Very clean. Very busy, 6 minutes for a waitress at such a busy period of time was acceptable. Very efficient waitress. Good portions for price. Try to eat there at least once/twice a week… a.m. and noon times. Ray

Hadn’t been to an ihop in a while, so took the kids and wife. Even with open tables, we waited 5 minutes for a waitress, so flagged one to help. She asked the waitress mapped to our section and was told to take us. Server Jackie was sweet and polite. When ordering meal we learned they were out of ice cream for milkshakes, out of soup, and the hot chocolate machine was broken. I wonder what else is not available on the menu. Food arrived. Asked the expediter for silverware and napkins. Took so long I just stood up and grabbed silverware from the nearest waitress station. They forgot to brig an entrée and one side — waitress was flagged a couple minutes later and brought out. Overall good was average, however in line with what we expected and were searching for. Upon leaving you pay at the front booth. There was a line to pay and only one employee taking payments while another employee was happily chatting with an employee who was not in dress, forcing us to wait to pay. Bottom line — service is abysmal, food average. With so many options around, we will find other places to eat. IHOP ought to search for a manager with a more hands on approach. In reading a prior post, one writes that the manager was over friendly with the formal staff — wonder if he is the cause of the issues here.

I have been to this IHOP several times over the past two months and I must say each time I am less impressed. I have been there for both breakfast and lunch and I must say breakfast is better for service and that is not saying much. I must admit I am an extremely observant person and will continually be looking around the restaurant. The staff seems very confused as to whom should be serving which tables and sometimes you can just keep waiting until someone finally comes over and asks if anyone has been by yet. On one visit I literally watched 5 young servers standing around playing with each others’ hair — by this I mean taking their pony tails out playing with the other person’s hair. Then I realized they were doing this over where they were supposed to be putting silverware bundles together. I was thankful that I already had silverware on the table. No managers were paying any attention to this or the fact that people were sitting at tables waiting for service. Even when I go for breakfast I literally have to catch someone’s eye before a server will come over. I don’t mind the food, but I wish they had smaller portions. I have taken to ordering from the children’s menu as I can’t eat all the food on the plate. Sometimes I end up with the adult portion although I have explained that I need to order from the children’s menu. I do notice that the male manager seems a bit over friendly with many of the young female servers. I don’t really seem him directing them to work and sometimes hangs out with the servers hanging around. He does seems to joking, laughing and touching them. As a 30 year HR veteran, I am amazed at his behavior. I will probably continue to go to IHOP because my dad likes to dine there every few weeks, but I will continue to try my hardest to go to other local places instead.

This was the nicest I hop I have ever been in. The food was delivers quick and was cooked well. The staff was polite and professional. If you want a cheap breakfast in a nice atmosphere with good service thus is the place to go. Bananas foster was excellent as well as the crepes.

Very family friendly kids half price on Tuesdays… they serve breakfast all the time and my kids get pancakes for dinner. Nice staff and manager is a nice guy… Its not gourmet food but the food is a great value. Also works for my low carb diet… Highly recommend it.

It’s an ihop, so if you’ve ever been to one you know what to expect for food. The staff was very friendly at this particular location, though never brought out our toast(and didn’t offer to remove it from the bill – we had to point out that we shouldn’t have to pay for something that never came out. The special pancakes at the time were cinnamon roll and they were wonderful.

At this point any IHOP is just a tragic story for me at this point. Ive been to a few ihops in the last few years, not of my own volition but dragged along by family that also got to share in the IHOP shady experiences along side me. Here is two background stories first, the third is the plymouth review IHOP in Bourne — Went to the IHOP in Bourne Ma, the one off the rotary. The place in general looks really old inside and dirty. The Staff looked as if they just woke up for the day and threw on whatever they felt like, hair a mess etc. The girl seats us, takes our orders comes back to hand my order to me with her thumb holding the top of the plate on top of the melted butter on the pancakes, eww. She puts the food on the table and before i can say anything she takes off in a hurry. The food was grisly and dry, i didnt even take one bite of it. we got up to leave and the girl rushed to the front of the IHOP to the register(why cant the register girl do it?) with no one to complain to(No managers in the building i was told) we just paid and left, we did complain on the IHOP website received a call back later that night, yeah night like 11 pm at night!!! The manager apologizing and offering a free meal. No thanks, with a place like that it should have been closed down. IHOP — Exit 12 route 3, Went to this Ihop on a whim. It was ok until we were served, now listen to this. we as in two people were served their meals on one plate! I’ve never in my life sat down and thought«hey, I have an idea lets eat off the same plate and share each others germs». We complained right away to the waitress and she did not get it, she went as far to talk down to my mother and actually started to talk to her like an infant, until my mother snapped at the girl and was about to tare her head off. The other people that sat next to us said how horrible she was and to complain and that we did to the manager but it fell on def ears, we just walked out. Now the IHOP in Plymouth Ma, Went to this place when it first opened and never will we go again as from all our friends have heard nothing but bad things about it ever since with similar horror stories. The food at this place was very bland and outright insulting to breakfast cooking. The cooking at IHOP is fool-proof so that most amateur cookers can cook there for a starter job. But apparently not here. The food was less than appetizing, we asked for ketchup at least 3 times but the waitress just kept forgetting. With not that many customers you’d think you would remember at least for the tip right? nope had to get it ourselves. The staff was very one dimensional, it was apparent they had no idea what to do or how to act in front of customers. Every once in a while friends tell me about their recent experiences here and how horrifying it was. Ill never go back to any IHOP.
The only way youd say this place is a great restaurant or even remotely good is if you have no idea what an actual good breakfast tastes and looks like. Stay away!

