Target Stores

For the PHARMACY: Whiile out of town, I had to fill several prescriptions that require preapproval, quickly and this story has a happy ending! You couldn’t ask for more efficient and kind pharmacists than Richard and Christian.
Even when I was on the cell talking to the doctors office who was confused whether it was a target or a CVS and they weren’t sure if they were sending the script to the right place. They saw me looking for a phone number to give the dr. and they paused what they were doing and gave it to me, all very courteously, since it interrupted someone paying for their purchase. If you’re looking for a regular pharmacy — I highly recommend the CVS inside the target store!
The prescriptions had to be pre-​approved by the insurance after the doctor called in the scripts all in different time zones. Both pharmacists who assisted me efficiently, kindly, never made me feel like the burden this was :-). They kept me informed and worked with another pharmacy to deliver one of the meds that took longer.

Just visited this location to purchase some essentials. The store seems clean. However, the store is filled with coupons advertising $ 5 gift cards when purchasing 2 of the elegible items. Once we arrived at the register, we were informed by the cashier that they were expired, and that she didn’t know where we could have gotten it from. I went back to the shelf which was filled with the same coupons, and brought one back to her. On my way back I was able to appreciate that there was not any expiration date on it, but somehow she was able to deduct that it was expired. She was very rude, and seemed very bothered by the simple situation.

Maybe tell your Target associates to not use the F-​word in front of my 7 and 8 year old kids.

If you’ve read my previous reviews, you’re aware of my affinity for Target. This Target store added to my love of the store as it had some elements that my local Targets do not.
First of all, their home décor section mirrors that of a store that solely specializes in home décor as they have «fancy» shelves and displays rather than having these items on the traditional shelves. This helps the items stand out more and seen more appealing.
Also, this Target offers some self-​checkout lanes, something else that I have not seen at my local Targets. This was very convenient as I only purchased a pair of earrings during this visit.
The rest of the store was clean and well-​organized in usual Target fashion and the sales associates were friendly and offering their assistance. I have yet to be let down by a Target and this is why I’ll continue to shop here in person and online.

Is it fair that I offer 4 stars because I always wind up spending too much here? Really, the dropped star is for the fruit section. A week ago I purchased a bunch of peaches and they barely made it a day before going bad. And not the kind of bad where parts are salvagable, but the entire fruit had to be chucked. I should have known it might happen considering how many of the peaches were already over ripe in the store. So I suppose I took a gamble and lost. On my most recent visit I knew when purchasing that the bananas were not that great. Oh well, I should definitely know better than to buy fruit here.
But, Target is not all about fruit anyway. A definite bonus is the Starbucks right when you walk in. This location even participates in the Star program and you can earn and redeem your stars here. So you can stroll leisurely through the ailes while sipping your favorite frap! A major bonus especially if you wind up having to go clothes shopping with the wife unexpectedly.
Expert tip: be aware of the sale signs. There are several offers, but you have to make sure that you select the right products with the sale which isn’t always clear. If you aren’t sure double check with the cashier, once your transaction is complete, if there was a mistake you have to go to customer service.

I only come to this Target because this is the closest one to me now but I would much rather prefer to visit the one on University and Stirling. This location is hidden behind Broward Mall and covered in massive trees.
I don’t like the layout of this location and their customer service is no where near the quality it should be for Target. I actually barely see employees walking the floor here or greeting anyone. There is ALWAYS long lines here but they do go by fairly quickly. There is a small packing lot area right in front that is pretty dark with all the trees covering the area but luckily they do have a garage right next to this location. I have never used it because I always score a spot outside but I am sure it has way more lighting then outside! I hate coming here at night because it feels very unsafe trying to get to and from your car.
I would recommend coming to this place, however, to do returns. The other target down the road takes a while where this location is smaller so the guest services is usually empty. Besides that, I much rather visit the Super Target at Sawgrass or University/​Stirling.

