I was in Dublin for work and found myself stranded at the hotel(not a very good one, at that) and starving. I found this little gem on Unilocal and placed an order for delivery. The food was delicious and the delivery was prompt. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future when I’m in the area!

Services was good. Sandwich was tasty. The chai latte and latte tasted yummy and the owner is really nice. It’s a cute little place and I would go back for a quick lunch during the week.

Excellent service and yummy food! I felt a part of the family when I walked in and they went out of their way to make everyone else there feel the same. I am glad I heard about their café, it’s definitely a hidden gem of pleasanton

I don’t understand these reviews! The food was ordinary and tasted like I made it at home. Definitely not returning!

Very friendly service. I had one of their breakfast sandwiches which was amazing. Their prices were also very reasonable. I would recommend Café Joy is is looking for a quick and authentic breakfast sandwich!

Love this spot!!! Such a hidden gem in my opinion! The owners of the eatery are really nice, really fast, and overall just give you a good experience. Is the items on the menu a little pricy for a sandwich and chips? Probably, but I feel that the service provided sells the food, and makes it worth coming back time and time again!

Cute little family owned café. They serve soup, salads, and you’re able to customize your own sandwich. Ordered the homemade barley soup and it was delicious. The lady was even kind enough to bring us a sample in a tiny bowl. Only down side is that we ordered 1 bowl of soup but she charged for 2 cups, but that could’ve been a communication error. Would definitely come back again.

Came here today with my cousin for some lunch because the other place we wanted to go to was closed and in really glad we came here! The woman working here is very gracious. We both ordered the soup of the day which was the barley soup. It was very flavorful and I appreciate how hot the soup came out. The sandwiches are made to order so we both or custom sandwiches. The prices here are really good. Good service, good food. Definitely coming back!

Like eating food made by mom. Had a large vegetable soup and pasta salad today for like $ 9. Get out of the rat race of fast and mediocre food and come here. You can taste the freshness and the care. Nice time-out from the usual. Fast preparation and service but a slow food experience.

I tried this place out one day for lunch based on Unilocal reviews. It’s a small, quaint little place and I can see why it has repeat customers. However, my tuna melt was just ordinary. No punch or memorable flavor to this one.

Taj was very helpful. She took my request for spinach and mushroom quiche and delivered on-time for the Easter party at home. YES, you read it right, mushroom quiche is not even there in the menu but she accommodated my request. All this the day before the party, I was so late on my decisions for the brunch menu ! She even called me to the next day and explained how to heat them in the oven, how kewl is that !! And the quiche looked, smelt and tasted divine. All the mommies and kids loved them and was a super hit ! Thanks to Taj for all work, appreciate it.

Great service, Taj(the owner) accommodated my last minute request for delivery which was amazing for the big catering order that I placed. Their sandwiches were well made and delicious. The ‘bowl’ of soup was rather small. It was the size of a cup. Found this in

Excellent soup, good sandwich. Great espresso shot. Friendly service. Just tight on space, not for large groups.

I walked in not quite knowing what to expect, but was looking for some breakfast food, which was provided in an egg and cheese and bacon croissant, which was delicious. I also took some of the green bean medley to go, and it was perfect. I can tell the food is handmade. I went back a couple days later for more green beans, and I also ordered the lentil soup, which tasted just right, and reminded me of my Lebanese Seitty’s mujadara(but nothing is quite like that!) I partly went because I saw the unique and special name, Café Joy. It’s a hidden gem.

I have Unilocal to thank for helping me find this small family-run establishment. It was less than a mile from where I worked and I did not even know it existed! Initially, I went for the coffees, which are sublime, and served in an assortment of eclectic mugs like you’d get at someone’s home. More recently, I’ve discovered their lunchtime sandwiches — so far I have tried the pastrami and chicken salad sandwiches, both of which have been good though not spectacular. I will keep coming back to try their other offerings, and of course for the coffee, because I love their friendly service(«eat your sandwich, sir, you can pay later») and the cosy, «no-rush» atmosphere. Stay tuned for updates!

If a measure of a business’s values is how they treat awkward strangers, then Café Joy is owned by very solid people, who kindly let me eat first when I realized I left my wallet somewhere else! This small slice of friendliness was a good reminder that businesses are only as solid as the people behind the counter!

Love coming here on my lunch breaks! Everything is extremely fresh and they always add something new on my sandwiches to personalize it :) The coffee is always yummy, as well as their homemade soups!!! I always get a veggie sandwich and have never been disappointed. The ladies that work here are so sweet, highly recommend!

They never seem to disappoint with their soups and sandwiches. Their homemade lentil soup is delicious. I always get their chicken salad sandwich on croissant and muenster cheese when I come here and that is yum! I come here at least once a week and I’m sure that won’t stop :)

This is going to be short and sweet(just like the ladies behind the counter) Upon walking in, I notice this café is very cozy and small. I am greeted by an older Mediterranean(?) woman with the biggest warm smile I had seen all day. I almost felt guilty for not hugging her as I felt like I had stepped into a Greek wedding and not a random café in the east bay. I order, per usual, the biggest latte I was able to get my hands on… and they did just that. Out popped a 20oz latte with 4 shots(to push me through my food coma from next door… review to come) and was sent on my way, HOLY. SHIT… they have bomb coffee. i am quite the coffee snob and this even caught me off guard. between the flawless customer service, the homey/welcoming feel and amazing coffee for a reasonable price i am a fan; i felt like family as a customer. unfortunately i can only give 4 stars due to the fact that i haven’t tried their food or pastries but once i do an update will be forthcoming. thank me later
