What’s that smell that hits you in the face when you walk in? Lost my appetite due to smell of old wet clothes that never dried… not the classic taqueria smell I can was hoping for.

First and foremost, this is not Las Fuentes(atleast the name changed). Its not a great place to sit and eat, its cold inside, they have to fix their heating system. We ordered fish taco and Enchilladas, taco combo. Fish taco is decent, while Enchillada combo which is priced high at 13 bucks is way sub par. I dont like shredded chicken if it has raw flavor, I left the taco without eating for the same reason. When you are charging 13 bucks for Enchillada at a place which does nt give you a restaurent feel, the only option you have to impress is the quality of ingredients. The quality of cheese, meat and taco are about ok at max .I had to sprinkle salt over my enchillada to make it less bland. Chips and Salsa are nice . Suggestions: Keep the tables, silverware neat. Fix the heating system. Check out your rating graph over the last 2 months.

I wish I had read the reviews before going here. The last order we ordered made sure to tell him atleast multiple times that we need sour cream on the side and extra they took the payment for the extras and also the told them about the mole sauce i dint get any of the food customized. When we called to complain they were so rough to do not even admit it. in fact told us they never make mistakes. It definitely seems like they pack and keep it and just microwave and give it. Also the name change is just the marketing trick its still the same owner no difference.

New owner, new menu, new cook. We frequently visited this restaurant but after this last visit we will not be back. Service and food has been going downhill for several months. And this last visit was the straw that broke the camels back. I give this place a couple months and predict it will close for good. Too bad because they had awesome tacos. :(

WARNING — THISISNOLONGERLASFUENTES! It is called Taqueria Don Chepe! My co-workers and I were placing an order to pick up, when our regular order, a combination plate with two enchilada’s and a taco, was no longer available. I was a little surprised. They now have set menu items, that cannot be changed. Sounded strange, but hey the food has always been good, so we went with it. This combination plate comes with rice, beans, sour cream and guacamole. Myself and two co-workers, just us three, asked that there be no sour cream, no guacamole and no rice. Figured it would be easiest to make all the requests the same. During our order, the gentlemen taking the order, was continually speaking to people in the background, and would then say the wrong thing, that we ordered. Before we hung up, we asked him to ready our order back to us. It was right. We go to pick up the order, and they have it all tied up in a bag, ready to go. We are about 1 mile from the place, and it was not hot to begin with. We open the bag at the office, to find everything had sour cream, guacamole and rice! I know mistakes happen, but really? All three? They didn’t think to check them before bagging them? Upon closer inspection, it looked like they had prefilled the to-go boxes, and then would stick them in a microwave when ordered. I figured that is probably what they are doing, since they will not change any of their combination plates. They must be preassembled. The tortillas were touch and hard, these are the regular soft corn tortillas. The meat was dry and had no taste. How are enchilada’s dry??? Beans were from a can, and tasted horrible! Half of our food went in the trash because of the sour cream, guacamole and rice, and the other half wasn’t worth eating after a couple of bites! I loved Las Fuentes, and if you did too, I am here to tell you to stay far away from this new place! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Super restaurant with waiters and cooks that were very accommodating of vegetarians. We had five dishes between us and all of them were great. The homemade corn tortillas were thick, soft, and hearty — just what we wanted!

Just very mediocre Mexican food. Mediocre chips. Mediocre verging on downright bad burrito.

Found this place through Unilocal. My sister and I were craving authentic Mexican food and so we were in the area and decided to try it out. Wel… Twoup they took care of us the moment we walked in. Clean place and the refried beans don’t taste like canned beans for once! Love this place! We’ll be coming back! Gracias!

Staff is really really really friendly. These guys try hard! However I did not care for the ambiance. This should be an «order at the counter» sort of place. But it is sit down. Did not care for their salsa or chips. Ordered the fajita combo. Asked gor no cheese. Got cheese. Sizzling fajitas came out before rest including tortillas. Had to wait for that. Came with only 3 tortillas. Asked for more. They forgot it but remembered when check got brought. Then I got two more for which I as it turned out to got charged. Nothing totally horrible but I won’t go there again. No not cheap, fast, awesome door or atmosphere.

I have been known to let out a «hallelujah» or «can I get a witness!!!» after eating some banging tacos, food moves me. But I kinda feel like I have had a mega church experience when I walk in here based on the music. Which would be fine if I were walking into a mega church and not a restaurant. So after realizing that this was the new norm(my last three visits) for this restaurant I consider this place a to-go place. Hearing«into his arms», «I will follow him», «take his hand», «he will show you the way», over and over is a bit much. I am more of a Separation of Church and Tacos kind of gal. But that is not the main reason for this update/star demotion. The food has not been great recently. The last two times the chips were stale or over cooked, pupusas are greasy, and the tacos are something I can make on my own. Last nights tacos had grilled chicken chunks… far cry from the yummy shredded/marinated chicken I was used to in the past. The people who work here are super nice and welcoming though so I will only take off one star.

