Finally tried Nosh last week and I have to admit I was a little disappointed after having heard great things about the restaurant. We started with the crispy Brussels sprouts, which were pretty good but a little heavy on the oil. I ordered a burger with bacon and caramelized onions. The caramelized onions were cold which didn’t pair well with my overly well done burger(in all fairness the waitress never asked for a temperature and I failed to specify). My boyfriend ordered the chicken Parmesan which was a far better meal than the burger, the pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. As for the atmosphere, a little dark inside for my liking.

They have a new menu-more variety. Extensive selection of beers. Food is so-so. We had chicken sandwich which was quite rubbery. The wings were nice as an appetizer. Have had their chicken parmesan in the past which was okay but last time had to send it back because it was burned. We have so many good options that this is not near the top of my list.

You would drive by this hidden gem a 1000 times but it is definitely a chef’s play pen. The specialty drinks(adult chocolate milk) & Apps(meatloaf bites, Shepard’s pie tots & fried Brussels sprouts) were celebrated and then … The main courses were presented and we couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful everything was. Very creative, real food. Only knocking a star off because it’s simply not a great plaza or that nice inside. It’s first impression is a great feel if you are hanging with the guys but may give pause otherwise. Not unclean or scary, just looks and feels more like a bar vs. nice restaurant(which the food could easily support). All kinds of people in there though — families, groups in 20’s, older couples, tatoo’d motorcycle crew to hipster to yuppies and everything in between. I’d take my grandmother, golfing buddies, kids, biking friends in there all without hesitation, especially anyone that loves good food & drink — no need to dress up Lastly, it’s got a great selection of craft beers & local spirits — sort of like a great home bar selection

Comfortable atmosphere, rather good food. Live music is sometimes too loud, and there are some too dark parts of the restaurant that make reading a menu difficult. Love the burgers, taco Tuesdays have some amazing options, and there are a number of excellent small bites on the menu that make a meal of sampling fun. Very good craft beer selection, although the wine list is disappointing. Service is really the only complaint. Sketchy at best. Even seated at the bar, you will be lucky to distract the server from chit chat with the owner and his bevy of friends, whom you will see every night. Wish this place payed more attention to the clients, and less attention to the owner and his buds.

Let me start by saying how great and friendly the staff was. Great location, great vibe and atmosphere. Kids friendly. All of the above 5 stars. Food wise i’ll have to give 1 star from my personal experience. I was in town visiting Plymouth Rock with my friend and was referred by a local to have lunch here. My friend ordered a cheese pasta dish and she loved it. I ordered a chicken pasta dish and lets just say i ended up with an extremely upset stomach(food poisoning) and had to go to urgent care. My friend was fine and didn’t get sick, so i’m pretty sure it was the chicken.

We got chicken parm, steak frites and their stuffed meatball apps. The meatballs were good but way too pricey for the size. The chicken parm did not really taste very parmy, it was kind of bland and the steak frites were down right awful. The service and atmosphere was good.

We went here for a birthday dinner. We were not disappointed. The wait staff was very attentive and courteous. The food we ordered was very good. The menu is a bit limited. especially if one is vegetarian, so not a lot of options there. That may make me not return however. The veggie burger they had was very delightful. I thought for what we ordered, the bill was on the higher side Overall, I would return again!

Best place to eat real, homemade, delicious food on the south shore/plymouth area. Great deals on wing night, burger night, & taco night. Everything I’ve ordered off the menu has been amazing and it makes me want to try more! Love this place!

Gastropub is a bit of a stretch. Out of our party of 4, nobody’s entrée was anything special. The service was not very good, just barely adequate. We asked to substitute a salad for fries but were told that was an impossible request. We could only order an entrée salad in addition to our meal. Dessert was a very simple cheap apple pie filling with whipped cream and they charged $ 8(price not listed anywhere). We overheard one of the servers saying… wow we sold almost all of them?!(Aka we just made a bunch of money) With so many better options in the area, I won’t be going back.

Excellent. Our server was extremely familiar with the menu and gave great suggestions. I had the Nosh Burger and it was so good. The meat is ground on the premises and even the condiments are handmade. It was a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I felt very comfortable bringing my mother and her partner there as they were visiting from out of town. I also brought my almost one year old son and he didn’t feel out of place. It is nice to have a family friendly place without talking animals or people singing corporate contrived birthday songs every fifteen minutes. This is also a place that would be great for friends or a date night. We will definitely be back.

First of all the place is in a great location and seems to have a fun atmosphere inside. I’m not much of a beer expert so when presented with the drink menu, I was immediately searching for my go-to wheat ale. The place is apparently known for lots of fancy craft beers but I explained to the waitress that I just wanted a wheat ale. She peered over my shoulder as I scanned and said«there’s a wheat ale» to which I responded, «sure!». Apparently I didn’t look close enough and the waitress didn’t bother to explain that the wheat ale I chose had chili pepper in it and for me it was not drinkable. I didn’t complain since if I had studied the menu more I might have seen the description better. So here comes the Shepherd Pie Tots. Simply delicious and genius. Crispy on the outside with creamy mashed, corn and beef on the inside, sitting in yummy gravy with some shaved parm on top. We both ordered burgers and to my surprise did not come with fries. The menu is written very minimalistic and doesn’t really have much description. Actually at first we were both confused if we were actually ordering burgers because no where did it say«burger». It just said in the hand or something quirky like that. Well the burgers were cooked perfectly. Mine had blue cheese, bacon jam and onions with what seemed like homemade pickles and pickled onions on the side. The big disappointment here was the bun. It was literally a bun that you would get at the grocery store… like an 8 pack for 99 cents. Drab. It was like buying a Mercedes and putting Walmart plastic hub caps on it. This place could be great. Please have a more educated wait staff that is eager to explain the menu(like hey, that burger doesn’t come with anything!)…and for goodness sake, please get some decent buns for your burgers!

