Loved this local joint in Lido Beach. Interior is nothing special — but I think they have some outdoor seating the summer which means I’ll definitely be back. Mussels were a hit, and the surf & turf salad was HUGE& Great!(just wish the shrimp was grilled/sauteed & not cold) Service was friendly. Perfect place to come, grab a beer, eat good food & watch sports!

Stopped in on a Wednesday for a late lunch after business dealings in Pt Lookout. Nice local joint, regular patrons and a good bar-person. I enjoyed a pint of Smitwick followed by some Brooklyn IPA to wash down the ABC burger they serve. The beers were fresh and cold, glasses clean and sized properly. The burger was really good, served with some awesome crispy fries. It was late afternoon, so I can’t speak of «the crowd» other than it seems they were regulars. After the initial«sizing up» of a stranger waltzing in, they made it their business to make me feel welcome. A nice place to go to, I will return to check out the late afternoon /evening crowd.

Terrific atmosphere. Owners Mo, Jan, Bruce are not only wonderful with diners, but it’s obvious that the wait staff is very fond of them. Oh, yes, the food is excellent, really terrific. There are always interesting specials. Always look forward to go there. What a change from the first day it opened under different owner. Go there and you will have a relaxed and lovely lunch dinner — and brunch.

Great little spot! The owner was very gracious and took the time to formally introduce himself to our party. Nice, genuine touch. We asked him for a menu suggestion and he recommended the fish taco’s without hesitation. Great call! If you enjoy a good fish taco then this is probably the best I’ve had outside of SoCal. Large beer and wine selection and very friendly service. Already making plans for a return which I believe is about the best recommendation I can give. Bön Apetit!

I was expecting a more advanced beer list for some reason. The price for two burgers and a few beers was about $ 70. The location is very quiet and laid back which was a nice change of pace around NYC, but it’s more of a senior citizen bingo tournament kind of quiet than it is a romantic getaway kind of quiet. The blue cheese burger was very good, no doubt about it! I’m satisfied with the meal and the environment but I’m not exactly over the moon about it either.

This place is quite busy at 5pm ish… the service was alright. Please don’t trust the bus boy. he mixes up your water up. we asked him«how do you know this water is mine? » he answered, I remember! The third time he mixed it up. Then he walks away. … I highly recommend this place to pour you water with a pitcher or give you new cups of water.. We ordered a burger with tomato and lectucce, they forgot about it. We asked the waiter once they forgot. Asked them second time, two plates of tomato and lettuce on our table. . The holy garlic chicken wings were plain without the garlic. holy god I have to say, the service was a mess

Have to say, their signature burger & fries were very good, but this place can be very tricky with their beer prices! I completely agree with what another reviewer said, «If you’re going to charge outrageous prices, put the *COST* on the beer menu.» Only way to find out what each individual beer costs is to ask the waitress as there are no prices on the menu & they’ll(*RELUCTANTLY*) look it up on their fancy tablet. That’s completely ridiculous! Post prices on the menu! You’re only going to annoy people who end up getting shocked by the beer bill & wonder why it cost so much! Let them know up front so this doesn’t happen. Our waitress was a little bit sketchy. Decided to order a expensive beer(I only knew because I asked) when my first«cheap»($ 7-$ 8?) one was empty & even though the place wasn’t busy at all, she took her sweet time delivering it. Was almost about to get up & get it myself as it was just a stones throw away from our table! For the beer prices they charge along with it being not busy at all, it should have been delivered promptly!

Fantastic experience I had the chicken Caprese which I Highly recommend. Everything was fresh and tasty. It went great with a pint of cold founders IPA For appetizers we had the pretzel bites. So good. The service was top notch. I found the wait staff to be Very knowledgable and very attentive. I have lived in Brooklyn, queens and Los Angeles and can honestly say this was the best dining experience I’ve had.

Food was solid; service was so-so. Our waitress was a little aloof and was more concerned about gabbing and folding napkins, oddly enough. However, we had a burger and the fish and chips. Burger was good, a little undercooked for medium; fish and chips were tasty. Would suggest if you need a spot to eat and grab a drink, but wouldn’t go out of my way to attend this again.

It’s like going to your friends home. We have met some great people at the bar, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is comforting and upscale. The bicycles are lined up outside and the doors in the bar are open in the warmer months to let the sea breeze in. Parking can be difficult if you come later in the evening but we usually go around 6pm so we never have had a problem. Everything and nothing you would expect from a beach community restaurant.

Great food! Homemade soups. Friendly staff. I hear it gets pretty busy depending on night. Limited parking as no parking lot, but street parking. My friends rave about the burgers but have not tried yet.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. They have a large selection of craft beers as well as a large specials menu. The mussels and fish tacos are two of my favorite dishes here. They are also busy, but the staff is very hardworking and friendly. This is a great place to go during warm weather since they open the window doors at the front of the restaurant. Definitely recommend!

This place makes no sense. If you walked in to one door, it’s some sort of bar scene. Walk in another, a family sit-down diner type restaurant. Then you notice they craft beers on tap-what a selection! Then you order the food and see the duck spring rolls or BBQ rib slider or whatever the chef it making that day. The food is amazing and way beyond what you expect. The service is excellent and the bar is great. This was my favorite go to spot after work when I was staying with my mom in Lido between our move out of New York. Definitely a great place for dinner and drinks. Don’t let the décor fool you.

Fantastic food with a great bar to boot… Everything is good. But, try the buffalo chicken dip for a real pub treat. Then move to the pretzel bites… YUM. The tid-bits are flavorful & tender with plenty of cheese, the fries are crispy, and the burgers are the best on the point. Try the Black & Bleu. Love the fact that the baked clams are chopped, although some might not like this. Beer, Beer, Beer… so have your choice! The desserts are delicious including lava cake & mud pie… but go for the funnel fries for a real carnival-like treat with a twist. Love this place… a local Cheers where everybody will know your name if you let them.

I’ll be honest, my expectations were pretty low upon entering this place. It looks like your typical bar and grill, and I was not expecting anything other than typical bar food. Average age for a Saturday night dinner crowd was probably around 50 years old, and the walls are cluttered with your average mix of bar paraphernalia… dart board, various beer signs and mirrors… and there’s a lottery machine at the front door(something I’d expect to see only in dive bars). Décor is definitely questionable. Waitress took a little while to greet the table, but she was friendly. Took our order with an iPad. Beer list was fairly impressive(lacking the standard Bud Light bullshit) and they even had Lagunitas Lil Sumpin Sumpin, one of my favorites. PS — free beer with Unilocal check in!(It’s a Miller Lite, but hey, it’s free). Manager came over to personally tell us about the specials. Very knowledgeable, good sense of humor. We had pulled pork potato skins(very good and nice size portion), Filet mignon sliders(nothing to write home about, but decent size steaks for mini burgers), and a scallops special with a brown curry type sauce and roasted kale(freaking awesome, cooked and seasoned perfectly, great flavors). I’d go back just for the scallops, never expected such a great dish at a bar like this. Dessert we had«funnel cake french fries»(great presentation, big portion). Meal ran us over $ 100 for two, which is a little expensive, but then again I guess that’s pretty standard for drinks, apps, entrees, and dessert. I’m right down the road in Long Beach, so I’ll definitely return.
