Can’t get enough of the chicken bowl… love it! I must go come here often because the employees know me by name now. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, especial Yunel! He is always very friendly and always greets me with a smile.

I love coming to this particular flame broiler. The staff is always so friendly and very fast. The cashiers are always so sweet and very welcoming. Customer service is great. The food is always looking fresh and tastes great. No gummy or chewy beef/chicken here. It’s always so clean. I love the vibe of this so place. This was me third time coming here and I have to say that I’m in love with this location. I’ve been to others but haven’t really felt as welcomed as I do when I come here. I would definitely recommend this to everyone in pomona.

I don’t know if there’s been a change of ownership?! My chicken bowl wasn’t edible not even for my pups! Chicken was burnt to a crisp… WTH Gross won’t be going back there anytime soon!

This is my to go place whenever I forget to pack my lunch, they are fast, the service is good. Only reason I’m giving them a four star is because the teriyaki sauce tasted salty compared to other times. Overall a great spot to grab a quick lunch.

I’m disappointed to see this Flame Broiler so lowly rated. Food quality was up to par with any other franchise, but the difference here was that the staff was AMAZING. SUPER friendly for a quick-service style restaurant.

I had a BOGO coupon from the entertainment book that had this EXACT address on it and didn’t expire until the end of the year. When I got here the guy told me they don’t accept that coupon anymore. Don’t they HAVE to take the coupon? Either way, wasted trip, and all I wanted was a chicken bowl!

FOODPOISONING. I stopped in here with my girlfriend for a quick bite before going to a concert at the glasshouse.(7÷24÷15) The cashier was friendly enough. We both ordered chicken and veggie bowls. I got a Diet Coke and it didn’t have enough syrup in it. I didn’t complain(the only reason I got the soda was so I could throw some rum in there to sip on before the show, so whatever). As soon as we sat down after grabbing our sodas our food was ready. Less than a minute to whip that up?. Made to order? Uhhh i think not. I usually like Flame Broiler but the food was room temp and the chicken was dry and everything was flavorless. We were starving and in a hurry so we doused it in sauce and ate quickly and took off. Less than 3 hours later my girlfriend was vomiting. It ruined the concert for her. She’s been nauseated and vomiting and experiencing other unpleasant symptoms of food poisoning since then(5 days later). She just went to the doc today and ruled out all other possibilities, she definitely got food poisoning from this place. Flame broiler is generally OK for me, but this location is gnarly.

The chicken to rice ratio is better than any other flameboiler I’ve been too. In addition, their chicken is pretty moist. I can’t even count the number of times I have come back to this flameboiler and their excellent quality has remain consistent every time! I am one of those health conscious people and flameboiler is one of my go to places when I need a quick meal. Being a chain, I expected this flameboiler to be equivalent to the other ones I sample before. However I was completely blown away by this specific flameboiler’s quality. This is pretty evident by how long the line gets during lunch; I guess that’s the only con to this place, but their staff have always been very efficient at keeping everything moving

I came to this place for late lunch and ordered a white meat teriyaki chicken bowl with white rice. I was greeted nicely by the cashier and patiently waited for my food. Everything looked good and tasted decent. As I was finishing up my bowl, I was ready to eat one of the last pieces of chicken and rice when I saw a piece of aluminum wire mixed in with my food! I was horrified! I immediately rushed over to the cashier guy and showed him what I found and he smiled and said«oh yeah, that’s a wire from our cleaning brush, do you want a new chicken bowl?» He said this with a smile. I demanded I get a refund but he explained that he was unable to and only the manager could give refunds. Since the manager was not present, I was given a gift card to eat here again. Yeah right! I will NEVER eat here again.

I’ve been here twice already and the cashier doesn’t seem to understand when I asked for 2 plates«The works» plate and both are to go !!. She ended up giving me bowls instead of plates !!! She insisted that I said bowls, not plates. Twice I’ve been there, twice she’s done it before!!! She talks so loud is annoying !!! I even told the manager that she doesn’t listen to her customers, she gives them the wrong orders! Even the manager was a ding bat!!! I would give you zero stars!!! But this message would not allow me to do so, so a minus star for this dump along with the cashier and manager!!!

Ok. So first of all. I’m walking up to flame Broiler and their was a BIG roach outside of the place. Gross. So I go in, order the workers were nice, they all greeted me. So I go to sit down while my order is being made, and as I’m pulling out a chair, the top part comes off and next thing you know im trying to hold onto it and I have acrylics, so anyone who has had them knows how much pain you can be in when you’re trying to grip something with your nail! It was so unexpected. I told the worker«uhm your chair is broken.» She comes and gets the part if the chair out of my hand and says«oh ya it’s been like that». She laughed it off and she put it back on and goes about her business. THISISNOTOKWITHME, I have a daughter and God forbid if she pulled that chair and that part fell on her, or dropped it on her head or foot, I would be infuriated! Or just to anyone that could happen. That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. I don’t understand why she wouldn’t remove the chair to avoid any type of accident. Safety is a big deal to me, so that is why I am giving a low rating. Other than that the good was ok. It wasn’t as good as other locations. I won’t be back. This is my second time I had a bad experience here. Not happy with this place at all.

