One of the best spots down the shore! Great appetizers. Pool table shuffle board darts and a bunch of tvs. Can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a few drinks or a meal before hitting the boardwalk.

I’m really not one to complain at all about service, but there’s a first for everything. Went there around early Aug 2015 on a Monday. The place wasn’t packed at all and our waiter was«overwhelmed»(his words) by our 7 top. To even get a beer took longer than 10 minutes was my first indicator and the bar is literally 10 ft away. Then it took an hour for food to arrive. Ordered the paella, the plate wasn’t hot, the calamari was rubbery, I literally took one bite and said«nope!» I took my plate and placed it on the table behind me until another waitress asked if something was wrong. I replied with the already mentioned reasons and didn’t order another item. I was done. I’m not a chef, but given this place is literally near the beach the seafood quality was very disappointing and the waiter was nowhere to be found after my protest. The place needs some serious change in service and food quality.

I was initially concerned when making a reservation for 9 and they said they could take us at any time but was pleasantly surprised! First, our waiter was friendly and funny. Very nice guy. Everyone enjoyed their meal. from the chicken wrap to the pecan crusted salmon. one caveat is there is nothing gluten free here so do not expect to eat if you’re Celiac. Drinks were refilled in a timely fashion. It is about a mile from the end of the boardwalk but worth the trip.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We were a table of 7 adults, 2 kids and the waiter told me he was overwhelmed. There was only one other table he had to contend with. It took over an hour to get our food. When one of us got the paella, the calamari was so rubbery it was gross. The dish was cold. He sent it back. Others got the lobster/crab frittata, what we received was a large flat crab cake. There was no eggs to be seen, nor could I tell if there was lobster in it. Sad bc the place is right near the water. I would only suggest going there if you want to go to their bar, and maybe sandwiches are good there. I’m making an assumption Abt that, but anything else you are risking it!

Food was awesome, however I gave a 3⁄5 due to the lack of service. Food and drinks took forever and it wasn’t even busy. If they had more staff and a little more efficiency it would be a 5⁄5 for sure.

Normally wouldn’t write a review because all we had were a couple apps and kids meals so can’t really judge the food. But the service was so friendly and helpful, and the vibe so right on, I have to. Cool fish on the walls, and the place is spacious and clean. Played a quick game of shuffleboard(awesome!) on the way out with my 14 year old, first time he’d played. We were headed to friends for dinner so stopped in the attached little liquor store for wine, super convenient. Our waitress took SUCH good care of us(two of us and the three kids), had a great attitude thank you! She mentioned something about writing a review on Unilocal, discretely, which tells me they’re trying. So here you go. Go for the vibe and the service, the apps we had were good. The beer and wine were great for us for a sports bar(a decent pinot grigio glass and a good IPA). Family friendly but also beach hip. We will definitely be back, keep up the great staff!

Marlin’s is one of my favorite places to eat! they have a very diverse menu and no matter what you choose it will be delicious! Ive gone on monday nights for half priced apps and I’ve had my birthday dinner there too! Great bartenders! Fun place to listen to music, play some pool, or darts! If you haven’t been, you are missing out!

Food is surprisingly upscale. Bartenders are cool and crowd is typically very chill and somewhat older. Lots of big TVs and drink specials. Bright, clean and open, unlike The Arc down the block. Great spot for happy hour after the beach. Live bands here and there. Liquor store is attached. 711 and pizza place next door.

After all these years, Marlin’s is still a very chill place to hangout, grab food, drinks and listen to a local band. I haven’t been here since SuperStorm Sandy, but very happy to see, nothing has changed. My business partner and I stopped in after a 12 hour day photographing a wedding. We were looking for a laid back comfy place to grab a bite and enjoy a cocktail after our very long day working. We were pleased to find lots of seats at the bar open(on a Saturday night) — friendly bar service, good merlot, great clam chowder, tasty ribs and burgers. A mellow band topped off our great evening. Would definitely be back as everything on the menu looked delicious.

Fun little place, not too much going on here though. I give a plus to the package liquor they sell. I give a plus to the live music they had. Bartenders were nice, patrons seemed pretty fun. The music wasn’t so loud as to not be able to converse with the person next to you. Overall it’s a good place to grab a drink and purchase some beer for the trip home.

It was July 4th weekend, and we couldn’t find a friggin’ park spot anywhere near the beach… so we ended up at the marlin’s café for food since there’s a parking lot. Glad we did… the bbq wings were great, bartenders were awesome, and mega touch. This place is great for happy hour/quick bite to eat if you want to avoid the chaos at the boardwalk for a few. Oh yeah… and there’s a liquor store attached to it!

Stopped here for a few beers after taking the Jersey coast train while waiting for a friend to pick me up. It was empty on a summer afternoon in the summer. The bartender was nice and the beers were ok. I would come back at night, possibly.

I cant really speak for the food since I have only drank here but the service is great and the prices are right. The crowd here is entertaining as well with a lot of cool peeps and also some others to laugh at.

Great spot to watch Sunday football games. $ 7 pitchers, $ 7 pizzas & $ 7 wings… and are some of the best around. Try the wings«BBQ grilled…» so delicious! Bacon cheeseburger pizza is also outrageous!