Crappy 1st impression, won’t be back. –was charged $ 9 for 4 drinks! I thought we went to a taqueria not Morton’s! –tables were dirty –They flat out forgot one of our entrees. We thought they were behind sched but no… they forgot!

Not really an authentic Mexican restaurant, but what can you expect when you’re in Pleasanton? I ordered the shrimp tostada and it came with refried beans. I have NEVER had a tostada with beans, and had I known it came with it, I wouldn’t have ordered it. Luckily, my fiancé switched his fajitas with me, as he knows I don’t eat/like beans. Fajitas were okay, but not something I’d come back for. We’ll be up here a lot planning our wedding, the search for a legit Mexican spot continues!

I am really torn based on all the positive reviews so I am going to really throw this place a bone and give them a a 3 star only based on the chips & salsa and me feeling a little generous based on it was Cinco de Mayo. This place is pretty small and quant which is fine and kind of a hole in the wall which is also fine but some downers for me where. –No beer or win and no margaritas –Service not that great and very annoying that I had to ask multiple times for my guacamole 3x –Asked for no refried beans still got refried beans –Food was cold Positives: Young guy working his butt off really hustling trying to make people happy.(Reason I left him the nice tip.) Sorry if this is the best Pleasanton has to offer for Mexican food this would be very sad. I have been to several other places around here and wanted this place to be great based on the reviews, but on this 5th night in May it was not happening.

Ok, just stopped here on the way home from a perfect road trip in the Sierras. First the young man taking our order was more concerned with closing out the register than attempting to get our orders correct. After multiple tries in both English and fluent Spanish we thought we were good. My cheese enchilada was a hard microwaved lump in a tortilla, black beans tasted rancid as if cooked with meat and taco was worthless. Ended up tossing it all except the chips and salsa. My friends meal was just as bad. Worst Mexican food ever!

We came here because we wanted to try out some taquerias in the area. This one got really good reviews so we thought we’d give it a shot. The inside of the place is pretty nice. Not like typical taquerias. It has a very open feel — large wood benches for seating and tvs covering sports. Veggie — super burrito: this was pretty yummy. They stuffed it with a lot of lettuce though. Chicken super burrito: the chicken was a little inconsistent so it was just okay. Sauces: These were legitimate sauces. You can tell that they were not store bought. They made the burritos taste so much better. All in all, pretty decent experience but I’ll probably keep looking for my favorite taqueria.

Who doesn’t love good ‘olé Mexican food? I certainly love it. Before getting delicious soft serve at Meadowlark, we decided to grub on some delicious downtown P-town Mexican food. Compared to neighboring locations, it’s also waaaaaay cheaper.(i.e. Blue Agave or Alberto’s) Bf got a super burrito, but I chose the delicious vegetarian burrito(only $ 5). Let me just say, both sizes are HUGE. My veggie burrito was a regular size and I could only manage to eat about 2⁄3 of it. Either way it was a refreshing taste of Mexican cuisine. Pretty impressive. Might come back if I’m in the area, but honestly Livermore has the best Mexican food in my opinion!

Lunch specials looked good but I had the combo(shredded beef burrito and chicken enchilada) for $ 9.65. Not a bargain at all since Mexican fare like this shouldn’t be expensive. And i wonder why put rice and beans in a burrito on a plate… where rice and beans is also served. But both were actually good, and well seasoned. I just wish the visual presentation had been more interesting. The enchilada looked like it had been thrown on the plate, with the tortilla wrinkly and old. The burrito needed some extra sauce. Also terrific was the table salsa, almost warm and very spicy.

Authentic Mexican food right here! One of the best in Pleasanton Area. Street tacos are yummy! If you get the a la carte it comes with their homemade tortilla! I get there Carne Asada as well as the chicken they both taste great! Chips and Salsa are very taste and has a spicy kick to it! Definitely recommend!!!

Definitely the best Mexican I’ve had in the Bay Area in a long time. My friends who live in the Santa Cruz Mountains strongly recommended it and they were right. The Fried Fish was perfect; not too dry like most places make it or too garlicky. The burrito was also very good.

Best tasting tacos I have had. Both pork and chicken were incredible. Massive, great tasting burrito! Fantastic service! Cool little place with good parking. I loved it. Honolulu needs a Mexican place like this so much!!! The chips and salsa were great as well. Ok, can you tell I liked this place?!