I went to this place because I was super excited to have a restaurant like Waba Grill near my office. Though it is the same basic concept, Flame Broiler doesn’t have as many options, and the quality is not as great. I ordered the chicken and veggie bowl, and had to drown it in teryaki sauce to make it taste okay. Also, their root beer was lacking syrup when I was there before the lunchtime rush…

Now I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but I was in the mood for waba grill and I’d heard this place is pretty much the same thing. So I head in around 7:30 pm, the staff looks at me and ignores my presence for a couple of minutes. Then the casher walks up to me and tells me I can only get chicken. At this point I start thinking their about to close and I’m that annoying guy who comes in late. So I go along with it and get the chicken although that’s not what I wanted. But I didn’t want to be that guy. The casher immediately puts it in a to go box without giving me options. Once again didn’t want to be that guy. So I grab my food and head home. Man did I regret not driving a little further to waba grill the food was very salty, dry and just mildly above room temperature, and to top it off I go to right this review and I realized that they didn’t close for another 30 mins. Won’t be coming back I’ll stick to waba instead

The food is nothing to rave about. It’s cheap with what appears to be a lot of processed ingredients but I guess if you’re in the mood for something quick and not McDonalds then this would be a fair alternative. There is not that much seating space so I would be prepared to take your order to go or have to wait a while before you can sit.

Horrible service cashier gave me white rice instead of brown and fought with me saying that it was what I ordered. Was refusing to change it saying it was my fault and no exchanges! I will NEVER go back to this location. It wasn’t like I walked out with food and came back. the food only took about 2 minutes and as soon as she handed it to me I handed it back asking for brown rice like I ordered. They just kept point to a sign that says no exchanges. I finally got brown rice with an attitude from the cashier and cook/manager! Who made me separate my chicken onto a paper plate to only replace the rice! One star only because you have to rate to post.

With the limited options for a quick lunch around the area, I found myself at Flame Broiler for lunch. When I arrived, the place was packed. My order came out relatively quick. I ordered a chicken bowl and it was oh so disappointing. The chicken was super dry and not very tasty at all. I think the way to make this better is to drown it in sauce. The rice was also dry. I don’t think ill be returning to this particular flame boiler, but I’m willing to try another location.

I’ve been to other Flame Broilers, which rightfully deserved 4 star ratings. This one, however, does not. This Flame Broiler is located in the corner of Mission and Garey. It opens at 10 a.m., which I thought was great since it gives a breakfast option. It was on 12÷12÷12, the time in which pretentious Christmas songs play ubiquitously. They are annoyingly inescapable, and here it was 2 to 3 decibels too high. I was that captive audience as I was going to eat my meal on the premises. The chicken was dry and chewy. It was 10 a.m. yet the meat looked as though it was re-cooked. There’s an extra charge for substituting rice with veggies.

I like Flame Broiler as a chain and I’ll usually stop in for a rice bowl for lunch if it’s in the area. I like to believe that they are a bit healthier than most other fast food joints(no MSG, no frying). That being said, it is really easy for FB to cut costs by filling a bowl with at least 85% rice and the rest with meat and green onions and unfortunately during my visit this is what this place did. I had to do some digging and mixing in order to ensure that I did not end up with a bowl full of nothing but rice at the end. The meat(chicken) tasted ok although I did have to add some teriyaki sauce. This place did have a weird container of cabbage sitting out at room temperature near the sauces. I’m a fan of kimchi but I decided not to touch whatever the heck it was.

Came here for a quick lunch with two of my buddies. Parking lot was packed which was a headache. Inside is a small shop, nothing fancy, tables only accommodate groups of 2 which I thought was weird, so we had to pull up a chair. The owner/manger was very friendly and nice. He asked us if it was our first time there and told us that Western University of Health Sciences students get a 10% discount. All the menu items are variations on rice, meat, and vegetables. There are mini-bowls, regular bowls, and plates. One friend got a half-chicken and half-beef mini-bowl with brown rice while the other one got the works mini-bowl with everything. They each got drinks, so it brought their totals to $ 5 something. I got beef and vegetables in a regular sized bowl with no drink which was a little under $ 6. There was a short wait before the food came out. In my personal opinion, the mini-bowls are really small. It is brimming, but it looks like one of those tiny Asian bowls. My regular size bowl might be twice the size of the other one. I think it’s just mainly more rice. The bowl itself doesn’t give you much eating room because things look like they’re going to fall out, so you have to eat all slow. That being said, I think this makes you feel full because it takes so long to eat. The meat was all right, not salty, a little sweet, nothing overly remarkable. The vegetables tasted like boiled vegetables, but had a nice firmness to them. They have Magic Sauce(which as previously stated is super sweet syrupy soy sauce) and Hot Sauce(which taste like hot wings sauce) which I applied liberally to give the white rice some life. They have cabbage and carrots marinated/pickled in their hot sauce in a container near the counter which is free for everyone. I’m pretty sure it’s their version of kimchi. I really wanted some but there’s nowhere to freaking put it! My friend said her brown rice was really dry and the other one, who suggested the place, said he completely regretted the decision to eat there. I don’t think it’s a bad place to grab lunch if you’re looking for a semi-hearty and healthy alternative. I have mixed feelings about the pricing. How often do I plan to return? I really can’t say.
