I thought that KFC was a fast food restaurant and every time I go there they do not have any chicken drives me crazy I do not know how this place stays in business I think the manager should be over 18 years old besides the place being very unsanitary looking

Very poorly run business. I think the employees try but they are always out of chicken or not enough. Why do I still come back.

We have lived in the area for over 3 years, and I have never had a good experience with this KFC until today. I was very hesitant to go because of the history, but my husband finally convinced me because he said there was new management and I had to give it another try. This time, we decided to eat inside instead of going through the drive thru. We were greeted immediately when we walked in by the new manager EJ, and our orders were taken right away. I had ordered a pot pie meal, and I asked if it was going to take the typical 10 minutes to cook, and he told me that they had hot cooked ones ready to go. WHAT!!! I was floored because that NEVERHAPPENS. He was professional, friendly, accommodating and quick! Our order was ready shortly after we sat down, and it was hot and fresh! For each guest that came in after us, they had the same exact experience. EJ& the other manager(sorry didn’t catch his name), have done an AMAZING job turning this around. I really hope it lasts, as the previous staff was so horrible that I had refused to ever come back here again.

How do you advertise a 20 family fill up and have no chicken! This is the second time I’ve been there and you were out of white meat, so I agree to legs and thighs only to come back we only have wings 15 – 20 min wait forget it give me my money back went elsewhere for dinner! Oh and the soda machine was out. How do you stay in business?

I am commenting on Marina W’s review. Yes we expect customer satisfaction. If KFC wants the business they need to keep their restaurant presentable and clean. So what if a customer gets stuff on the floor that happens. So there just going to leave it on the floor for the next customer, really. It’s their duty to clean up after the customers. No one wants to sit in a dirty, filthy restaurant. If they can’t keep the area clean, maybe they shouldn’t have seating. Closing the drive thru to train people would be totally ridiculous. I’m sure they could find another way to train new people. Are they going to shut the whole restaurant down just to train people, I think not. The drive thru was created for convenience. So if we choose not to walk in, too lazy, tired, just don’t feel like getting out of the car to park and walk in or whatever the reason may be, that’s the purpose of having the drive thru. And if they run out of chicken and side items right before closing, maybe they should just close early. My last visit at KFC was not a good one. The cashier was not friendly, and this is not the first time. When I walked in, I could tell he had an attitude and didn’t want to be there. I should of left, but I thought I’d give it a chance. What a mistake. My side items were half filled for whatever reason and that wasn’t the first time either. So if they were trying to make me not come back ever again, it worked.

Okay, this is an updated review. I’ll skip the long story and cut to the chase. I gave this place ONEMORETRY before totally giving up on KFC entirely. It turns out, there are all new faces working there now. None of the people I saw before are there any more. I asked the drive-thru guy why they had everything hot and ready when I ordered it, because I’m usually told they’re out of this, out of that, you have to wait 22 minutes for that to cook because it’s in the freezer, blah blah blah. He told me, «Oh I’m so sorry! Yes, we are under new management and all of those problems are GONE». So I told myself, okay, I will put them to the test. So I did. I went back three different times to order the exact same thing which is very«customized». It’s a good test to see if they are able to handle an order that is not just a, «Give me a number one and a Coke». My order is very specific, and they have handled it every time(four times) with no problem. So I really, really hope that things will stay like this from now on. Pleasanton only has one KFC, and this particular store has been giving KFC a VERY bad reputation for the 18 years that I’ve lived here. I should note that when I did complain to the OLD manager, she told me that she would send me a coupon for a free meal since the last one I got was not even edible. It was cold, and there was solid FAT caked on all around the chicken. It was so disgusting.(Just to make sure I’m being clear, I’m talking about the old KFC management — not the new one). But that coupon never came and nobody ever did follow-up for the inedible meal that I had to throw away. There was nothing in there that I could eat. Literally. And that was a first for me — I’ve never had to toss an entire meal because the whole thing was rotten. But anyway, I did tell the NEW manager this story and that I was never taken care of and he said oh wow, that’s too bad. He’s a nice guy, don’t get me wrong — and he is doing a GREAT job! But what he should have done was say, «Oh, well then let me take care of that for you. I’m sorry the old management never followed-through with their promise, but I will take care of it for you». My complaint is very easy to find because I did not complain to the store. I complained to the corporate office using KFC’s main web page. I heard back from the corporate office, and they told me that I had two choices: 1) Have corporate send me a coupon for a free three piece meal, all breast meat, original recipe, with three sides and a drink, OR, 2) Corporate could forward my complain to them and allow them to handle it at the local level. Well, you live and learn. I should have taken Option 1, but instead I took Option 2 thinking«local was better». It wasn’t. And I understand that the new management has nothing to do with how poorly the place was run before. However, if I was the manager and someone told me this story, there would be no hesitation at all in me saying, «I’m so sorry sir, I will take care of this meal for you — it’s on us — and I’m sorry you had problems with the previous employees who are now gone», or something along those lines. That’s not asking a lot is it? But again, I do want to emphasize that these new guys have done a great job in cleaning up this place. It has been the dirtiest, filthiest, most disgusting KFC I’ve ever been to in the WORLD. Yes, the world. I’d always walk out of there with my shoes sticking to the pavement because of all the spilled soda on the floor by the self-service machine. And I know what a good KFC looks like and how it runs — just go to Dublin where it’s a combined KFC/A&W Root Beer place. Always clean. Food always hot and fresh. No issues. Okay, I’ve said what I needed to say. I hope the new managers read this so they can understand what happened, and how I was left hanging after I complained to corporate. I’m sure they could contact corporate themselves to verify my story. My name is attached to this review, and I live in Pleasanton — so they should be able to look that up. I hope they do — that would be great! Thanks for listening.

