Worst pizza ever. They said 35 – 45 mins. I got mine in 1 hr 15 mins. My pizza was so cold the cheese was stale cold. My pizza was like cardboard. I ordered a hawaiian pizza… there was LITERALLY2 small Pieces of pineapple(piece cut in thirds) on each slice. Horrible horrible. I can’t believe I paid for that pizza. UGH. Never again. Order from mountain mikes. They never fail!

Pizza is great as long as you pick it up. If you have it delivered expect it to be cold and either undercooked or burnt.

This restaurant has new owners who are very welcoming and they’ve added new Korean Bibimbap dish on top of their delicious kebobs and pizza. Prices are very reasonable and you get a lot for the price you pay!!! Check this place out!!!

OMG! We found this place through Unilocal one Saturday morning. We’ve lived in Pleasanton for a while and had no idea it existed. We love kabobs and were looking for something tasty for a change so we decided to give it a try. I’m sure glad we did. It will be our go-to place from now on. Now, it’s a small place and nothing fancy, so if you are looking for glamour, go elsewhere. As we came in for lunch, there was a customer there having lunch and raving about the thin crust New York style pizza, which made my picky daughter immediately happy. She ordered a slice of pepperoni. Not only did she approve of their sauce, she ate almost the whole slice. It’s huge! She has been craving it since which is unusual. I had the chicken kabob and my husband had a combination with chapli & beef kabob. The orders came with delicious amounts of aromatic basmati rice, fresh Afghani bread and salad(and a little mint sauce). The salad was rather simple, nothing special, but the rest was absolutely amazing. My husband loved his meal. The meat was perfectly cooked with an absolutely delicious authentic taste. The chicken was succulent and very flavorful. We will definitely go back to try the other items on the menu. I heard their wraps are very good. Beware! They make the kabobs to order so it takes a little time. While we were there they got busy answering phone calls. I guess it’s a popular place and many people order for pick up.

I love this place. For $ 5 you can get a slice, which is really two big slices. They remembered my face and gave me a deal off my pizza. If you love thin pizza, it’s the place to go.

I have no idea what the pizza is like but the kobideh wrap is fantastic, juicy and well-seasoned and just spicy enough to make things interesting. Just ran across this place today on my way to somewhere else and I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Terrific looking Afghan food and really friendly staff.

NY Pizza & Kabob now, and their Afghan food is good. New ownership so it’s a bit in progress with new paint and getting orders correct. The pizza is generally good and we’ve ordered for years. Their kabobs are very good with their spicy chutney, and the rice is tasty. The potato bolani tastes excellent. I ordered pizza, kabobs and bolani for pickup and unfortunately they forgot the bolani and had to turn on the oven and took about 35 minutes more. The owner apologized and didn’t charge for it. It was delicious. Unfortunately the pizza had been sitting for over 35 minutes and wasn’t as good. I will give them another chance and think they will get better.

AFGHANFOOD! I have no clue why they don’t have a banner outside advertising they have awesome Afghan food here. Nice and friendly family run restaurant! Found this place by accident while walking towards a deli in the same complex. They have awesome kabobs and wraps and doug yogurt drink. Prices are very reasonable. A vegetarian wrap or lunch item like falafals or something would be good too.

I am updating my review again because of new ownership. I give it 4 stars for my most recent lunch experience. My friend had the kobideh wrap which was juicy and tender. The bread was soft and fresh. The meat was sautéed with peppers, tomatoes and onions. The sauce was creamy. Overall, a very delicious wrap. I had a slice of pizza with chicken and tomato. You can choose up to 3 toppings. Turns out a slice is really 4 pieces! The pizza was made fresh and came out perfectly crispy. Thin crust just the way I like. I didn’t order pepperoni so the grease factor was non existent. The chicken was marinated almost like a chicken kabob. Yum! My friend also tried the Afghan ice cream. It’s like vanilla with Rose water and pistachio stuff on too. It was good even though I’m not a fan of rose water but the flavor was mild. This is a great hole in the wall and I hope the current owners stay put!

