Dipa is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I elected to get my underarms and lower legs done and it is so great not having to shave. I highly recommend Uptown Laser to my one considering getting laser hair removal.

This lady Dipa, will say or do anything to have you pay for 6 treatments UPFRONT and CASH. Then when my son caught bronchitis and I had to reschedule. She told me I am making her lose income. I paid her $ 650 to do parts of my entire body… After spending that kind of money and reading other reviews I thought she would really care and not be rude.
She barley hit the spots. it was so painful and I told her give me a second but oh no she said I don’t have time and continued to zap the hell outta me. It was excruciating and could care less. She said and I quote «I get to hurt people and they pay me for it.»
Today she tells me she is selling or closing her business. What a scam artist. Save yourself from getting robbed and then being lied to. There are much more reputable places that will not play these childish games.

This place is NO JOKE and I mean that in a good way :) I’ve had two sessions so far and amazing results! I’ve done laser in the past as well as electrolysis and have an underlying hormonal issue so the hair is never 100% gone but the very first time with dipa has made a HUGE different in the reduction of hair, so I am hoping for an overall decrease. She’s very helpful and explains everything fully. I will be coming back for more body parts :) highly recommended! Also, very reasonably priced for the work and results you see.

Where to begin? I will start from the second I enter the facility. This office is located inside a CLEAN, organized, one-​stop shop for all your beauty needs — super convenient! I walk into Uptown Laser and Skin and am immediately greeted by a smiley, friendly, energetic Dipa (every. single. time), who always manages to somehow transform my day into a better one. But that is a whole other review in itself. Anyway, I am then told to enter a different room (love the privacy) and we get straight to business as she understands the importance of time, not your typical IST :)
During my services, which can be SUPER painful, Dipa is always distracting me with topics of conversation that I actually want to partake in. I have gone to numerous salons where the service provider will make conversation just for the sake of following protocol, but not here. She listens attentively and actually engages in topics that we both relate to — and before I know it, my time is up! I honestly feel as if I am just talking to an old friend while getting hair removal — two birds with one stone, if you will.
Dipa is always SO honest about products that she offers and sells within her facility and will make sure to tell me which products will and will not suit my skin type. There have been a number of times where I wanted to purchase expensive services and products and she has actually not only told me not to, but has told me to go elsewhere to get something that I am more suited for. How amazing is that? She does, however, carry Obagi (my most favorite) so that’s also a plus :)
I can go on and on and on about this place, the only regret I have is that eventually all my unwanted hair will go away and I will no longer be needing to use Dipa’s services. I couldn’t even count how many people have felt my arms and exclaimed how smooth they were — thanks Dipa!

LOVE Dipa and the work she does! I’ve got thick hair and sensitive skin, and she successfully battles both issues… I have to remind myself to shave my legs once a week now! Dipa is very knowledgeable and great to work with.

Background & Past Experience with another Laser Hair place:
I’m a white guy and have hair on my back/​shoulders I wanted to get rid of. I used a «groupon» type deal years back with another company and the technician had very little training and I had very poor results. I paid for the pain, but didn’t benefit from the results. On top of that, they pushed their products and wanted me to buy more sessions. I found out later that many of these laser hair removal places have technicians with very little training or understanding of how the process actually works. I decided I would do more research this time to find someone who was knowledgeable and would give me the results I want. You get what you pay for and I learned my lesson.
Experience with Uptown Laser:
After reading reviews online through Unilocal and other sites, I decided to try Uptown Laser and I am so glad I did. Dipa handles all of the sessions and she knows her stuff often educating me during the sessions. I’ve had a full 6 sessions on my back (5 on shoulders) and the difference is amazing. I was very self-​conscious about the hair before and now it’s all virtually gone. I pointed out earlier that I am white because one reviewer said the lasers she uses aren’t for white people. The laser she used on me worked exceptionally well, so I suspect there was something else going on there (competitor posting false review perhaps). Laser hair removal isn’t painless, but it’s bearable and worth it for the results.
She doesn’t try to push packages on me or use any high pressure sales tactics to push products on me. Add that to her friendly nature and the results and this place was a great experience for me. I highly suggest you try her out and see for yourself. Make sure you follow her instructions for the best results.

I bought a groupon type coupon for my session to try out laser hair removal. I was afraid to do laser because I thought it would be extremely painful however at Uptown Laser Dipa made the experience pain free. She is extremely professional and makes the experience a breeze. I am on my 6^th treatment for my entire body and do not have to shave at all. The salon is very nice and clean and relaxing. Dipa is very attentive and detail oriented. I would highly recommend her and Uptown Laser for your laser needs.

I found this place after a Living Social coupon came out advertising 6 laser hair removal sessions for $ 99. I HIGHLY recommend it! I was a little nervous my first session because I had never had underarm laser hair removal. It did hurt for a couple of seconds but nothing unbearable. I am currently on my 4^th session and I barely have to shave! Do not be discouraged if after your 2^nd or 3^rd you start seeing your hair grow back, it is normal. Once u pass the 4^th session, you will love the results! I shave once a month and still have 2 more sessions to go. Dipa is super nice and very good on timing her appointments, I have never had to wait for her to finish up with another patient. I plan on doing upper lip next! It is worth the couple seconds of a little burning sensation than the hassle of having to shave every day!

I’ve done LHR before (at a different place) and found Uptown Laser & Skin to be a much better experience. Dipa is a friendly and informative technician who gives it to ya straight. Yes, it’s slightly painful, and yes, it burns/​stings a little, but you will find that it’s definitely worth it. No pain, no gain, that’s for sure! The laser has a cooling mist that sprays out at the same time you get zapped. I closed my eyes, turned away, and counted the beeps. Afterwards, she applies aloe for relief.
I’m what they call the «ideal» LHR candidate: light skin, dark hair. After my first underarm session with Dipa, I noticed barely any return growth. On my second run, she took it up a notch, and I’m pretty sure nothing’s coming back haha! This girl is SERIOUSLY NOT messing around. Go to Uptown Laser & Skin, you’ll get better results faster!

(Sunday Jan. 29^th) This was my first time ever to get any sort of laser hair removal on my body. I opted to do my underarms and my upper lip. I got a great deal from the Living Social website…6 sessions for $ 99 for my underarms but I went ahead and bought myself the package for the upper lip.
Dipa keeps her area clean and organized. She explained the process and how it would feel during the process. It doesn’t tickle that’s for sure. It feels like someone is hitting you with a rubber band over and over again. It hurt but it was tolerable for me. Because I have PCOS (hormones are out of whack) my hair is a little dark than usual. Dipa said she could help me with my «hairy» problem! It literally took less than 30minutes for the whole process including paperwork.
If your on certain medication, you may not be eligible for laser hair removal until its out of your system.
Dipa is a very nice lady and explained everything to me in lay-​mans terms that I could understand. She took the time to make me as comfortable as ever. What sold me the most is that she is very flexible with scheduling appointments! I didn’t miss a day of work to splurge on myself For heavens sake I got my first appointment on a Sunday! That alone was awesome! I dragged my kiddos with me and we got to hang a McDonald’s after wards just for the heck of it!
