All I can say is that if you don’t open an Anthony’s in the DC/MD area we’re just going to have to move to Florida.

Great food like all locations, friendly staff but the parking here is horrible! Too many stores in this shopping center to have a busy restaurant like this. Will go back though

So I have been here a few times and have tried a few things at this location. This was a spot that for me I wanted to try a few times before writing review. The service: to me the service is always spotty. Some times great sometimes meh. It can be all over the place especially if you go in a group. Pet peeve: your soda is in a bottle aka no free refills so you better get a glass of water if you want to drink anything after that bottle is empty. If you’re going at lunch my advice is to get there at 11:45 to just beat the rush. The food: If nothing else you have to get the pizza. It’s in their name it has to be good and it is. Typically I get the white pizza. The side chicks aka chicken wings are good, but super small. These chickens must be on a diet because they are tiny. The meat though is so good and seasoned to perfection. Comes with sautéed onions which are killer and focaccia bread. The side. My least favorite item here. Why? Because it was so flipping expensive. I ordered a large salad with tuna and cheese. Salads come with no meat and no cheese so you have to add them on. A salad only comes with lettuce(duh) tomatoes, onions and olives which right there for a large is $ 10 and kind of a rip off. Add meat and cheese and my bill was $ 20 which a drink. So salad should cost more than a large pizza. The salad was good, the tuna was fresh, but man, a bit overpriced in my opinion. I learned my lesson. I know what to get here and what to shy away from.

Came here late on a stormy Wednesday night. My husband liked the draft beer menu as it had Hop Gun IPA his favorite. We ordered a meatball ricotta pizza and a small Anthony salad w Gorgonzola. Our order came out quickly. crust is wood fired so a little crispy but was very tasty. The hostess could have been a little friendlier but our waitress was kind. We were from out of town and would recommend to others looking for pizza and a brew.,

Nice cozy place in the neighborhood. Plenty of parking around since it located right on the plaza. Great outdoor sitting next to fountain. Small pizza is roughly 12″ and large one is huge! Meatballs with Mozzarella one is amazing. The only downside-they don’t serve alcoholic beverages outside, but its a law, no way around it :(

I visited family for Christmas and we decided to get pizza one night but we wanted something more local than a national brand. Anthonys Coal Fired was Zagat rated and great overall reviews so we confidently gave it a shot. We ordered a basic pepperoni pizza, a veggie pizza, and the meatball and ricotta pizza. Everyone loved it and even coming from Chicago, I loved it! The meatball and ricotta, which seemed to be their pride and joy from all the pictures and black boards of their meatballs, was amazing! The ricotta gave rich flavor with each bite and the meatballs were tender. I highly recommended it to family back in Florida and will definitely get it again when I visit!

9÷2÷2015 — REVIEWFORDININGIN I usually order at this Anthony for take-out or eat on the tables outside in their courtyard. This time we decided to eat inside. A young lady(blonde) greeted us and sat us on the first table on the left, right next to the door. We told her if we could seat AWAYFROMTHEDOOR. She walked us to the back of the restaurant and seats us on a two top in the middle of two doors… the RESTROOM doors and the KITCHEN door. A little common sense here. We just looked at each other confused, like«Did she not understand what we meant?» we just sat down. Our server came by ready to take our order. No greeting, no name. We ordered waters, and a Peroni. We decided on the small Meatball Ricotta pie and small order of wings(10 wings). I have absolutely no complaints on the food. It has always been good and that’s why I come here. The service was not as personal but she did her job. No upsell on items. No refills. No small talk. Overall, great food, good server, terrible seating area. I will order out next time.

My family decided to try some«non-traditional» pizzas. We got 2 small Philly Cheesesteak pizzas and two small Fresh Mozzarella Sliced Tomato & Basil pizzas. Worst pizzas I’ve ever eaten in my long pizza-loving life. The mozzarella and tomato on those two respective pizzas were cold. And(personal interjection), without sauce, it was really dry. The Philly-cheesesteak pizza tasted as if an entire salt shaker had been dumped on each slice. I’ve never drank so much liquid to counter-balance the salt of a single slice of pizza before. I tried to eat a second slice and I couldn’t do it. My mouth felt the same way it does after eating an entire bag of BBQ Fritos. The salt just took all moisture away and left my tongue feeling like the Sahara. I was forced to go back to the Mozzarella pizza, but it was hardly enjoyable. The worst part of all of this was probably the fact that these four, 12″ pizzas cost around $ 83. I wouldn’t eat their pizza if it were given to me for free.