We really had high expectations for fresh local food with a changing menu. It felt a bit aspirational. It wasn’t awful or anything — this is a common trend in my Plymouth reviews — nothing stands out as horrible around here, it’s just that nothing stands out. So when I read about this place I had high hopes… gastropub…local…these are words I like to hear. Spouse had a burger that he reported as being«OK. Nothing amazing». I had some fish that was properly cooked, which makes me happy, but felt overbearing in some spots and underwhelming in others. I was supposed to have a vegetable that was missing — so I got no vegetable at all. When you work with local sources, you’ve got to have a back-up plan. If the veg isn’t available, what do you put on the plate? «More rice» shouldn’t be the answer. Most of the menu felt heavy and flavor saturated. I’d love to se someone local get really creative with lightning and brightening food instead of this trend toward heavy and flavor laden. Maybe it will be Nosh that does it. I live in hope.

It was a quiet Tuesday night. We came in, and the guy at the bar told us to sit wherever we wanted. The waitress came over. She took our drink order, and gave us our menus. We started with the Shepherd Pie tots, and they were delicious. I ordered the Dan-wich, it was a chicken sandwich with an interesting twist. If I lived in the area, I’d be a regular.

I don’t think I’ve ever sat down for a meal at a restaurant, and literally had to go to another restaurant afterwards because the entire party is still starving We sat down on a Sunday and only the brunch menu was available all day. It must have been an off day, because service was extremely slow(we were one of the only parties in the restaurant, and there were multiple waitresses, yet we had a hard time getting service to put in our order, get the check, etc.). Everything is pretty a la carte, and portions were meager. The burgers were tasty, but small(this is coming from someone who typically can barely eat half a burger). The fries with aioli were delish, but barely enough for one person, and certainly not enough to share, though they were listed under the«Share» portion of the menu. Everyone ordered burgers(because the brunch menu was so limited) and fries and we were still starving. We debated putting in a second order of food, but we knew we’d have to order many more plates because the portions were just so tiny and we’d still be hungry and not satiated. Extremely underwhelming. Perhaps go here if you’re not at all hungry?

Nosh was all kinds of awesome. The ingredients were locally sourced wherever possible and freshly prepared(the waitress said they don’t even have a freezer… everything they serve is made then and there), and as others have said, the menu is funky and eclectic but not weird or offputting. Even the pickiest of eaters will find something on the menu to appeal… my son is proof of that; there wasn’t a proper chicken finger selection on the menu, but they basically cut up the piece of breaded chicken they used in the chicken sandwich and though initially wary, he liked it a lot. Considering how picky he is and how they’re not a place really geared toward kids, that was huge. Definitely a «Mikey discovering Life cereal» moment. I had the Nosh Burger myself(no cheese)… very likely the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. Though I probably could have ordered just the fried Brussels sprouts as my meal and been perfectly happy. Bacon salt and lemon aioli, friends… more things in life would benefit from that combo. Fantastic beer selection, too. Just some really top notch craft selections. Basically, if I find myself in the general vicinity of Plymouth again, I will go out of my way to go back.

This place is so chill! I came here this weekend for my third time, and again had a really enjoyable evening. If I had to categorize the atmosphere I’d say«hipster sports bar» haha! There are tv’s with the game on but not obnoxiously located EVERY single place you look. I think it’s the red and black paint scheme, in addition to the bar set up, that gives it kind of a hipster feel. In any case, they have a shitload of a amazing beers on tap, including many local, obscure labels. The food selection is a little on the eclectic side– there’s the usual American pub food, but with an upscale twist. Nosh is Plymouth’s little diamond in the rough.

After a day of sightseeing in Plymouth I decided to stop by this little treat. The exterior is a bit deceiving with respect to how large the place actually is. The tavern is relatively small. It’s cozy and dark. It felt like the bar itself took up a large portion of the space. I have no objections to this as the bevy selection was not lacking. They had good selection of beer as well as cocktails. I was very impressed with the menu and disappointed that I could not have more things. If I ever have another opportunity, id order the Poutine… Important to know is that all the burgers come with no sides. They expect you to purchase the sides separately, which isn’t a big deal. I had the truffle burger and a side of loaded tater tots. The burger was cooked well, the carmelized onions were flavorful. The truffle was difficult to discern, however. Still a very respectable burger. The loaded tots were amaze. Imagine mashed potatoes with scallions and cheese rolled up into a ball, breaded, and fried. That’s the loaded tater tot. It was crispy, warm, and went well with the sauce provided. Up until this point, it was all good. And then dessert happened. Nosh has three desserts, every one of which comes in a mason jar. I was very disappointed in the«magic bar.» It was basically a jar of whip cream with some fixins thrown in. While in theory, it sounds good, in practice, it was a just a slop. Mediocre at best. Still if you like beer and burgers I recommend it.

Yikes, this place is awesome! So when you grow up in an Irish family, tasty food generally is not a childhood experience(unless you’re over your italian friend’s house). Anyway, I hate meatloaf. Let me just be clear, I dispise, loath and generally feel there should be a constitutional ammendment that outlaws it. Thay may be due to the grey, dry, tasteless stuff that my Mom made and we buried in ketchup. So I see Meatloaf Bites on the menu. It’s gotta be a trap so I asked our server if they were good. She gives me an affirmative so I order it along with some scallops. It was a juicy, bacon wraped piece of luciousness. So well seasoned and disapeared in short order. Scallops were perfectly prepared and served on a piece of Boston Lettuce. Wednesday is burger night which thrilled my burger loving son. Great place, amazing value and lovingly crafted food.
