Well it was good to get in out of the cold and sit down in a homey environment. The hot coffee, which I only ever drink black with no sugar, was amazing. It was all down hill from there. My wife likes to add maple syrup to her coffee. There menu boasts 100%pure maple syrup which they charge $ 2.99 for. After my wife added the maple syrup to her coffee, our six year old daughter noticed multiple ants stuck to the inside of the bottle. When we discretely informed our waitress she said, «your kidding!» and quickly whisked the syrup bottle and coffee away replacing it with fresh ones. This time my wife’s coffee cup was covered in lipstick, she wasn’t wearing any… I never received the pancakes that were supposedly included with my meal. The waitress did remove them from the bill no questions asked. My wife’s Caribbean crepes were also filled with ricotta cheese that was unusually tangy. When we payed the check and left my wife retrieved her coat from where she hung it when we sat down only to find that the heater nearby had burned her cuff and melted the lipstick in her pocket. Wow. What a series of unfortunate events. I hope our little off season getaway turns around soon. Sadly this has just been one more bad experience in a series of melancholy and sad events to befall us thus far in the first«vacation» we’ve taken in two years.

4 of my friends a I went out for breakfast yesterday afternoon on 2÷7÷16. We have always went to persys for breakfast for the last 10 years! It was one of the best breakfasts we have had in a long time, the food was absolutely perfect, and to top it off our waiter’s customer service was amazing! I believe his name was Josh, he was so friendly and helped us with all our questions about allergies and gluten free options! He showed amazing waitering skills that i have not seen in a long time, he would have no problem chatting with us or going on multiple trips back and forth to help us make our meal the best we’ve had. I give this restaurant 5 stars because the service and food was the best ive seen at any restaurant in a long long time! I will be back.

I went with a party of 4 plus my grandson for lunch on Sunday 1⁄31. The food was cold the home fries were burnt. I asked for new order? Never came? Josh the server was non responsive? My husband order waffles that should have came with strawberries and blueberries? Never told they were out and no adjustment on check? I will not return. Update new manager Sarah Roberts emailed me apologies and wanted to send gift certificate. Yet to receive and I have been assured in mail. Poor business practices. 2÷18÷16

Great food, terrible service. Don’t come if you’re on a schedule, it takes at least 20 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge you and take a drink order. Staff here is always changing and there never appears to be anyone in charge or management helping out. Empty tables covered in dirty plates and left over food and slow service outshine the good food. This place used to be a go-to and always packed, things have changed. Seems to be going under too bad because with properly trained staff this pace could be a gold mine!

It seems unfair that someone with such a limited amount of reviews can malign an eatery. Before you hand out a 1 star, especially on service, think about it please. So let’s start with«We’re not a chain business». Doesn’t work for Roger Berkowitz and doesn’t work here. It is a chain as soon as you go north of three locations. I ordered the hash benny with a side of home fries(or whatever the diced version was). Hollandaise was good and egg was perfectly poach. My only suggestion would have been to leave the hash on the grill longer as the flavor was good but consistency was off. I mentioned it to the server and she could not have been nicer. I was offered cornbread and a side of hash to take with me. Someone with such great customer skills should be lauded. I’ve eaten at Percy’s since moving to the south shore 25 years ago. Not a high brow experience but a solid job on delivering good food.

Decided to stop in here while on the way to the Rock. So glad I did. They claim they have the biggest breakfast menu in New England. That’s probably true. Food was great. Maple pancakes were great, corned beef was great, corn bread was great. The service was wonderful. I wish I would have gotten the waitresses name, because she amazing. Very sweet and helpful. Wicked good service

Twenty minute wait to be seated even though 2/3s of the tables were empty. My party of four then waited 10 minutes at our table before our server came over to take out drink order. Our food didn’t take too long to come out, but the eggs were hard and the pancakes were cold, hard, and crunchy. Like eating chips. My friend ordered the Hash Bomb, which sounded great on the menu. She ate about half of it, and decided she had enough. As we were walking out she had to go to the bathroom to vomit, she then threw up again when we got home. Her experience was a lot worse than mine, and mine wasn’t that great.