The pizza is okay. They are very cheesy. They do give a huge slice but if toppings are added it tends to become quite expensive. L: I like their kabobs. They are quite flavorful and they do give you a lot for the plate. It comes along with rice, salad and pita. Although the pita seems to be more like just the pizza crust than a real pita. P: The pizza is your standard new york pizza. Thin, crunchy, and cheesy, but not greasy like others. The slices are huge and they are not skmipy on the toppings. They also serve kabobs which are okay. The owner is always nice and very friendly.

Had another all meat pizza on Sunday night. Had only two drinks so I could Unilocal honestly what I thought of the pizza and I gotta say, it ain’t half bad. Yay! I’m a fan still.

The first time was okay — cheap and filling and reasonably edible. The second time was blech. Is blech a word? It should be. Soggy crust, metallic-tasting sauce, and not much else. Don’t know if it was a bad night or standard fare, but we won’t be back.

It’s a hole-in-the-wall, but their pizza is top notch. I love thin crust pizzas because of the high cheese to crust ratio. This place never fails to hit the spot when I crave pizza. It’s cheap and portions are huge.

3 and a half stars if Unilocal would allow it. I’ve been eating this place for years. I used to drop by for a slice after middle school, and I am now 22. This place makes a pretty good slice of pizza. There are a slew of toppings to choose from, and you can get them all on one colossal pie if you like. The pizza is good, yes, but I have too many gripes to keep this from a 4 star rating: 1. I don’t believe this place deserves to call them self by this name. The pizza isn’t even in the same league as real New York pizza. 2. Free soda with a slice? Ok that’s great, but why not any alternatives for non-soda drinkers? I know there are more of us out there than just me. 3. It’s not always 100% clean. 4. Delivery times are too slooooooow. I still eat here often, but Amici’s is my favorite pizza in the area when I want to splurg a bit.

Adam Corolla is right. Pizza and sex are similar. You’ll have sub par sex, because it’s sex. The same goes for pizza. Some times you have crazy, hood-of-the-car monkey sex, and sometimes you have Chuck E. Cheese’s. New York Pizza is somewhere in between. In my neighborhood, we have a wonderful hole-in-the-wall pizzeria that I prefer. I don’t know as much about Pleasanton. So when I ended up working an 18 hour day between my job and helping my husband at his job, I decided cooking was a crappy idea. He called and ordered a large pepperoni, sausage and green pepper pizza. They said 45 minutes. An hour and a half later it arrives. By then I was a hypoglycemic bitch on the verge of chewing on my leather shoes. I’m so picky about New York style pizza. Sure, I get the thin crust thing, that’s cool. But I like the bottom a little crisp with the upper part of the crust chewy. This drooped like Liberace looking at a naked picture of Shannon Tweed. It was barely warm. It was soggy. However, the sauce and toppings rocked. There was a perfect balance of cheese to toppings, and the sauce was tart and distinctive. I won’t get delivery again. I may go in to try it fresh, though.

My kids love this place. This is the only place they let me order take-out pizza from. My favorite thing about this place is they have such a good attitude and policy about coupons and specials. They’ve even taken a competitor’s coupon from me when I didn’t have one of theirs. When you order for delivery, they’ll even tell you what their current coupons are if you tell them you don’t have one, and they then honor the coupon price. I’m not a big«New York thin crust» fan so can’t feel okay about giving them five stars. Otherwise they have good pizza, great prices, great service and huge slices.

EW We got this yesterday since EVERY single restaurant was closed on xmas day. Not even the obilgatory chinese restaurants(A Christmas Story). I didn’t feel like cooking since I cooked for 20 relatives on xmas eve. We were starving so we said okay NY pizza. Well first it’s $ 10 for delivery. And it took forever. But I didn’t care because they were open! Well the food was gross. I couldn’t even eat it. We got a large pizza and buffalo wings. Well the pizza was VERY cheesy and had practically no sauce. yuck. The buffalo wings were the worst though. They were just deep fried chicken wings with black pepper on them — WTF? No red hot sauce(buffalo sauce) and they were super greasy. :( We were so hungry that our standards were really low and they still disappointed.
