Interesting menu that I wouldn’t consider«traditional» California Mexican food. They are trying to do a fusion, which isn’t something I’m looking for when I get Mexican food. The burritos vary only on the kind of meat. I got the Cajun Chicken burrito with refried beans. The rice was bland, but the seasoning was good on the chicken(if you enjoy Cajun seasoning in your Mexican burrito). Service was meh. I walked in and was acknowledged by anyone at the counter for a good 5 min. Not really satisfied with«Don’t» Pedro’s Burritos

Stopped in to try this place because it was close and I was in need of tacos. It was lunchtime and there were big crowds at the sandwich shop, the bbq place and the kabob house, but only one person eating and one in line at this place. That should have been my first clue. Stood waiting in line for at least 10 minutes while the lady running the cash register talked in Spanish to the guy in front of me, laughing and having a great time. When he was done ordering she fuddled with the register for another 5 minutes without even looking at me or saying anything. She finally looked up and asked if I wanted to order. No, not really, I usually go to restaurants to stand in line needlessly and then leave. I was starving and there, so I ordered one of each of their tacos — beef, chicken, and lamb. Took another 10 — 15 minutes to cook the food, which is a pretty long time for tacos. While waiting 2 other folks showed up and stood in line while the lady had her back turned to the register and was messing with her phone or texting or something. Then I watched as she handled someone’s food after handling cash and dirty dishes and didn’t wash her hands in between. Not part of the food safety program that I remember learning. Finally got my food and upon opening the container I was surprised by a couple of things — the tacos were much larger than expected and they had lots of lettuce on them. Lettuce? No chopped cilantro and onions? The meats were grilled, but lacked much in the way of flavor and the lettuce really detracted from what little flavor the meat and pico had. I couldn’t find much in the way of cilantro or any mexican seasonings or marinade. The salsas were ok for the most part, but the tortillas and chips were not. Food-wise it was just meh, and I ended up throwing most of it away. Lastly, I can’t say that the stomach upset and diarrhea that I had all night was from their food, but it sure seems coincidental. Needless to say I won’t be back. My guess is a very early end to this establishment.

Pretty decent place to grab a burrito for lunch. I think they are still figuring some things out since they’ve only been open a few weeks. I like the one with French fries in it, I wouldn’t want that every time but it’s a fun bit of fusion. Extra points for pissing off the«gluten intolerant» reviewer

Don Pedros won’t blow your socks off, but they are a solid, authentic Mexican food option for this business park. They cook the food fresh per order and, for the price($ 6 – 8), you have full access to their chips and salsa bar. Chips aren’t fresh made but you are welcome to help yourself to more than one bag, and the salsas include a yummy guac salsa, and a mild, red, green, and some other one. They offer spinach, flour, wheat, or tomato tortillas and their items with steak are are well-grilled and flavorful. If you want your Mexican food at a better price & quantity than Baha Fresh, go to Don Pedros! If you don’t quite want to spend Mexico Lindo entrée prices, go to Don Pedros! The hostess behind the register will greet you with a smile, offer chips to go, answer any questions about what’s inside certain items, and even explain the SpotOn Rewards system that they are a part of. They have wifi and it’s a clean, friendly place.

Gave this place a try today. Completely unimpressed. I went it to order. There was maybe 1 person sitting and one at the chip bar. I am gluten intolerant. I asked the woman at the counter(short hispanic woman) if the Vegetarian Burrito was GLUTEN free. She looked befuddled. I repeat Gluten free. She looked even more confused. I repeated it again and she said Oh yeah yeah and then mumbled something. Stupid me, I thought if someone is working in the Food Industry they would know what GLUTEN is by now. Then I noticed that they were making my burrito with a WHEAT wrap. Oy vey! These people are stupid. That mall complex is really a dump and since they cant get people to speak English and know what they are serving. Id say avoid this place. I gave the burrito to a co-worker after scraping some of the vegetables out. By the way, they cook on the same grill as everything else, so not Gluten Free, not vegetarian. Now at High Tech Burrito, while not very well versed either, the managerish looking woman suggested getting it in a bowl. Don Pedro is a fast cheap, not so tasty, option for the corporate slaves that work behind the complex, but I see more of them going across the way to the new mall complex. Adiós Don Pedro.