Persy’s in Plymouth turned out to be a great treat! We ordered the endless eggs with sides and they were wonderful. It is nice to find a nice restaurant that knows how to cook eggs properly. The only knock is that the staff is slow in checking on you while you waiting on order, which took 25 minutes to reach the table and I needed a refill on my coffee.

I went here with my daughter for lunch. We were seated and while we were waiting to order a couple came in and a family of 4. We sat and waited for 25 minutes to order while the waitress waited on the other people. We waited 20 more minutes for chicken fingers and fries and a waffle. My daughter had ordered home fries as well. We were served our food by a different person. Then waited and waited for the home fries and or a server. Neither one ever came. The manager, I think that is who was there, sat down at a table across from us and had a full blown discussion with the server that brought our food that seemed not to appropriate for my daughter. Our server came to both of the tables in the back several times. Not once did she ever come to our table to see if we needed anything or if anything was ok. By the time my daughter had finished her food her home fries never came. My food was so overly done that the sweet potato fries looked like well done regular fries. I don’t know if the server was new but she did not wait on us first, did not come back until she gave me the check. I told her that we had ordered home fries and asked if it were on the bill to please take it off. She looked, said oh it’s not on there and walked away. Nothing said, no I am sorry about that, no apology, no nothing. It took almost an hour and a half to eat lunch. I could understand if there was a mad rush. There was not. We went to use the restroom and I counted 10 people in the whole restaurant as customers including myself and my daughter. There were dirty dishes on the tables that I past on the way to the bathroom. The bathroom floors sounded like they were cleaned with syrup our shoes were sticking so bad. One of the stalls had so much paper in the toilet you couldn’t use it. An employee came in and used it and walked out. I think if there are employees milling around and have chat sessions when there definitely is enough work to be done. … I sent this exact letter to the restaurant I got one response apologizing and saying there were to be a free dinner on them. Nothing ever came. I don’t necessarily want to ever go back. It was a gesture if anything but never followed through which says a lot about a business. I have extended this to several people that I know and they will not even go there. Good business is word of mouth and this is definitely a place to skip.

Depending on what you get the prices vary from good to expensive. Also refills are not free here. I have been here many times and it is an alright place. The food is good and everything but some of the servers are terrible. The last time I went into this place with my girlfriend was about a week ago our server was Kacey. Upon entering we stood waiting until seated, it was just us and another gentlemen in the place. The food was great but Kacey our server never really came around that much and the worst part was Kacey kept walking around talking to her friend in the restaurant like it was her house and swearing every minute. Myself and my girlfriend are not the swearing type and her language was very vulgar. Kacey would eventually sit down with her friend at a table, i guess maybe she thought since we didn’t see her we couldn’t hear her. She just persisted on saying F*** and S**** and some other words i don’t care to even try and utter even with star symbols **. My Girlfriend was not happy one bit. We waited quite awhile for Kacey to give us the check and she didnt come back to get it so we walked up to pay with someone else. Persy’s is not a bad place at all but this particular server needs to clean her mouth out with soap.

Awesome breakfast, horrible service 1. The waitress told us to seat our selves near the window and she would be there in a minute. 2. She took her time to get our order after bringing our food she never came back to check on us. The waitress was too busy talking to her colleagues and swearing up a storm. Which I found to be appallingly and just un called for. Also around 2:47pm customer walked into the establishment the waitress quickly said were closed though the sign stated they were open 7−3pm. 3. She casually left our bill underneath a cup that was wet, and we sat waiting for her to come back to take care of the bill. Instead we walked up to the counter to pAy.

Okay. Our server was nice but flawed. He’s not an Olympic skater so it’s okay. The breakfast was good, solid, tasty fare. Blueberry pancakes were over berried but there are worse things. Coffee was good with a comfortable ambiance.