This is nice big Target store that is unluckily tucked away inside the shopping center and you wouldn’t even know it existed from driving past on Broward or University. There isn’t even a Target sign anywhere unless you turn into the lot.
Otherwise this is as Target as it gets — same prices, same products. They have a full sized grocery area. This Target is missing anything.

Great Target store, friendly staff. Clean and fairly organized. As a frequent shopper, even the cashiers and Pharmacy remember our names! Only wish it was a SuperTarget :) but happy with what we have!

In general I like this Target. It’s small, never too crowded and although I hate the parking situation here this tends to be my regular Target.
I went into to get some items for an ankle injury and groceries. I proceeded to the check out line and unpacked my items onto the belt. Wanda, the associate, asked how I was paying and said there were issues with their card reader system (insert identity theft joke here). I said no worries. She rung me up but had to move me to the next register to pay. She noticed I was hobbling and in pain so she told me to stay where I was. After I paid she offered to get me assistance to walk my things out and put all my bags together so it would be easy for me to carry.
Although these were small things, the customer service she showed guarantees that I will me we shop at another Target. She, to me, went above and beyond what the job description of a cashier did. Me and my injured foot thank her and I will definitely be back to spend my entire paycheck in there because when you go in for one thing at Target, you leave with 100.

This location is the closest to my house so it’s pretty convenient. It’s not as big as a Super Target that has a full grocery section but if you need the basics, it will get you by. On my most recent visit I was looking for a small basket to match a set I have purchased there earlier this year. They did not have the size I wanted and a store employee saw me wandering around and asked if she could help. I showed her the baskets and she carefully look to see if the smaller ones were stocked somewhere else. Unfortunately they weren’t but she checked the other locations and said both Davie and Sawgrass had them in stock. She even offered to call the stores for me. Luckily she did because Davie did not have it despite showing it in their inventory. However Sawgrass had the basket and she placed it on hold for me. Lacoya went that extra step, which I truly appreciate as a frequent customer.

TARGET PHARMACY=EXCELLENT. ALWAYS ON POINT, FRIENDLY (KNOW CUSTOMERS FACES/​NAMES), ALL-​AROUND GREAT STAFF AND ALWAYS SOLID EXPERIENCES.
TARGET REGULAR/​CORE STORE (since utilizing the pharmacy, I’m a regular customer despite it being less than excellent)=LESS THAN EXCELLENT (see below;)
2/2015(update on regular store experiences): Things seem to go relatively smoothly if you have no questions or need any clarification on anything, don’t use any coupons or cartwheel, etc. Usually things as they should, but whenever there is the slightest variation, be ready for them not to be ready for it. I have noticed that things seem to be improving since I originally wrote this, but I likely haven’t had any questions since that time as well:)
³⁄₂₀₁₄: originally posted a super-​negative review about the regular store (not Pharmacy, as they have always been terrific). Bottom line is there is often a general lack of basic customer service skills when checking out, utilizing the customer service section to resolve issues/​more in-​depth questions, etc. Training in basic courtesies and respect seems lacking (again, except in the Pharmacy section). Training in their own processes/​policies seems surprisingly lacking as well, even basic questions/​transactions are frequently wrought with «…don’t know… didn’t think so… I can’t do that or answer that… @register: you’ll have to ask customer service area… @cust.srvc: you’ll have to call 1−800-DONT-KNOW…»

It’s an older Target so it’s not as fancy as the newer ones, but the location is convenient.
I like the frozen selection of Amy’s organics, as well as some of the new Simply Balanced brand products that are GMO free.
Also… Who doesn’t love low priced laundry detergent and fab. soft!

Nice to have such a large Target store that also sells food with a pleasant staff too!
But it is hard to park at this location!

This Target has been here for a very long time. I remember shopping here when I first moved to Plantation and that was 1995. Very tight parking lot. Otherwise, as Meghan says, it’s just a Target.

Just a target location… nothing more… nothing less.

They just re-​did the inside of the store and added alot of items. I went there for a garden hose, and could not find any «outside» stuff… could be because of the Halloween section.