Chicken tasted old and dry. It was almost inedible… Soda machine hasn’t worked on the few times we have been there… I’d say there are much better ways to spend your money than here

We never learn. Usually they are just out of chicken and have no selection. Tonight, the store was closed and a sign on the door said the drive thru only was open. Then said they had no drumsticks and would give us 2 thighs. Got home, and had a thigh and shriveled up wing in each — looked like they had been cooked several hours ago and were dried up. The biscuits could be used as a hockey puck they were so hard. Whoever owns this franchise should fire everyone or hire some qualified workers. The one in Dublin is fine, but this one absolutely stinks!

Took my two granddaughters here at their request. This was my first and last visit. There were more flies than people in the dinning area. This place is filthy and I am amazed that the Health Department allows them to stay in business. I had to give them one star in order post otherwise they would have received a big fat ZERO from me…

How does this place pass inspection? Well actually, it has had many a violation. You can go here: and see for yourself. This visit took place a couple of months ago. I didn’t write about it then because I forgot my Unilocal password and I had a lot going on. However, the experience still hasn’t left my mind and I’m pretty sure they haven’t changed much. I had never been to this location before as I live in Livermore. Unfortunately the one KFC that was close to our house shut down some time ago, and I miss it. The other Livermore location is way on the other side of town. It would take me forever to get there during dinner time because of altamont traffic. We only went to this Pleasanton location due to my daughter having a performance in Pleasanton, and it was on the way home. Our family of four decided to hit up the drive through, only to find it closed. Apparently, they didn’t have enough staff or something. OK… Inconvenient but we decide to park and we walk in. We find a line that is about 6 people long. This is when you have the time to stand there and notice the filth you are all of sudden ankle deep in. I felt so gross standing there I can’t even describe it. This is when some teenagers walk in and take a seat at one of the tables. The manager promptly storms over to them and proceeds to tell them to «get the fuck out of my store!» Now I am sure there is a history and a story behind it all, however for me standing there as a first time visitor, already disgusted with the place, to have the manager scream obscenities in front of my children did not bode well with me. I decided to take the kids and wait in our vehicle while the husband continued to stand in line. Now we are out front of the joint, in our vehicle, and I am witnessing an employee and about 4 or 5 others puffing away on the cigarettes, right in front of the entrance door. WTF. Don’t bash me about smokers. My husband smokes. But I think he has more common sense than to stand right outside the entrance to a restaurant with children present just puffing away like shit don’t matter. 20 minutes later he finally emerges with«food». They were out of mac & cheese. They were out of fries. Amazingly they had«chicken». To make up for everything they gave us about 20 sporks and a pound of butter spread for the rock hard cold biscuits and the cold mashed potatoes. I agree with Don W’s review, someone from KFC corporate needs to do something here! I second that it’s the nastiest dirtiest slowest KFC around. Never ever will I ever go back there. Ever.

My experience can’t be repeated by all, otherwise they would not be in business. And by the evidence of the décor, they’ve been in business a long time. A KFC that runs out of chicken doesn’t remain on my recommended list.

I had a meeting with my old client this morning at KFC! We end up got some food at here. My favorite is hot wings. I love KFC because I used to work here. You know you can’t expect so much from fast food restaurant, but KFC is the most fast food store I love. Give them a change to improve more.

So who ever is working the drive through really should get some manners. And remember when manning the mike put it on mute before you start talking smack about the person ordering. He seemed to not be able to hear me so I spoke up and he started making rude comments about me being crazy. We are currently waiting outside for our order. I swear it wasnt much I didn’t think it was complicated. However we are on 15 minutes. We were stuck in traffic thought hey why not waste some time and give my business to kfc… yeah I will rethink it next time. Went there for lunch a few days ago. long wait to order. Reason. .? Only one person working at lunch time. he was taking orders. Taking money.. Making food. Awful service. Then out of corn on the cob.. At lunch time? So opted for Kernel corn. he forgot that in my bag. and napkins and utensils. Had to get back in line and wait another 8 – 10 minutes to go through line again. food cold too to top it off. yuck KFC. Do something about this franchise

Dear KCF, I am thankful that you deep fry turkeys. I am thankful that you saved me from potentially burning my face off or house down because you sell fried turkeys. I thankful that your fried turkeys taste as good as I imagined and were fall off the bone tender. I am thankful that your fried turkey meal costs $ 60 but will opt for the just the turkey($ 50) next time because I am not as thankful for your mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits, and coleslaw.