I’ve been to Persy’s Place twice and have had some pretty good meals! On my first visit, I had the classic heuvos rancheros, biscuits and sausage gravy, bacon and homefries. The heuvos racheros were great, the eggs were fluffy and the tortilla at the bottom did a good job of just sopping up the flavors. The biscuits were good too, albeit a little dry. The second trip I had the biscuits and gravy again, but this time I went with the portuguese chourico benedict. The english muffin served as the sopping agent of this meal, and the chourico, peppers and onions were cooked very well. The portion size of each meal is very good, I even had to take some of the second meal home(which is very rare). The prices are fair as well, and their menu is huge. Persey’s is definitely the go to breakfast place whenever I visit Plymouth.

The harvest Benedict was my favorite ! The cinnamon crumpets on the weak side of flavor. Very friendly waitress Karen. My son truly enjoyed the endless eggs. There’s a lot of craftsy items and cards etc in the restaurant. The crêpe with ricotta was not sweet, none of us cared for it. We did enjoy our grilled chocolate chip muffin.

Not sure why this place is getting 3 out of 5 right now, I think it’s the best breakfast place in Plymouth. My father-in-law goes here with us religiously when we visit. The corned beef hash is great, the cornbread is tasty, and the scrambled eggs are way better than I could ever make them. I usually dial up the specials(broccoli bomb if it’s available) or the Benedict menu. There are a ton of options and variations on classics so you can get something different every time or, put another way, there is something for everybody. Healthy options abound as well. Check it out!

My sister and I planned a trip to Nantucket from New York this past weekend, and we wanted a list of good places to eat while we were there — being the self proclaimed foodies that we are. Persey’s was on the top of the list, highest rated on her online search. **This review is based on a dining experience at 9AM on a Friday in early June.** We arrived and it was moderately quiet. The interior is this old-fashioned general store/country style, with wood tables and bench seating, and ceramic roosters all over the place. Seated immediately, the famous menu of «extensive breakfast and lunch» was offered. Dear LAWD! They weren’t kidding! Omelettes, pancakes, waffles, crepes, sides of potato, fruit, meat, 1 pancake, 2 pancakes… I don’t think I even read the whole menu because if I didn’t close my eyes at some point, I would have possibly fainted from overwhelming excitement. Every entrée came with a choice of two sides, and for the amount of food that came to our table, the price we paid was bordering ridiculous. I ordered two fish cakes, scrambled eggs, with a side of home fries and apple sauce. My food, in its plenty, was practically spilling over the plate. For $ 8.99, and incredibly delicious taste, how could you resist? My sister was happy with her meal — we shared her two sides of grilled corn bread and cinnamon crumpets, the latter was fluffy, not too sweet, and served warm — because it’s made fresh. HIGHLY recommended. Many low-rated reviews we saw on here commented on how slow the service was. My feeling, and also speaking on behalf of my sister, is that food made fresh and from scratch served hot and tastes great is 100% worth the wait(if there is one). Our food took TOPS30 minutes to arrive. Our server Jeremy was extremely attentive, circling around every 15 minutes or so to check on coffee refills, super friendly, really great with giving us time to look over the menu(again, we were overwhelmed and EVERYTHING looked good, so it was hard deciding… lol) and was also very open and honest to suggesting recommendations. Also, not for nothing, but it happened to be my birthday on this day of travel, and at no request of mine, Jeremy sent me off with a 20 oz to-go cup full of hot chocolate with whipped cream 2 inches above the brim at no charge. A really sweet gesture — one that called for a huge hug and a big ‘thank you’ prior to our leaving. There is street parking, a bike rack to the side of the building, and the Hyannis Ferry is about 5 minutes away for any travelers taking off for Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard. A great stop before your trip! Leave yourself some time — they board 15 minutes before departure and the parking lot is a slight distance from the dock. There is a little walking involved. I would recommend leaving some extra time in the event it’s a bit crowded in here. While I don’t agree that the reason food may take so long is due to poor management, I suppose I can understand the frustration of an order of eggs taking a little longer than let’s say IHOP, who’s batter is probably premixed and comes out of a carton and flash fried. EVERYTHING here is made fresh to order — so again, «slow service» here just means«your food is being prepared with care, please be patient.» Thank you Persey’s! You definitely started our trip off right. We’ll definitely be seeing you again*
