Caffino

9÷2÷2012 Stopped by around 11 am today (Sunday). Ordered an iced latte. Employee (looking very tired) goes to fridge and tells me they are out. I asked what are you out of? Employee states cold espresso shots and other things, said «I’m working alone». Just lost me as a customer. Went to McDonald’s across the street.

This Caffino place was marked as closed, HOWEVER, my partner and I just stopped by a few days ago and they are most definitely open.
There are plenty of options to choose from. I had the light Peppermint Mocha, and he had the Chai Tea Latte. Both of them were incredibly delicious. I read on the other page that the drinks here are like liquid ice cream. I cannot disagree on that one… these drinks are loaded with sugar, but are really worth treating yourself to.
The prices may be a bit high in my opinion, but it’s a small business, and it seems reasonable.

They are not closed! Yummy iced caramel latte and it was a bit pricey but the medium was larger then I thought.

I *heart* Caffino for many reasons. One of many hearkens back to my childhood where my mom’s unhealthy obsession with coffee birthed my unhealthy obsession with blended iced coffee drinks!
This location along with many others all over the Bay Area are great in both service and product. Each time I’ve visited has been with a smile and my very tasty obsession which usually entails something chocolate and mint. Mmmmm

This is my new favorite coffee place! Starbucks who?
I first tried it out because I live off Santa Rita and was late for work and needed coffee fast. I didn’t have time to wait in line at the bucks. I pulled in and was greeted by some genuinely nice and happy employees. I paid and was out of there, my coffee in hand, within 3 minutes. Doesn’t get much better. The espresso tasted great and I didn’t question whether my drink was made correctly or not.
I’ve since made this my regular place. The people who work there are consistently friendly and even give my dog a doggie treat when he’s in the car with me.
The espresso definitely tastes different than some of the bigger coffee shops, but personally I think it’s better. I’ve tried the vanilla latte (my regular drink), the chai latte (sooo good), and a regular latte and I liked every drink. Every time I go, my coffee is made correctly and I’m out of there fast, even of there’s people ahead of me in line. Makes my morning much easier.
I love this place.

They’re always very friendly, it’s super convenient off the freeway, and the drinks are always consistently good (unlike starbucks which to me can sometimes be hit or miss)
Also, if you’re not in the mood for coffee they make a refreshing cherry lime fresco.

So disappointed I use to go here all the time. No more :-(. Went today asked for a 16 oz iced latte and was told they no longer have them, but it was happy hour so i get a upgraded size. Not really what i like but went for the bigger size anyway, well it was all milk it was just nasty and it pains me to say I will not return.

Always extra hot, fresh and delicious. The employees have changed (new), old staff was much more friendlier but the coffee hasn’t changed!

Not bad iced mocha. Other than that just your standard espresso spot.

Place has really gone downhill with staff changes over last few months. Can barely get a smile out of them. Also, I consistently (no joke) have the same worker say «we are out of that» when I ask for one of the pastries. A second later the other staffer will correct her and tell her the actually do have it. Not recommended.

Caffino coffee too expensive.
Over charged compare to other coffee shops.
Not very friendly employes are working.
Do i want to go there again? Nooo
I just rather to go Starbucks next time.

I’m in love with their RED VELVET CAPPUCINO. I’m not sure if it’s a permanent drink though. Service is fast and usually friendly. This is their best location. Don’t go to the location on Hesperian in Hayward, they’re crap. I love that I can get my coffee fix without getting out of my car and the coffee is much better than Starbucks.

Caffino last for me was a simple trip to get a cup of joe. no mo.
recent arrivals include scones, muffin, and bagels too? there’s also that free shot of expresso. haven’t figure that one either. a small joe is 16 ounces now. (i can see this cutting into subsidized water for the farmers and getting them upset.)
service: excellent. the «fat» lady hit all the notes regarding black, full coffee, cream & sugar, giving change, giving me that big smile and wishing me a happy … day.
pour: «small» joe, 16 oz, 1.90
–smoother than a baby’s … ok, just a metaphor. not going there.
–no harshness, betten than blonder n pike’s peak.
–organic beans.

–3 people in booth, 2 lanes, fast service.
–booth configured about right, easy to get in & out.

We were on the go and needed to get a jolt. I stopped by this place on our way out toward the Sierras. It was fairly inexpensive, the service was great, and it was quick.
When we went the drive– thru was empty, but I can imagine it being a nightmare during the early morning. None the less, I would get myself a cup of coffee here again because of its convenience and service.
Their Americano was decent. Hot as hell like coffee should be!
Their coffee was OK, but it could be better, but to some convenience is everything and that is exactly what it is at Caffino.

Better than starbucks, yes I know, shocking!
Cheaper, better quality, less fattening, better staff! Even my younger family members would rather get their drinks here.
The only 2 things starbucks has over this place is seating, and longer night hours.

I work for Peet’s coffee so you would think that if I needed a caffeine «fix» I could stop by work right? Obviously.
Unfortunately, I’m not really a coffee drinker so this review isn’t about coffee. The drinks that I have had here hot chocolates & smoothies have been quite good.
Most of my 4-​stars are because of convenience, convenience. It’s right off I-​580… How can you go wrong?

because sometimes there are reasons I want to remain in my car
(in a rush, hair is not done, etc…) and I’m craving a bagel. This location needs to stock up more on bagels! You would certainly have my business and I’m sure they wouldn’t go to waste.

Staff is always friendly and welcoming. I never have to sit long to get my coffee. Their coffee tastes great. I come back over and over :) I love drive thrus when I’m in a hurry to get to work. They also give you an extra shot of espresso for free– just ask!

Lovely workers, they always ask how my day is going and actually wait to hear the response. Never had a poorly made drink and they are quick and efficient. Sure, it’s pricy, but no more so than Starbucks and I appreciate not having to get in and out of the car. The location can be difficult because people drive like morons in this parking lot, but that’s not Caffino’s fault.

I looove caffino! Free extra shot of espresso?! I’m sold. The employees are friendly and not too perky… perfect. And there is never a line. Plus you’re not supporting some monster corporation, like Starbucks. It reminds me of Coffee Kiosk in Valencia, which is probably the only thing I miss about that town.
If you don’t have time for Peet’s, Caffino saves the day!

Running late for work? Oh well, there’s always time for a Caffino run… c’mon, its drive thru! That’s automatic 4 stars right there! The usual is the Classic Carmel Latte… the only hard decision is. Do I want hot or Iced? Awww Dilemmas soo early in the morning!
I hit up this caffino M-​F, since it’s very close to work. I’m glad they have one of these in my town… another alternative to the local Starbuckeroos! Fast and Friendly… Great service everytime!