For a Wednesday night the place was packed so that says a lot. People were friendly and very apologetic for the wait. The hostess was kind enough to already notice that we looked at the menu so we should know what we want and took the order. Can definitely appreciate the teamwork! I had the house salad with Gorgonzola cheese. Delicious! While my big man had the oversized calzone, let’s just say he has a new love! Lol. great food, great service, off the beaten path though so unless you’re a local wouldn’t know about it! Would totally come here again!

Pizza Pizza– OK, OK that’s the wrong place, but Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza saved me this past week from one of the most epic hangovers I have had in a very long time. After a day of almost a near death experience… on my couch, my friend demanded/insisted she pick me up and feed me pizza. This is geographically the closest pizza joint to my house and getting in and out of it is easy enough… so for those 2 reasons I agreed… begrudgingly(my big word for the day). We got there around 5 pm, before the epic horse race(triple crown winner yadda yadda yadda), and sat down. We both noticed how freaking COLD it was and I’ll be honest that is why it’s not a 5 star experience. It was so epically(word of the day) cold in here that I was hunched in a little ball hiding under the table as much as I could… albeit probably with cold sweats and still shaken from my hangover but never you mind that! We mentioned it(the teeth chattering coldness) to our waitress WHO no joke had subsequently put on a sweater and she smiled and said«I know it’s always so cold in here». Now I get it the pizza oven is hot and I’m sure they crank the ac down for when the dinner rush comes, but good lord hand out blankets or something! brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr PS I keep my house b/w 68 – 72 degrees, I like it cold, THIS was COLDER. double bbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr The other ½ a star deduction goes to the fact that they only have beer and wine… I was in desperate need of a bloody mary or an IV, either would’ve done. Now they do have craft beer for you«men» out there that need high octane beer and they do have wine for you lovely ladies who like/need/require«mom juice». We shared a small salad which was plenty for us, an order of 4 meatballs w/extra sauce(which we ate every last drop of), and a small sausage and broccolini pizza(she wanted to take some home for her kids so we over ordered)…it was toothsome(go Google that, it’s actually a word – who knew?). I’m going back to Anthony’s– armed with a pair of pants(drawstring preferably) and a sweater #boom…arm yourselves kids knowledge is power.

We love this place! It’s actually the only place we get to-go food from. Never ever longer than 15 minutes… How do they do it??? Really who can beat a pot of those humongous moist and flavorful meatballs with ricotta cheese and those wings with that delicious focaccia bread any night of the week?!? When I don’t feel like doing the dishes… Yes, I eat my to go food on dishes… We will dine in and the service is always on point, a younger female manager is always so friendly, too. Draught beer is half off or something like that on Monday nights, nice perk to get rid of a case of the«Monday’s.»

I will start by saying that I am not typically a «pizza person». I know, I know. who doesn’t absolutely love pizza?! Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy pizza but I could usually give or take it. This is not the case with Anthony’s. Their pizza is totally crave-worthy. As is everything on their menu. I don’t even know where to start. The Meatball and Ricotta pizza(as well as the side of meatballs on their own) are simply mouth watering! This is probably my finance’s favorite pizza on the entire planet. Probably the best meatballs that I’ve ever had. could eat them everyday! The Broccoli Rabe and Sausage entrée is my fave. savory, garlicky & oh so delish! And it comes with a yummy side of rosemary focaccia. I’m somewhat obsessed with the rosemary/bread combo. More of a veggie lover? You can’t go wrong with the Eggplant Marino pie. Yum! The salads, the wings. you don’t know what your missing! Wether it’s been dine-in or take-out, the service has always been great. The servers are always sure to check in and be sure everything is up to your satisfaction. I’m a sucker for great customer service and Anthony’s staff does not disappoint. Going on a Friday or Saturday night. be prepared to wait a bit. I’d suggest grabbing a seat at the bar(as long as you can find an open one) and enjoying one of the many craft beers on tap. Usually an IPA for me! Enjoy!

