfast restaurant list!

Went for breakfast a few days ago. Firstly, it’s freezing inside but none of the staff seems to notice. My parents both ordered pancake platters and coffee/tea. The coffee is incredibly, unpleasantly strong. I had the hot chocolate, which was good, and the migas. Migas traditionally have jalapeños, which I am used to, but something about these were excruciatingly hot to the point where I couldn’t even eat them. The also weren’t traditionally cooked. Usually it’s scrambled eggs with the veggies, but this was just a flat piece of egg that I had to cut up into pieces for the tortilla. Everyone’s food was alright, except that mine was too spicy for anyone, including my parents who tasted it, to eat. It’s also really pricy. Probably won’t be back.

This is my second time at OHP. I ordered bacon and eggs(the smaller portion comes with two bacon strips, one egg, and three buttermilk pancakes). Pretty standard; the buttermilk pancakes were very good though. Moist and fluffy at the same time. It was Sunday around lunchtime so it was packed and busy. I recommend going on non-peak hours or on the weekdays. The server forgot to bring several things we asked for but tried to be as helpful as possible. I don’t blame him because it was super busy. There was also a man who was going around the tables making balloon animals for the little kids. It was a bit odd to see that in a restaurant but I guess it’s good for the kids. Most of these breakfast places seem all the same to me. It’s pretty hard to mess up eggs and bacon.

Ambience is… zzzzz… Service is nothing to write home about. But the food… oh…the food. The pancakes – however you want’em. The French toast is eggy and amazing. The best I’ve had. The corned beef hash is awesome and original. The sausage house-made. And the coffee will put hair on your chest(ladies). I want to wake up every day here. I used to always go to the uptown location but this one’s great, too. Dined here last Sunday. Fabulous.