Nice IHOP. Couple of really nice servers, big parking lot. What else can I say? I’ve eaten here a bunch.

Very nice staff, good food. Only thing that sucks is when people bring their kids there and they’re loud. I hate children… Favorite server is Sam.

OK so I know what I’m getting into trying the new IHOP in Plymouth. It’s a chain diner and my family prefers more of a Mom and Pop place for breakfast. But we were out shopping early the Friday after Thanksgiving and decided to give it a go for a late breakfast. So we walked in and put our name down, there were about 15 or so people waiting ahead of us. I had to use the bathroom and as I walked to through the restaurant I counted 11 open tables. I saw the manager and asked him what was up with that. He said that they were all being cleaned and we would be seated very soon. We were and got a great table next to the entrance to the kitchen. Guess that’s what I get for opening my big mouth. The fare is the usual breakfast stuff which I thought was barely passable. The bacon was soggy and precooked, I know it was sitting in a warming try as it had turned to rubber. The ham was dry as it had probably been the same way too. The pancakes were small and overcooked. They were quite dry and needed a lot of syrup. One thing I do like is that they have four different types of syrup to choose from. I really liked the strawberry and blueberry. My wife’s scrambled eggs had a nice hair in them and the manager did the right thing by replacing her meal and comping it on the bill. Hair happens from time to time and they handled it correctly in my opinion. Our waitress was great, the manager did well too. The restaurant is new, clean and the bathroom was well maintained. But the food is just too cookie cutter. You don’t feel any love put into it and shows through. I don’t know maybe I should have tried a specialty omelet. I’d like to say I’ll do that next time, but there probably won’t be one at this location as Plymouth has many great breakfast places scattered around and that is where my bucks will be spent next time!

I love! HOP, I was disappointed when UNO’s closed from this location. But there are others I can go to. Waitress was very accommodating. Always nice to get«breakfast» anytime of day. I ordered the county omelet which has veggies and cheddar cheese. It also came with a stack of pancakes! Stuffed!

IHOP is a family friendly, large serving pancake and entrée placing ideal for vacationers who sleep in. You can have the equivalent of a brunch anytime during the day. Usually short or no lines, Sunday’s wait is about 20 min. The longer wait is managed well with seating moving and small samples available for waiting customers. Servers were experienced and efficient. We ate there most days during a vacation week and encountered only one time a waitress in training who was redoubling her efforts to serve us properly. She was not there yet but got an A for effort. The biggest problem with IHOP is one of self control — if that is indeed IHOPs problem. Lots of rich tempting food is available BUT the menu offers healthy choices that a health-conscious diner could choose. IHOP is not a fancy place so you should be ready for what they offer. For what they are supposed to be, they are as good as it gets. If you want something unique and local, the Plymouth area has better local options. If you want familiar, pancake and omelet options, go to IHOP.

Food and wait staff Ok, but you can get more for your money at PERSY’s and it is very loud. Hard to hear the person across from you! My son kept wanting to cover his ears.

Great experience at the new IHOP in Plymouth at the Shops at Five. Our hostess and server were very friendly. The Swedish crepes were absolutely delicious, with lingonberries and lingonberry butter. Scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage were all good too. The hash browns were also excellent. And to top it all off, all you can drink iced coffee! Our server brought over a refill without even asking! Go to and sign up for the Pancake Revolution, and you’ll receive a coupon for a free meal, plus one each year and one on your birthday! Plenty of parking and plenty of comfortable seating. Convenient location off of Long Pond Rd. Huge menu. Quick service. Will be back.

I gave this IHOP a 2 rating only because once we received our food it was very good.!! The service leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress kept apologizing for the wait stating, «the kitchen is very busy».!! Then I had a spill on the table and asked the bus boy if he’d clean it as he was wiping the table next to ours, he said he would and then disappeared, and our waitress looked less than happy to wipe it up either. I offered to do it if given more than 1 paper napkin. My other complaint was this… I got a meal that included meats 2 bacon and 2 sausage. I am a vegetarIan. I asked the waitress if I could forego the meats and have hash browns instead. Now we all know potatoes are cheaper than meats but she said it would cost extra for the substitution. So I gave my husband my meats and he gave me his hash browns to save on an additional cost. I was very disappointed in the service and their policy on substitution.!! Carol K, Plymouth MA