I am a fan of Anthony’s. I have been eating at their locations for a long time. But like some other chains, not all Anthony’s are alike. I have to admit that hands down the Plantation store is by far the best. This is just my opinion of course. I have never had anything that I did not like at any of the Anthony’s locations. Coral Springs has great management and great food and service. My takeout orders have never been messed up. The original Boca store has always been great too. I have only had takeout from the Weston store and that location is my least favorite. But as of last night… the Plantation restaurant is now my favorite!!! I met some friends last night for dinner at about seven o’clock. We only waited a few minutes for a table to become available. The hostess was very friendly and offered us an outside table incase we did not want to wait. It was cold outside and about to rain so we opted to wait for an inside table. We had a great server and I wish I remembered his name. He gave us the time we needed to decide on what to order and was attentive throughout our meal. Lets face it, he was dealing with a few woman who were more intent on chatting than looking at the menu. The one thing we all agreed upon was that we were all starving and we all wanted salad. The salad was the typical freshly made salad that Anthony’s is known for. We ordered the gorgonzola cheese on the side. The salad had chick peas, eggs, olives, onions and it was all lightly tossed in their ultra delicious house vinaigrette dressing. You cant go wrong with a salad from Anthony’s. We shared a small order of the Coal Fired Wings that are served with mounds of caramelized onions. These wings were truly scrumptious & served with focaccia bread. The onions alone are amazing and I ate lots of them. For added zip I like to squirt a little lemon on the wings. I really should have taken an order home to eat tonight. Next time I will have to remember to do that. We also shared a small order of the Pork Ribs with Vinegar Peppers. This was the first time I was trying the ribs so I was in a for real treat. They roast the ribs with garlic, rosemary, spicy vinegar peppers and white wine. I don’t know what to say, except wow. The ribs were soft, had a spicy kick and were excellent. I didn’t eat the peppers but the ribs had so much flavor & I was pleasantly surprised. Focaccia bread was also served with the ribs. The bread looked good although I didn’t have any. I was saving my carbs for the pizza. We ordered a small plain cheese pizza. The pizza was very good and not overly crispy and dark like some of the other Anthony’s locations. I had a slice and enjoyed it. But to be honest, I can really do without the pizza and just stick with the salad, wings and or ribs and be a happy girl. Oh l need to add that the meatballs are amazing. I didn’t have them last night but I absolutely love Anthony’s meatballs. This location is located in a Publix Plaza on Pine Island just South of Cleary. I am going to return… and soon.

We went to a party in Royal Palm Beach and planned on going to the Alchemist on Clematis Street but time got away from us and we had to get home to our dogs. While on the turnpike we called Anthony’s and placed a dinner order. We were told it’d be 50 minutes so we knew they were busy but when we arrived, the place was HOPPING! People were waiting outside to be seated because every seat in the restaurant was taken, and people were picking up to-go orders, non-stop. I stood by the register to pay for the pick up order but the food wasn’t yet ready so I watched the kitchen staff bang out orders at break-neck speed. The main cook who manned the wing, pie and to-go station is an ANIMAL! He rotated platters of chicken, pies, and sandwich fixins in the hot oven. He had great stamina and speed. The other cook was placing pies in and out of the oven without a pause. Two staff members manned the phones, register and racks where the to-go orders were stowed. Servers were picking up orders to deliver to the tables. Everyone was in a constant flow. I saw that the eggplant and the roast beef are wrapped in portions and cooks unroll the pack, place it on a platter and stick it in the oven to heat up. So we know that 1) they don’t fry the eggplant to order and 2) the roast beef is pre-sliced. I also saw them bake big platters of chicken wings from which to make 10 and 20 piece plates. The onions are in a huge mound in another pan — they don’t cook the chicken to order nor do the onions get cooked with the chicken. Even so, the chicken looked so good I actually ordered a 10 piece to go while waiting for my order! We initially ordered a large cheese pie, salad, and order of 2 meatballs with ricotta. We were assured the meatballs came with ricotta, both on the phone and in person. Guess what the meatballs didn’t have? Right — no ricotta! I called the restaurant when I got home to say that their tickets must not list it or something else caused the lack of ricotta. The person on the phone apologized, thanked me for calling so they could make it right, and graciously offered another order of meatballs with ricotta for us to pick up later this week! THAT was impressive! People who know me know that my heart belongs to Bellini, but Anthony’s is in my neighborhood and the food, especially wings, ribs, and salad, is good!

I completely understand Anthony’s success as a chain. They do excellent pizzas with a serious crust, little sauce and amazing(but few) toppings. However, I think most people come here for the side dishes and starters like the rather amazing chicken wings, the broccoli raab/rabe(rapini) and sausage, or their ribs covered in pickled peppers – all more amazing than they sound. The service here has generally been great, but it’s always best to come early as it gets really full here during the dinner service.
